With leagues across Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports and Sun Dream Team there is plenty to catch up on following the international break. We look at those who have excelled during Gameweek 5 and those who are a little richer after having a great week in our PlayON game.

Fantasy Premier League

We have a new entry straight in at top spot in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game. Hemant Gosavi racked up 57 points last weekend, with Chelsea duo Oscar and John Terry both returning double-figure hauls, while Swansea’s Ben Davies and Arsenal’s in-form Aaron Ramsey also produced as Hemant clinched fifth spot in the overall standings, with 378 points so far.

Tarik Alibou sits in second after a Gameweek 5 score of 59. Seven of his players scored five points or more, with Yaya Toure, Per Mertesacker, Ross Barkley and Davies his chief protagonists. Stuart Hartley slips to third despite double-figure hauls from both Michu and Mesut Ozil in midfield, Ed C rockets into fourth in the Scout league after an incredible 82 points last weekend and Hafisi Nazir completes the top five, sitting on 359 points overall. Thanks to the efforts of our featured managers, Fantasy Football Scout remains at the top of the best leagues – the code to join is 1580-1106.

Wasana Busby moves to the top of the Fantasy Football Scout Members league with an overall score of 340 – Barkley, Toure, Terry and Jan Vertonghen all delivered last weekend. Corey Silveira slips to second after a 40-point haul in Gameweek 5, while Ivan Heneghan is a new entry in third spot – Per Mertesacker and Michu were his main performers from the previous weekend’s action.

In the Contributors and Moderators league, Andy is back at the top, with his faith in big-money defenders Vertonghen and Leighton Baines proving a wise decision. Big Dunc moves into second after playing his wildcard – the decision to captain Ozil harvested 28 of his 65 points in Gameweek 5.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Nick Whitrid remains in pole position in our Sky Sports league. Having reached the summit last week, he has now moved 22 points ahead of second-placed Leo Reid on 435 points; Nick in joint-sixteenth in the overall standings. In third place in the Scout league is Josie O’Neil, who is four points off Leo on 409 points. The winner of our Sky league, which is top of the league of leagues, wins £1,000. To join, visit Sky Sports Fantasy Football and key in League Name: FFScout, League Code: 8000112.

The Sun Dream Team

Lee Walpole remains at the top of our Sun Dream Team with a score of 431 points – his ploy to load up on six Spurs and three Arsenal players has certainly proven the correct tactic so far. Paul Williams is back in second on 397 points – all 11 of his players are from Tottenham – while John David Nicol takes third spot, with all but two of his players representing the north London duo. To join visit The Sun Dream Team, league name: Fantasy Football Scout, password: ReWOZhn1T1 and PIN: 8061654.

PlayON

Chris Robinson was the winner of PlayON’s £1,000 guaranteed game last weekend. He picked up a haul of £300 thanks to his decision to load up on three of Chelsea’s backline and Leighton Baines, while Stephane Sessegnon, Bacary Sagna and Yohan Cabaye – all highlighted in our picks article last week – ensured Chris was in the money. Tony Biswas earned second spot and a cash prize of £200, while Lionel Payne’s third place finish resulted in a £119 pay-out.

In our exclusive Fantasy Football Scout PlayON £2 game a total of £114 was on the table. Chris Robinson cleaned up here, too, earning £39.74, while Paul Thornden (£26.64) and Jason Turner (£20.16) took second and third spot respectively.

Not too sure on Terry but I suppose Chelsea will keep a good amount of clean sheets over the course of the season.

Brady has a hernia or something. Try Barkley instead.

Not too sure on Oscar, would rather Michu for a bit more.

I would captain Rooney personally, form and good home fixture. Suarez could pay out for you but more of a risk with unknown form away to a team first game after losing their manager but otherwise looks good to go. Don't take any more hits.

It's not boring at all. I'm not saying I'm going to do it, I just think it is a very decent option considering Man U are pretty much guaranteed a cleanie and he is more than capable of assisting or scoring in the game.

I know what you mean mate, the only reason I decided against it is that a CS isn't enough for me. If I captain Evra he needs to get a CS + attacking points to make me happy, and I just don't feel that great about him against WBA. A promoted team might have had me go for him.

Fair enough, not sure how many great chances soldado has had though. Only one that comes to mind was a rebound that hit the woodwork against Norwich. Heck Siggy has scored twice in open play and Soldado....

I'm keeping him. I think he will come good. He is a proven striker, I think it is pretty ridiculous that just because he has gone a few games without getting a goal everyone thinks he's rubbish. They have good fixtures after Chelsea, and the service to him is excellent now. He's absolutely nailed on and the main man. He will start scoring. I think there will be a lot of goals in that match and he could easily be part of them. Plus he's becoming a differential at this rate. I'm very happy to keep him at the mo.

Cheers, everyone knows what pedigree he has but greater strikers have come to clubs and not worked out, take the galaxy of Chelsea strikers that flopped (Shevchenko, Torres etc). The feeling I'm getting is that he's putting in a shift alone by himself but the mids running on behind him are picking up the points. I'll have to watch through some spurs highlights on footytube and get to the bottom of it.

    Migs.. Davis
    Zab.. Vidic.. Enrique.. Chester.. Turner
    Lampard.. Michu.. Brady.. Barkley.. Moses
    Lukaku.. RVP.. Giroud

Who to VICE CAPTAIN this week? RVP is captain, but need reliable back up if he does not play.

    Boruc

    Terry vidic Kompany m dawson

    Ozil ramsey eriksen

    aguero Rooney (c) Sturridge

    Please slate this wildcard:

    Boruc, Davis
    Terry, Nastasic, Wilson, Clyne, Turner
    Ozil, Michu, Ramsey, Brady, Barkley
    Rooney, Aguero, Suarez

Other option has Oscar, Giroud and Sturridge instead of Ramsey, Aguero and Suarez plus 0.7 for the defence.

    Which is better?

It really hinges on Ramsey staying in form though.

I am a bit perplexed, but not terrible vexed like Commodious.

I really don't like spending 9.0 on a Swansea midfielder. Why is Michu such a must as many are making out?

Is Eriksen really 1.2 better than Paulinho? Stats suggest Paulinho is very attacking. I think I many save the cash. After all, Eriksen has played a fair few minutes now and only got 1 assist. Lamela has played less than half his minutes and done that too.

As defenders are getting the BAPS, surely having 1 big one is important. But then again, having one is the difference between Sturridge or Suarez up front, or Ramsey and Michu.

Michu's proven alast season he can bang in goals like a striker and with a run of Southampton (A), Sunderland (H), West Ham (H), Cardiff City (A), Stoke City (H), Fulham (A) coming up I think people are getting him in early because of Walcott, I had planned to get him for this run from before the season.

Michu might be just a swans player,
But other big mids; Lamela, Gerrard, Navas, Mata, Hazard, Cazorla, Walcott, Coutinho, Silva are mostly injured, not playing or playing rubbish.

Michu is fit, on form, good fixtures, proven goal scorer, basically more reliable for his 9m than all of the above

I think the argument is that Swans play quite attacking football and so will presumably score a fair few. The price tag is therefore because people expect him to be scoring the majority of those goals.
