With leagues across Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports and Sun Dream Team there is plenty to catch up on following the international break. We look at those who have excelled during Gameweek 5 and those who are a little richer after having a great week in our PlayON game.

Fantasy Premier League

We have a new entry straight in at top spot in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game. Hemant Gosavi racked up 57 points last weekend, with Chelsea duo Oscar and John Terry both returning double-figure hauls, while Swansea’s Ben Davies and Arsenal’s in-form Aaron Ramsey also produced as Hemant clinched fifth spot in the overall standings, with 378 points so far.

Tarik Alibou sits in second after a Gameweek 5 score of 59. Seven of his players scored five points or more, with Yaya Toure, Per Mertesacker, Ross Barkley and Davies his chief protagonists. Stuart Hartley slips to third despite double-figure hauls from both Michu and Mesut Ozil in midfield, Ed C rockets into fourth in the Scout league after an incredible 82 points last weekend and Hafisi Nazir completes the top five, sitting on 359 points overall. Thanks to the efforts of our featured managers, Fantasy Football Scout remains at the top of the best leagues – the code to join is 1580-1106.

Wasana Busby moves to the top of the Fantasy Football Scout Members league with an overall score of 340 – Barkley, Toure, Terry and Jan Vertonghen all delivered last weekend. Corey Silveira slips to second after a 40-point haul in Gameweek 5, while Ivan Heneghan is a new entry in third spot – Per Mertesacker and Michu were his main performers from the previous weekend’s action.

In the Contributors and Moderators league, Andy is back at the top, with his faith in big-money defenders Vertonghen and Leighton Baines proving a wise decision. Big Dunc moves into second after playing his wildcard – the decision to captain Ozil harvested 28 of his 65 points in Gameweek 5.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Nick Whitrid remains in pole position in our Sky Sports league. Having reached the summit last week, he has now moved 22 points ahead of second-placed Leo Reid on 435 points; Nick in joint-sixteenth in the overall standings. In third place in the Scout league is Josie O’Neil, who is four points off Leo on 409 points. The winner of our Sky league, which is top of the league of leagues, wins £1,000. To join, visit Sky Sports Fantasy Football and key in League Name: FFScout, League Code: 8000112.

The Sun Dream Team

Lee Walpole remains at the top of our Sun Dream Team with a score of 431 points – his ploy to load up on six Spurs and three Arsenal players has certainly proven the correct tactic so far. Paul Williams is back in second on 397 points – all 11 of his players are from Tottenham – while John David Nicol takes third spot, with all but two of his players representing the north London duo. To join visit The Sun Dream Team, league name: Fantasy Football Scout, password: ReWOZhn1T1 and PIN: 8061654.

PlayON

Chris Robinson was the winner of PlayON’s £1,000 guaranteed game last weekend. He picked up a haul of £300 thanks to his decision to load up on three of Chelsea’s backline and Leighton Baines, while Stephane Sessegnon, Bacary Sagna and Yohan Cabaye – all highlighted in our picks article last week – ensured Chris was in the money. Tony Biswas earned second spot and a cash prize of £200, while Lionel Payne’s third place finish resulted in a £119 pay-out.

In our exclusive Fantasy Football Scout PlayON £2 game a total of £114 was on the table. Chris Robinson cleaned up here, too, earning £39.74, while Paul Thornden (£26.64) and Jason Turner (£20.16) took second and third spot respectively.

I just cannot make my mind up between Rooners and Suarez.

    Both have decent fixtures
Both appear in form (bearing in mind Suarez's first game against a good team)
    Both are a card risk
    Rooney could be rested
Both cheaper than Aguero (rotation risk)

    What's the general consensus?

Is anyone here on Boards.ie? I was just reading through they're Fantasy Football threads (didn't even know there was one).

They all seem worried that Rooney might be rested.

I don't see any such worry here though? Is it just somebody scaremongering on there and everyone has listened?

I have been on the forum but not the fantasy football ones. I would trust this place more than there.

Also man united forums are a great source I use regularly.

Personally think rvp has an outside chance of playing so will be rested/on the bench v west brom. Moyes can't afford to have both rooney/rvp missing so rooney will start.

Expect to see rvp v shakhtar with rooney possibly benched due to tactical switch away in cl or rooney playing deeper role there.

In league cup v norwich we will see hernandez and welbeck. RVP maybe if he needs sharpness at that stage

Stupid to go without Arsenal players while on WC. I plan on getting Walcott once he comes back and I feel they didn't perform well without him last weekend. 3 goals from set pieces. Fluke

    Sheeeeeee-it... I can't sleep.

    Partner, I need some advise

I've used my Free Transfer already, and my team is currently...

    Boruc

Collins (hul), Coleman (NEW), Shaw (CRY)

Michu (ARS), Barkley (NEW), Brady (WHM), Ben Arfa (eve)

RVP (WBA), Sturrdidge (sun), Giroud (swa)

Subs: Toure (sun), Walcott (OUT), Whittaker (NOT PLAYING)

My dilemma is, should I take a 4 point hit for RVP to Rooney????

    My thinking is FOR:
    - Team value - RVP is likely to go down by end of the window, Rooney up 0.1
    - Free up funds - for next week to improve my defence
    - If RVP doesnt play, I have a full team without calling on Toure

    My thinking AGAINST:
    - Points hit - i don't like them
    - I'm pretty sure I can field a team of 11, and am happy with their fixtures so long as RVP plays

    Advise much appreciated.

Wait on RVP. If there's a high chance of him not playing, probs worth the hit.
Rooney's expected points this week is greater than 4. And like you said, there's the 0.1 here and there.

If RVP is playing, then obviously it'd be a bad move. Problem is we won't for sure, but like I said, wait for more info tomoz.

        Any particular reason???

I've gotta say, it's tempting... but he's hit 260pts per season for 2 seasons running... captain him for a full season and you get over 500pts... that's why he's 14m, for captain choice.

You've got not idea what'll happen to Ozil. High chance he won't blank.

        Ozil > Erikson
Oscar > Lampard (but only coz I think Lamps is a slight rotation risk)
Dawson > Turner (but I'd look for someone instead of Dawson. Could easily lose his spot soon. There are plenty of options at his price range).

I would go for B given only the info above. But I do think Ozil will continue to shine and you should try get him in. I'm also without Ozil for now and not liking it one bit.

Berba and Lambert are better options at the moment I think.

Both on pens, both hitting awesome run of fixtures.

Whereas, Lukaku is not nailed on yet, started in the cup, which means he's more than likely to be rested, and was a sub last weekend.

    Right.....

    Overnight......

    1. Is Benteke gonna go down in price?
    2. Is Suarez gonna go up?

I think it's NO and NO from looking at TotalFPL but I'm still learning how this all works.

If so, I can go to bed and stop worrying!!

Is Suarez a doubt for Sunday? I've heard he might be benched but can't figure out why.

    Are these rumours true?

I glanced upon it on totalfpl when i was checking prices. Iv'e captained him this week so hoping it's false

Suarez won't ever get benched unless there's an injury.

Does anyone know if the Breaking Bad finale is just normal length or is it longer than usual? (Please say it is longer)

If I put Terry, Kolarov and Vidic in my WC I'm going to potentially be at the mercy of rotation every GW aren't I?
