Back after a five-week break, Granville and I have squeezed in two holidays, two wildcards, an engagement (certainly not to each other), a dose of man flu and a near-on leg amputation. Packed, I tell thee.

The other highlight has been the steady and consistent decline of my Fantasy season, giving my co-host Granville plenty of ammunition. Reclined in his armchair, leg braced like James Stewart, the stricken Mancunian leaves his Rear Window to investigate the brutal murder of my fantasy team.

Once the taunting dies down, we manage to tackle the old regulars: bandwagons are assessed, the weekend is previewed and the ScoutCast team gets some love on its way to outscoring my lineup for a fifth week running. Sigh.

Hobble our way via this link, or cast you ears in our direction via the player below:

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Which 2 to play out of these 4?

    Wilson (ful)
    Fonte (SWA)
    Coleman (mci)
    Barkley (mci)

Leaning towards leaving the toffees on the bench

I'd play Barkley. Yes, City are much more impressive at home, but in-form midfielders have to play over defenders.
      I'd play Barkley and Wilson.

Could be a choice between 1/2 points though in all honesty. Don't think either will keep a CS unless both Eve and Mcy undergo tremendous change in fortune.

have to say Nasty probably is the safer choice. Burner could be a flair move.

I was worried about this before but I'm still stuck with three. For me Lukaku is near essential of the 4. Cheap and will bring in the bacon. Coleman at 5 million was a steal I think but is replaceable. Baines is Baines. At the end of the day I would probably drop Barkley but for 5mil there probably isn't a better cheap mid out there at the mo. Brady is good, but I think Barkely is better.

Frankly they offer great value and I'm keeping my three for now.

I have Barks/ Coleman and Lukaku and am a bit concerned. This week I'm playing Lukaku only unless Barks comes 1st off the bench.
They are in form and a case can be made that they are each worthwhile in their respective positions over other players.
Until that changes I'll keep and see how long it lasts.

Where does Eriksen stand? He's at that awkward price where he's not really a 'big hitter' nor a 'mid-priced' mid. 😕

Lampard also falls into this category.

          True that. Like to think

😳 My text got deleted. Meant to say

            Less than 5.5 = budget
            5.5 - 8.0 = mid-priced
            Greater than 8.0 = high

Ya I guess... but I'd put it:

              4.5 - 6 = budget
              6.5 - 8.0= mid-priced
              8.5+ = big hitter

Nice and simple. Will read soon, phone very slow so can't open two tabs. Do you rate Siggy lower partly due to nailed on ness? Assuming nailed on I think he offers the best goal & assist threat of the &.)s as he's got a notoriously good shot, proven goal machine pedigree two seasons ago and the best position. Never had such creative players like Eriksen to create and Soldado seems to be doing the hard work to set him up. If anything a greater goal threat than Soldado.

Looks like people are writing off the City defense this weekend.

They played the best team in Europe midweek and were bound to concede. Against Villa they conceded via one superb free kick, one offside goal and one defensive error.

City have been the best defense in the league for sometime now and expect a resolute performance at home from them this weekend.

I think the main reason why ppl are expecting everton to score is more to do with the way everton is playing. Could be a clean sheet tho. They have been the best defense but they are shaky atm. Zabaleta clichy nastasic kolorov and richards have not been at there best.

    Heres my team.

    Migs
    dawson vidic ZABALETA or SHAW
    ramsay erikson moses ozil
    suarez rooney lukaku

bench: Boruc, ZAB or SHAW, barkley, coleman

    A) do I play zab or shaw?(save FT)
    B) play both and bench someone else? Who?(save FT)
    C) transfer zab out for walker(yep double up on spurs) and then following week or so plan to swap dawson over to a swans player.

very tempted by C. Any suggestions?

Once an obvious heavy hitter comes into action ill downgrade someone and have abit of a weaker bench.. but atm happy with rotating afew players until then.

I think I will save my FT and play zab... really want walker tho but might just have to forget about him. Dawsons fine hey?

I should have gotten Terry on wildcard, for sure. Instead of baines probably. I didnt get him because ENR talked me out of it. that and I'm dumb.

why not Dawson? when I wildcarded, kaboul was healthy. I still think Chriches will take starts off dawson, and when kaboul was healthy, then it became a 3 way fight for the spot. I wanted a nailed on spurs guy so walker it was.

I want to do it this week: but 2 FTs next week seem too good and my team is just fine for this week.

Tentatively, my plan is to get Terry in for Baines next week, yes. then use the money to either go Arnie>Ramsey or upgrade somebody else. Maybe rooney>Suarez if the biter becomes essential.

Yeah agreed...similar thinking here. Gunna leave it a week and see how it pans out. Probably ship Nastasic (City look horrid) and maybe downgrade Eriksen..

BTW what are your thoughts on Eriksen (since you're a Spurs fan). Worth the cash over Paulinho/ Siggy?

What order would you put them from an FPL perspective?

I actually think City should level out.

Eriksen > Paulinho > siggy, in my opinion.

yes, siggy is in good form. No, he is not going to keep his starting spot. Lamela will push him out. Paulinho and Eriksen are first choice, though, which is why I value them more.

I dont currently want any spurs midfielder, but if I had to pick one, its eriksen. If spurs even get firing offensively, he will be involved.
