Back after a five-week break, Granville and I have squeezed in two holidays, two wildcards, an engagement (certainly not to each other), a dose of man flu and a near-on leg amputation. Packed, I tell thee.

The other highlight has been the steady and consistent decline of my Fantasy season, giving my co-host Granville plenty of ammunition. Reclined in his armchair, leg braced like James Stewart, the stricken Mancunian leaves his Rear Window to investigate the brutal murder of my fantasy team.

Once the taunting dies down, we manage to tackle the old regulars: bandwagons are assessed, the weekend is previewed and the ScoutCast team gets some love on its way to outscoring my lineup for a fifth week running. Sigh.

Hobble our way via this link, or cast you ears in our direction via the player below:

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Hate to do it, but I could use some advice on who to bench out of this lot.

    Barkley, Coleman v Man City
    Wilson, Arnie v Fulham
    Turner

Need to bench 3 and I can't decide. I'd hate to leave Barkley and Coleman on the bench to be replaced by these. Also Turner is not the no brainer people seem to be making him out to be. I really think Newcastle will score. Any advice welcome.

Why don't you downgrade further and free up money for elsewhere? If you're going West Brom (beware the fixtures) you might as well go Amalfitano because of price. Other players in that 5m range like Whittingham and Barkley too.

I can up to a max of 6.2 so thats up to terry , Enrique or Walker. My preference though is to a cheapie if possible which eg Dawson or Toure. Which team and which defender should i go for? I do, yes. He's the captain. I think AVB likes his typically English style and he's basically part of the furniture at WHL. It's a cliché but you need those sorts of players in a side. Chiriches also looked a bit shaky tonight, don't think he's a threat for the forseeable future.

Both Sol and Suarez have pretty sweet fixtures but Sol's form is concerning.

What would your advise be if I said I rate Studge over Suarez as a long term option?

That second half was hardly HBA's fault. Santon, Anita, Sissoko were the main players at fault, HBA as well defensively but it really was a combination of several players.

1--play either Coleman or Barkley vs ManCty away--no hit
2--drop for -4 Coleman for Terry and play terry vs Nor away --expecting terry to mayb have a clean sheet, asist etc to compensate the -4 hit (barkley 1st in bench)

Yeah I think best case scenario he comes on the the late cameo. Although he can score you points in that role. But going forward maybe taking the hit now for Barkley is still better over the next few weeks, even if it doesn't pay off this week.

Aspas is not going to start regularly - moses and henderson are defiitely ahead of him. however, i would epect only 1 of moses or henderson to start at the same time depending on it being an away/home fixture. this week they may both start but beyond that it's unlikely.

Well Kaboom got injured in Europa again and so technically, the only threat comes from Chi Chi at the moment.

But think about it. Why would AVB want to mess around with a rock solid defence especially removing the captain? Wouldn't until they're conceding lots of goals again and losing too many games for his liking. If that happens, we wouldn't want a Spurs defender anyways.

Thats my take on this. Dawson = superb value at 5.1

i agree, at 5.1 it's an absolute steal. i'd be surprised if AVB changed such a solid defence until it starts performing poorly. On that note, i do have the extra to afford walker, is he worth an extra 0.9? for me he seems to attack a lot without end product but did get 6 assists last year. what do you think?

Simply put, walker is prolly worth the extra 0.9

But it all depends on what you plan to do with the extra 0.9. For me, it was the difference between not being able to afford Walc or Mata to upgrade HBA next week.

yeah atm i cant see much use for using the other 0.9 but i just feel that it will come back to bite me if i use it on a defender. value is key in this game. dawson at 5.1 is mightly tempting, they will be solid throughout the season. im assuming walker is off setpieces now

So Coleman is 2m cheaper than Baines and Dawson is 2m cheaper than Vertonghen...

I don't think it is. Especially not at the beginning of a season when trying to build TV. They cost so much they barely move up or down so gains are less dramatic.
When value is attained across the whole team and you have an extra million or two to spread then they can be locked at as opposed to expensive mids points.
          Just my opinion.
