With leagues across the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports, Sun Dream Team and Champions League games, we have plenty to analyse before tomorrow’s deadlines. We also look at those who are a little richer after having a great week in our PlayON game and offers a head-up for the first Fantasy Football Scout Cup competition of the season.

Fantasy Premier League

Cavan McDonald is the brand new leader in this week’s Scout League thanks to a 78-point haul in Gameweek 10. Captain Sergio Aguero played a significant part, with 36 points, while Aaron Ramsey and a couple of the West Brom backline all came up trumps. Cavan moved to 26th in the overall standings – he has accrued 694 points so far.

In second spot is former leader Hemant Gosavi. He rises back up the rankings courtesy of a 75-point Gameweek – captain Aguero, David Silva, Ramsey, Pablo Zabaleta and United’s youngster Adnan Januzaj were amongst his main protagonists as Hemant moved to 684 points overall.

Luke Weston takes a major jump up the leaderboard to third after picking up 90 points. Captain Aguero, Wayne Rooney, Silva and Ramsey all delivered as Luke moved up to 82nd spot in the overall rankings. George Jack is a new entry to the Scout League in fourth. Again, he captained Aguero and had Ramsey in the ranks, while Jan Vertonghen and Yaya Toure also helped him to a 79 point Gameweek. Veronika Solymosi completes the top five after scoring 82 points last weekend – a total of 675 points is 145th overall. The code to join up is 1580-1106.

In the Fantasy Football Scout members league, Angga Haqqu climbs to pole position as a result of a 76-point Gameweek – captain Aguero, Ramsey, Yaya Toure and Michael Dawson all produced. Former leader Wasana Busby slips to second, just three points behind on 658 points, after handing Rooney the armband. Andrew Childerhouse climbs into the top three after an 83-point haul at the weekend; captain Aguero, Silva and Mesut Ozil were key, while Andrew also picked up four clean sheets at the back.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Ben Broadhurst keeps his spot at the summit yet again. He’s currently running away from the chasing pack on 835 points – that’s a full 77 points ahead of his nearest challenger, Garry Wheeler, while Thomas Daines is a further three points behind Garry on 755 points. Ben’s superb run of form over the last few weeks means he is now joint-top of the overall standings. The winner of our Sky league, which has climbed back to top spot in the league of leagues, wins £1,000. To join, visit Sky Sports Fantasy Football and key in League Name: FFScout, League Code: 8000112.

Sun Dream Team

Gary Sullivan is the new leader in the Scout League on a total of 679 points, thanks to a team comprised of six Arsenal and three Man City players. Geoff Pryor sits in second spot, 18 points behind Gary, while Nigel Dodds makes his way up to third position, with a combined eight players from north London pair Arsenal and Spurs doing the business. To join visit The Sun Dream Team, league name: Fantasy Football Scout, password: ReWOZhn1T1 and PIN: 8061654.

Champions League

Diegocho33 remains at the top after the completion of Matchday 4 last night. He racked up 75 points over Tuesday and Wednesday’s matches, with a front three of Diego Costa, Sergio Aguero and Zlatan Ibrahimovic all amongst the goals – Diegocho33 sits on 377 points and is the overall number one with two sets of group matches remaining.

GDBarclay is also a non-mover in second spot. He managed 59 points last time around but slipped in the overall pecking order – down to 16th, on 359 points. Ahmed Tarek climbs into the top three after an 80-point haul; his decision to captain Sergio Aguero and back the Bayern backline helped him move to 24th spot, on 357 points.

PlayON

David Burraway finished top of the pile in PlayON’s exclusive Fantasy Football Scout £2 game last time around. His decision to load up on eight Man City players for the 7-0 home win over Norwich was inspired and earned him £51.34. Phil Ampleford took home £34.41 in second spot, while Andrew Foskett walked away with £26.04 in third spot.

Fantasy Football Scout Cup

He`s Benteke. The rest of the players at Aston Villa know how to pass the ball to him too, you know. Crossbar and a couple of huge chances at the weekend without them, so it`s not like he`s useless without them

He can. But they have Arsenal and Spurs, and they need a win in the CL to move on. I think i`d just rather have Benteke + Oscar than Rooney and like, a 5ish mid.

Well I'm stuck with him and I've made my transfer.

Maybe I'll cut Giroud instead, he's a classic homie striker.

        Cheers

    Oscar V Hazard: The Answer?

    (Update post Champions League)

So, for a few weeks now I have found myself torn between these two players. Both playing for a team capable of scoring for fun and who are now embarking on a run of winnable games. Both 9.1m in the game. Combine this with an injury to similarly priced Michu and you have yourself a veritable fantasy quandary.

Looking at the FPL basics, you have a fairly similar output: Oscar slightly edges this.
Although he has played slightly fewer minutes on average than Hazard, Oscar has racked up more of what counts.

    This season:
    .......................Av/Mins.......Goals......Assists......Points........................
    Oscar................77.................4..............0..............50...........................
    Hazard..............79..................3.............2..............47...........................

Looking at the several statistical analysis: Again, Oscar edges this.
It could suggest that Oscar is less selfish than Hazard and is therefore being rewarded under the new BPL system (key passes, crosses, etc). This would bode well for future bonus allocation.

    .......................EA PPI.......BPS......Bonus.............
    Oscar................193............56..........10................
    Hazard..............206............50...........5...............

A glance at their performances in Europe: Oscar again.
He edges this, playing more minutes and starting more games. Hazard was on the other end of some Mourinho justice last night, so this affects his average minutes. But with Oscar playing 83 minutes could this mean he has more chance of being rotated in the FPL though?

.......................Av/Mins.......Goals......Assists......Points (If in FPL/ No bonus)......
    Oscar................84.................1...............2.........................23.........................
    Hazard..............46.................1...............0.........................11.........................

Finally on international duty: Oscar once more beats out Hazard, more convincingly too.
Is he played in more complimentary position for his international side or is he more in tune with his fellow countrymen? (It is worth noting though, that in Oscar's 6 previous games to those mentioned, he failed to score a goal in any game despite playing over 60 minutes in most of them).

...............................Av/Mins.......Goals......Assists......Points (If in FPL/ No bonus)......
    Oscar (BRAZIL)...........47..............2..............0............................14.........................
    Hazard(BELGIUM).......61..............0..............0.............................3.........................

While this is by no means the final say in the issue, it has certainly highlighted the consistency of Oscar this season. It could be argued that when Lampard is off the field, Hazard become the main penalty taker, which would certainly swing things in his favour. We all know how destructive Hazard can be in FPL terms as last season can attest (not to mention his 18 points a few weeks back) but this season has seen him slightly off the pace. Oscar however, has shown his capability of consistently scoring (albeit hypothetical) points in every level he plays this season.

Is Oscar going through a purple patch (Ramsey-esque to a lesser degree) and in the midst of some form or is he finally ready to repay Mourinho for his faith in him?

Oscar over Hazard for me. Hope this helps anyone who finds themselves at a similar impasse.

Stats mean nothing. In reality it's too close to call. One can outscore the other on his given day.

Well, good work. But to be fair, I rather like to read into stats such as Shots on Goal, and the positions from where those shots were taken, Key passes in the game etc. If you look at those stats, Hazard is the clear winner. Hazard for me, at least if you base it statisitically.
