We roll out the final part of our weekly refresh this afternoon. Having previously cast an eye over the The Defence and the The Midfield, it’s time for our assessment of the men up front over the next four-to-six Gameweeks – Liverpool’s front two remain at the forefront of our thinking, with the fixtures still firmly in the Reds’ favour:

Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge continue to lead the way despite both drawing blanks at the Emirates last Saturday. While there remains doubts over Liverpool’s formation, Brendan Rodgers seems intent on retaining a front two, whether it be 3-4-1-2 or 4-4-2, and with Philippe Coutinho back to supply further creativity, Suarez and Sturridge owners will be anticipating plenty of attacking returns from a schedule that seem them entertain Fulham, Norwich and West Ham in the next five, with a trip to Hull also on their agenda.

Sergio Aguero is perhaps a little unlucky to remain in third spot, although today’s news of the injury to David Silva perhaps dents his stock a little. The City forward leapt to the top of the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) standings after an 18-point haul last time around and is second only to Suarez in terms of points per game this term, with 9.1 to the Uruguayan’s 9.6. As Manuel Pellegrini’s side start to click, Aguero is clearly the focal point up top and has now produced seven goals and five assists in his last five appearances – trips to Sunderland, West Brom and Southampton, allied with home games against Spurs and Swansea look set to serve up further attacking returns.

The consistency of Wayne Rooney ensures he keeps his place ahead of Robin Van Persie in this week’s shake-up. With a goal or assist in six of the last seven, Rooney is proving a more than adequate alternative to the Dutchman as a route into United’s attack – granted, Van Persie has now notched in each of the last three but Rooney, at a full 3.0 cheaper, is far more budget-friendly. With Arsenal, Spurs and Everton in the next four, though, David Moyes’ side have a tough looking schedule on the horizon.

Villa’s Christian Benteke has the fixtures to flourish but, unlike Rooney, is struggling for any semblance of form. The big Belgian has failed to score in any of the three appearances since returning from injury and with Gabby Agbonlahor and Andreas Weimann looking doubtful for this weekend, his supply line up top could be diminished. Nonetheless, with home games against Cardiff and Sunderland, allied with trips to West Brom and Fulham in the next five, he could be poised for a return to the displays that harvested four goals in the first four Gameweeks and is now down to 8.8.

The upcoming schedule is somewhat mixed for Romelu Lukaku. Games against Palace, Stoke and Fulham in the next six will afford his owners plenty optimism as he looks to build on his record of five goals in six games for Everton – Roberto Martinez’ side also face Liverpool, Arsenal and United over that period, though, suggesting Lukaku may struggle to retain his consistency.

Trips to United and City in the next six looks testing for Olivier Giroud. These two visits to Manchester bookend a run of three home games in four, though with two of the visitors Southampton and Everton, the Gunners lone forward will need to step up the form which has produced just a single goal in the last six. Elsewhere in north London, Roberto Soldado has City, United and Liverpool in the next six but having played a part in six of his side’s nine goals so far, the Spaniard remains the man most likely to produce for Andre Villas-Boas’ side.

A move to a front two has boosted Loic Remy’s appeal. Previously fielded on the left of a front three, the Frenchman’s shift to the centre helped him grab a sixth goal of the season against Chelsea on Saturday – home games against Norwich and West Brom and a trip to Swansea in the next four could benefit the 7.7 priced Magpies man further, with the likes of Papiss Cisse and Hatem Ben Arfa drifting further onto the periphery under Alan Pardew.

Somebody tell me my team will do well. I need reassurance

    Boruc
    Shaw Ivan Williams
    Paulinho Yaya Rambo Schurrle
    Benteke Suarez (c) Giroud

    Bench: Marshall Evra Wilson Whitingham

Who to play Evra or Giroud? I think Arsenal will score so Giroud should start I guess.

Schurrle was a punt that I hope pays off. F Hazard

Paulinho gone if he blanks this week.

yeah sounds good to me, snodgrass has zero form (arguably minus form with that pen miss too!) but for the same reason i dont think hughton should be sacked right now i can see snodgrass doing alright over the next couple of months. lukaku a fine place-holder for aguero

Leicester was very strange, I got very annoyed at everyone booing at half time, not really sure how that would have helped. Defence is still a massive problem (as it's been for ages I guess), but had we taken our chances we could have come away with a draw on Saturday I reckon. So disappointed with Deeney so far though, he needs to be dropped imo

i hate booing, it's a football match not a play, and it's so so much better still than 5 years ago for example.
yeah team is deeney reliant and he's not producing lately. last season when vydra went quiet deeney stepped up and visa versa which was nice.
i dont mind the defence too much, it's just when he brings in belkalem is a wide back 3 role, he's so clearly not agile enough for it. as above to be struggling thois much and still be 7th, 1 point from 5th i think is not a bad thing.

ITWT, I think he's got the chance to bloom behind the striker whether it's 4-4-2 Or 3-5-2.

The question is; will he return to form and if so when?
I can tell you he certainly didn't play well last saturday, his stats may have been good because Arsenal eased off the gas and Liverpool had nothing else, arsenal were putting less pressure on and the lfc boys were keen to feed anyone the ball. - I just wouldn't rely on those statistics is all, I was watching him with an fpl eye as I wanted an expensive mid this week, but he just wasn't himself.

Against Fulham though, let's hope he wakes up! 🙂

Haha yeah but SWA, whu, AVL for Stek compared to ars, che, MCI for Boruc. This is what I was looking at a few weeks ago when I brought in Stek with my WC..Didn't expect the defense to take a nose dive like that 🙁

I'l be playing Boruc through the tough fixtures. With save points now, it probably won't be too bad.

Myhill is good for a rotation option with Boruc during his tough fixtures

Very true. I didn't want to get Myhill because Foster was expected back earlier. Costly mistake that was. But you're right, WBA has the best sub 5.0 mil GK rotation with Boruc

Yeah if Myhill is guaranteed to start gw15 against NOR, I would probably do Stek-->Myhill. I could see Myhill scoring 4 or more points more than Stek during that trio of fixtures

Vorm, here's hoping that Tremmel doesn't save a penalty and pull a Begovic vs Stoke

Who even takes penalties for Stoke, if Walters is back in, then it's going to be a Tremmel penalty save for sure

Hi guys - sadly transferred out Silva for Nasri - was hoping to do two defenders next week for free but plans now scuppered! Do you think Newcastle will score at Spurs this week? I'm benching Dawson with that in mind.

OK, now I've got to use my FT.

    Silva > ????

Obvious options are Oscar or Hazard. Anyone else? Rest of the mid are Ramsey, Townsend, Ozil, Morrison.

I've just done Nasri but I have Ramsey and Oscar anyway. In your position I would probably go for Oscar

Aqua. What do you think, offload Silva for -4 (probably to Nasri) or keep him and field Januzaj for no hit?

Thanks. Thinking the same. Although transfers are fun and Nasri is rising. Will probably play Adnan though.

I would have gone full casual but Yaya was 0.1 too much for me.

Now I have Silva, a -4, and only 1 fit sub.

The trouble with that one is that you've got to play for a few differentials - If you've got Yaya and Ramsey and I guess maybe Oscar or Ozil then that transfer won't win you brownie points!

Another 60,643 jumping on the Ramsey bandwagon this week.
Suarez 50,518 for 23.9% ownership. Somehow I thought it was higher.

My transfers this week worth 8 points:
    Michu -> Silva -> Hazard

For this to be a success Hazard has to score 8 points more than Koscielny, somehow I doubt it!

never take an 8 pt hit. Surely someone on your bench can do well enough to get you through the week without transferring out Silva
