We roll out the third, and final, instalment of our player recommendations for the next four to six Gameweeks this evening. Having run the rule over the Defence and Midfield, we cast our analytical eye over the options up top – unsurprisingly, a pair of in-form South Americans prove immovable objects:

Luis Suarez retains his place at the top of this week’s refresh after plundering the points in last week’s Merseyside derby. Seven games into his comeback from suspension, the Liverpool forward has failed to deliver the points just once, averaging an incredible 10.4 points per game in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL). With a trip to Hull and three Anfield appearances in the following four (NOR, WHM, CAR), many will be tempted to hand the Uruguayan the armband for the foreseeable future as his irresistible form shows little sign of letting up.

Daniel Sturridge drops down after being omitted from the Reds’ XI for first time last weekend. Granted, he emerged from the bench to head a late equaliser, but given Brendan Rodgers is clearly prepared to protect his ongoing leg problem, Sturridge’s appeal has been somewhat dented as Suarez continues to outgun him.

Sergio Aguero sits just behind his fellow South American in second spot after racking up a fifth set of double figures in ten starts last weekend. With Manuel Pellegrini prepared to go on the offensive, Aguero’s star continues to rise – a home game with Swansea looks like yet another chance to produce the goods, while the visit of Arsenal and Liverpool will hold little fear for a player who has averaged over 11 points per game at the Etihad. With trips to Fulham and West Brom also on the agenda, Aguero and side-kick Alvaro Negredo look set to maintain their superb recent form – at 9.1 to Aguero’s 12.2, the latter offers a kinder route into City’s attack and has scored or assisted in each of his last five home appearances.

Over in the red corner of Manchester, United also supply us with a couple of contenders. Wayne Rooney leads the way, with Robin Van Persie still a doubt as a result of an ongoing groin problem. Rooney has three sets of double figures in the last four and has now scored or assisted in nine of his 11 league appearances under David Moyes, with four assists in the Champions League rout at Leverkusen highlighting his current level of confidence. Van Persie, nonetheless, has still impressed in his last few outings – the Dutchman netted in each of his previous four league appearances and, if he can prove his fitness, could well be poised to take advantage of a run which hands him three home games (EVE, NEW, WHM) and trips to Villa and Hull after Sunday’s visit to the Lane.

Few frontmen can boast a better record than Newcastle’s Loic Remy in recent matches. The on-loan Frenchman has now netted eight times in the last eight Gameweeks and, with home games against West Brom, Southampton and Stoke, in addition to trips to Swansea and Palace, the 8.1-priced Remy continues to look outstanding value for those Fantasy managers unwilling to load up on three big-hitters up top.

A brace against Southampton brought Olivier Giroud back onto Fantasy radars. Granted, his goals were somewhat fortuitous – the first came courtesy of an Artur Boruc error, whilst he was handed the chance to notch from the spot after first and second choice takers Mikel Arteta and Mesut Ozil were withdrawn late on. While Arsene Wenger has hinted at rotation over the next three matches ahead of the final Champions League match against Napoli, Giroud surely looks exempt as the Gunners travel to Cardiff before facing back-to-back home games with Hull and Everton.

Seven goals and an assist in eight appearances for Everton sum up the impact of Romelu Lukaku. After notching in one of the previous four, the big Belgian was back with a bang when it mattered most – putting two past Liverpool in the Merseyside derby and serving up a 13-point haul for his Fantasy owners. Up next is a home game with Stoke and, whilst trips to Arsenal and United look tricky, he’ll hold little fear, having also scored against the likes of City this term. From Gameweek 16, his following four (FUL, swa, SUN, SOU) suggest a price hike will be on the cards for Lukaku, who currently sets you back 7.9 in FPL.

Christian Benteke has now gone five games without a goal since returning from injury but with a home game against Sunderland up next, his owners will be hopeful of a return to form. With Gabby Agbonlahor and Andreas Weimann climbing off the bench against West Brom to signal their return from injury, Benteke looks set to line up in his favoured 4-3-3 against the travel-sick Black Cats and with games against Fulham, Palace and Stoke also on his agenda over the next six, there’s every chance he’ll rediscover his scoring touch before long.

Yep, depends a bit if you've made transfers already, and if you can field any subs otherwise. To be honest yes I might well be tempted.

For example I wasn't going to take a hit this week, but now with the Countinho news i might well do and shift Brady for someone more guaranteed gametime (a move i was planning anyway).

I wonder if some of BR's "inspired" transfers are beginning to show their downside. Studge has been huge but the injuries are mounting. Coutinho, who came with a warning of being a bit slight and possibly an injury liability is starting to pick up a few knocks. Sakho is crap. Moses ditto. Aspas dittitto. Allen I won't even suffer to talk about. I am genuinely interested by Ilori as a prospect. Toure... I don't actually know, I'd put it in the win column. Migs... I suppose I was a fan of Reina so I saw it as a sideways transfer but I can accept it as a good purchase.

Am I being too harsh here? I've never been particularly impressed by his transfers despite liking the guy as a manager.

A long time but just not when he's played well for us? He was PSG captain from ridiculously young and they were very reluctant to sell actually, just had brilliant defenders in front of him so let him leave to get games.

I've watched most of Pools games this season. However I do not believe for 18 million quid has he given that much an improvement. Perhaps with time. And as for being reluctant to sell him, was that before or after he was stripped of his captaincy for poor displays throughout the March and April of last year and benched? Or was it after he came on and single-handedly lost them the game to Lyon?

Nice bit of Wikipedia reading there to prove how much u have watched him, u meant against Lille tho, right? Obviously hes had his issues but he has the talent and has maybe grown up since his issues at PSG. Either way to call him after the limited games he's play, quite a few of which have been good performances is just stupid.

If I was reading Wikipedia I would have seen that I made a mistake and it was indeed against Lille. I have actually been running on memory of last season, I used to follow Lyon quite a lot so was aware of some of the bigger teams and the goings on. But yes, you are right it was Lille. What I definitely recall was him being utterly crap and being benched for a while. However I was also pointing out this whole reluctance that they had to sell him was really not evident to me. If they had bought him for a few million I wouldn't be harsh but for 18 million pounds? Sorry but I would expect more. Fair enough he deserves more time, I will gladly accept that I've been wrong when I see the 18 million pounds worth. It is Ilori who I was more interested in as a buy.

Pretty sure ive read quotes/articles etc suggesting they were but I wouldn't say that's really the issue, yes it is a lot of money, he may not be worth it but I'd say anyone deserves longer than he's had, especially after a few decent games. Do U write Lamela off already at £30m? Would be silly too. Plus players fortunates alter at different clubs for better or worse, he may flourish under us, he should be given time to IMO.

My issue really is the price. That is a huge some of money and I wouldn't want it to be wasted on "potential" that never comes to fruition. But I can concede when I am being harsh and I do accept he deserves more time, I've yet to change my thinking to him as a good but though. Lamela is a fair argument but one could argue that Lamela was at his height when he transferred, Sakho wasn't. That said, 30 million for Lamela I do not necessarily agree with. He was great at Roma for one season, I don't think that warrants that price tag...

        Wouldn't disagree about Toure anyways.

Sturridge as I said has been great for them but will he ever get over these consistent injury problems?

Coutinho I have some doubts over myself, been a long time follower back when he was the next Ronaldinho.

Moses I just don't see as a good one really but I can concede he does offer something.

Sakho may well improve of course but as of now I've not been impressed, you make a fair point.

What? Sakho 'crap'? Silly. Moses is decent. And signing Sturridge and Coutinho was bad cos they could get injured? Bit silly. Mignolet has been better than last 2 years Reina so he's been a good signing for them. Plus he sold Andy Carroll to WH for a fairly big wedge and look what's happened to him. I think Allen has been his biggest blunder.

Yet to see much. Moses is okay. Not could, will get injured. Consistently. Especially Studge. Coutinho is more likely to have dips in form.

As I said nothing against BR, I like his system mostly. Merely pointing out some issues in his policy.

Yes I think you're being way too harsh. I think Sturridge, Coutinho, Sakho, Toure and Migs are all very good signings. There is a budget. You can't expect him to be able to buy perfect world class players with no weaknesses

I may well be, for different reasons though.

Studge and Coutinho are not bad players just at risk of injury (Studge) and drops in form (Coutinho).

Toure on a free was grand. Sakho, for what they paid, I do not think is worth it. Migs is grand too but I don't believe he offers a real significant benefit over Reina who BR royally f**ked over.

Sturridge has missed one or two games. - good signing.
Coutinho is young and shows lovely flashes, little bit of bulk and more experience and he'll be very good. Don't actually think Silva was much better than him at that age.
      Sakho isn't crap.
Moses is alright - on loan too.
      Aspas seems meh.
Allen - haven't seen enough to judge.
Toure was a good free signing.
      Migs was a good signing.

Sahin on loan too. Borini as well which I forgot.

Studge I have 0 against I am merely saying I think his injury issues are not going to get any better. Coutinho, as I said above, I have other questions over.

Could easily point out all the faults in any teams signings over a given period. BR has got more right than wrong and has Liverpool playing great footy consistently.

Jaysis not saying anything about the style I am merely questioning some choices. Overall I do not see the "more right than wrong" I feel it's the opposite. He has made good ones and plenty of bad ones. It just seems to never be mentioned so I brought it up.

    Got Suarez, Sturridge, Aguero.

    With

    A. Rooney
    B. Remy
    C. Lukaka
    D. Giroud

All hitting form who should I replace Sturridge with? Rooney seems to have the better fixtures and has the potential of bigger hauls. Which one please? Or should I

    E. Sturridge - keep despite rumours of ankles ligaments done in training today.

So we are here thinking about us for once.

The family can be put on the back burner.

Because If I am no longer here how can I justify my love.

I will not apologize for my attention seeking loneliness only a care that I have embraced our cause called Movember. For all that it does is embrace the love of our family and us, that we take responsibility for our own health.

Somebody posted recently about Gary Speed and the importance to recognize mental health issues. I put that forward as the post of the year because it was.

I congratulate all that also recognise Movember and wish I had done more.
