An all-London affair at the Emirates brings the curtain down on Gameweek 17 this evening. Plenty of Fantasy favourites are on show as the Gunners look for the win that would extend their lead to four points over the chasing pack:

For the hosts, Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil are the main protagonists for Fantasy managers, whilst Theo Walcott will be looking to maintain the form that saw him score twice at the Etihad last weekend.

Jose Mourinho’s side roll up on the back of a poor form of form on the road. The Blues have been beaten in three of their last four away games in all competitions but know that a victory will draw them level with the Gunners on 36 points. Eden Hazard will be desperate to have his say before Fantasy managers turn our attentions to the Gameweek 18 fixtures on Boxing Day.

The team news sees the hosts make four changes from the side that lost 6-3 at City last time around. Kieran Gibbs and Thomas Vermaelen are drafted in for Nacho Monreal and Laurent Koscielny at the back, with the Frenchman sidelined due to a knee wound. Mikel Arteta partners Aaron Ramsey in the double-pivot, with Mathieu Flamini dropping out, whilst Tomas Rosicky gets the nod on the left, replacing the suspended Jack Wilshere. Lukas Podolski warms the Gunners bench along with the likes of Santi Cazorla.

The Blues make three alterations from the XI that edged past Palace. Gary Cahill replaces David Luiz in defence, whilst John Obi Mikel and Frank Lampard are drafted into midfield – Michael Essien drops out through suspension while Juan Mata takes his place on the bench, allowing Ramires to move onto the right of the attacking midfield three. Oscar, Andre Schurrle and Samuel Eto’o are also amongst the subs, with Fernando Torres leading the line again.

Once again, we’ve opened the Dugout Discussion chatroom for those partial to some real-time reaction.

Any chance of a RMT guys?

    Krul
    Evans / Molsson / Baker / Burner
    Walcott / Hazard / Oscar
    Rooney / Suarez / Negredo

    Speroni / Sess / Jedinak / Bardsley

    1FT, 0.0 in the bank

Not sure whether to save a transfer and keep Sess and Oscar for a week or get rid of one or both now?

    Is yaya playing Boxing day?

I swear I read somewhere he is on duty.

"Brothers Kolo and Yaya Toure remain on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Ivory Coast"

    Can anyone confirm?

Not really. Chelsea are near impossible to beat when they basically choose not to lose, they managed that against even Barca when Barca were one of the best teams of the last 20 years. And they're joint top with fixtures easing up. So, in short, you're wrong.

Chelsea can't score? No, they can score, they've scored at 17 goals in the past 7 games. That's over 2 goals a game. And we all knew this period would be tough for Arsenal with their fixtures.

    Good morning DZ. 😀

    Team atm-

    Howard
    Jagielka,Terry,Evans
    Silva,Ramsey,Hazard,Oscar
    Suarez,Negredo,Lukaku

    4m,Ravel,Burner,Faye

The plan was to get Walcott in this week for either Oscar or Hazard. But after what happened last night I'm not too sure who to ditch now. Thinking of ditching Ramsey for Walcott now as Chelsea have two home games coming up.

    What do I do then?

    A. Oscar>Walcott
    B. Hazard>Walcott
    C. Save FT this week and then next week Terry>Collins and Ramsey>Walcott for free.

Ozil looked knackered last night and Arsene said he'd rest him.

Arsenal need the win but can they afford to wait until Cardiff to rest him and risk a poor performance against Newcastle or leave him out against West Ham and get him back rejuvenated for the Geordies?

I think we might see Cazorla back in the middle for a game with Podolski returning to the left and Rosicky playing alongside Flamini on Boxing Day as Ramsey gets rested too

I'd be very wary of judging Arsenal on last nights game, they have had a tough run. Wenger did no make one change, appear that not losing was a priority. He has the option of starting him, and subbing him early which would be ideal.

    Ozil to Silva?

Ozil could be rotated on Boxing Day, Wenger made no substitution last night and could start Cazorla/Podolski/Flamini for Ozil/Giroud/Arteta. Silva is on 4 YC and if he picks up one vs. Pool he will miss City's next home game vs. Palace.

    A) Yes, this week
    B) Yes, but after the Pool game
    C) No, keep Ozil and get Silva in January WC

    Thanks

      It's a difficult one.

Silva is at home but Ozil has a easier fixture. Could go either way. Not too sure about Ozil being rested this game. So, toss a coin. 😉
