          Reus is certainly a class player but I'd prefer Mata - he's shown he can play in the PL and would settle quicker.

          Shaw is a far better option than Baines imo

        Would he get into the Barca or Real sides? NO

        So going back to Spain is a downgrade, Italy wouldn't suit his game, he wouldn't get into Bayern's side so boils down to money in France with PSG or staying in England where he knows he can do well. Because at the moment he is not going to the World Cup.

    I have a fairly solid rank, currently at 54K, but my team value is low and it's really concerning me post wildcard.

    Took the plunge and activated today, bringing in 3 risers, and shipping a faller. I'm going to juggle these to the best of my ability in the hope of raising some funds. Some of the teams being banded about are way beyond my reach.

    What do you think is the best I can hope for over the next week if I don't miss any ops. An extra 0.3 to play with, if that?

            Similar to mine..

            At best I guess you can raise around 0.5m more to spend, so like me you will be forced to consider some cheapie strikers if opting for Suarez, Aguero. Have you considered a final team yet?

              Really tough. Still torn on formation.

              Was going to fill up on cheap defs and go 352 with 5 quality mids. Problem with that is the best value lies in defence. Still no closer I'm afraid.

            It's not really about your total sell value unless you plan on selling all. I am guessing you will have 5-6 players you are keeping.
            Most people will have saurez, couple of mids, Coleman, smackers type who they won't sell, so large selling value aren't always relevant

              It's a good point, and I've never really cared about tv before. But some of the teams people here propose to adopt are far stronger than I can manage, and that's down to my sv. Trying to claw a touch of ground back.

        Yeah not too many options at all. Mutch looks the best value for his pricetag but I don't want to get him in if he is going to be out for a while with a hamstring injury. Yeah I think I'll just stick with Ravel and endure the price drops. Thanks.

          From memory, you're using the WC in GW22? If so, you could save the FT the following week (which should be easy considering you've just wildcarded!) and then have 2 FTs for GW24 when Aguero may be back?

      I really, really want Oscar to be a viable alternative to Hazard. New Year's Day advanced that cause quite a bit, as did Mata's continued slide down pecking order.

      As you may have a couple of weeks wait for Aguero have you considered using the extra funds from the place holder to upgrade Mutch to Lallana/Eriksen and then you can switch between 352 and 343 depending on fixtures and form.

    I still think Barkley is a great option....quality player, yeah he gets rested sometimes(not as much as some make it seem though). He's a cheap mid, I remember a few seasons back a good cheap mid wqas someone who played. Now we want a nailed on, goal scoring, set pieces cheap mid... When did the standards for a cheap mid get so unrealistically high?

          As a cheap mid I want them to start every game and have the max goal threat available for the money. At a time when players are being rested a lot it is important your back up at least plays I feel. I wouldn't expect set pieces etc
