With the frantic festive period now behind us, we can finally take stock and assess the statistics over the last few matches. Having last looked at the data in Gameweek 17, we have three sets of matches to investigate – Arsenal’s midfield, Tottenham’s attack and United and City’s frontmen are all placed under the microscope this time around:
-
Any ideas for this bunch ?
Howard
Terry - Coleman - Turner
Hazard - Wally - Cabaye - Januzaj
Suarez - Lukaku - Negredo
Davis - A.Williams - Gabbidon - Morisson
Any urgent transfers needed ? 🙂Open Controls-
Don;t double up on Everton. Get a different 2 different GKs who are cheap and rotate well. Ditch Williams, Morrison & Negredo and swap Cabaye for Lallana.

I know he is injured at the moment but I don't think Ozil is getting enough love and think that he is being overlooked by far too many players. He is also dropping in price which will surely make him even more attractive as I fully expect Walcott to be more expensive within 2 gameweeks.
Open Controls -
When I said last week I was getting Baines instead of Coleman because I thought he would outscore him over the rest of the season and I was playing catch up to Coleman owners, only one person (The Colonel I think) agreed with me, everyone else said Coleman would be better value and most (probably his owners) said he would outscore Baines.
Do I detect a change in the wind direction reading back? 😉Open Controls-
I'm keeping Coleman
Baines will bite back, but I paid 5.0 for Coleman, however you break it down, I got a bargainOpen Controls -
Cool story bro
Open Controls -
Wally (c) this week btw
MNF ya know 😉Open Controls -
I agree with both sides of the argument.
Open Controls -
Sorry WR
Im a huge fan of baines but for me its a no brainer
Coleman plays like a right winger and his finishing is impressive
Baines pre injury went 7 blanks after west ham brace
Relying on set pieces is far too risky.Open Controls -
you sound like bows 😉
Open Controls -
A pen does not a striker make, just look at soldado

Help a bro out? Multiple injuries.. 1FT. Possible wild card or make the 1FT and wait a couple of weeks..
Sczcesny (boruc)
Dawson kompany distin (clyne Flanagan)
Barkley toure hazard Wally (Morrison)
Jrod Suarez negredo
2 in the bank.. Was thinking Flanagan to kos.. Clinging to the top of my leagues by the skin on my teeth.. Advise welcomeOpen Controls -
So I managed to scrape this together. What do you think?
Marshall / K Davis
Chester / Ward / Coleman / Koscielny / Nastasic
Barkley / Eriksen / Oscar / Walcott / Silva
Rooney / JRod / Suarez
Plan is to do Rooney to Aguero next week. Not sure about Nastasic either.. Any comments?Open Controls-
-
Not sure how I'd get him out though. Who would be better in his stead?
Open Controls

Players you guys think who will rise twice?? Please help, I'm new to the increasing team value game.
Open Controls-
Then get the players you want. It's a fool's game chasing double-risers for WC profits. At best, you're up 0.2m which gets you next to nothing.
Open Controls

Anyone still in the cup? Don't think I've got through three rounds before!

Play Redmond or JWP this week fellas?Open Controls-
-
Cheers mate. Redmond has a habit of picking up assists in tough away games, so you never know. 😉
JWP lovely fixture but not nailed on now.Open Controls
-
-
JWP does he play now though? Redmond will atleast play most of the match
Open Controls-
I think he's on for another bench cameo. Supposedly quite poor v Everton and was dropped v Chelsea the following game. So I do think he'll be on the bench not starting. Shame WBA is a lovely fixture.
If Pilkington's not back, Redmond should start so yeah, probably going to have to pick the starter out of the two.Open Controls

Saying it for one last time…
RMWCT?
Szczesny 3.9
Terry Dawson/Kos Coleman Ward Chester
Walcott Hazard Silva Gerrard Cheapie
Adebayor Suarez Lukaku
Thanks lads 🙂Open Controls-
oscar over gerrard imo.
go for kosOpen Controls -
looks decent but even wc teams look the same as normal teams
Open Controls-
Yeah that's true! Who should I go for? Kos or Dawson?!
Open Controls
-
-
good team mate
very strongOpen Controls -
Alright mate. Yeah nice defence, Maybe try Cech in goal, Perhaps nastasic and change Coleman to Baines for a differential. Nice Midfield, I prefer Lallana to Gerrard. Other than that looks good. Have a plan to get in Aguero and good luck!
Open Controls -
Would definitely choose Kosc over Dawson. Solid team. Plan in place to get Aguero back?
Could you help me out above mate?Open Controls -

I sure hope Norwich are safe by GW34
Have you seen their final 4 fixtures
LIv, mnu, che, ARS 😯Open Controls-
hooper time
Open Controls-
Not then, jeez, not then
Open Controls

Sorry to say it as I like Chris Hughton but they're going down.
Open Controls-
I don't see them going down.
I think it will be Sunderland, Palace and Cardiff that will drop. Norwich have enough about them to stay up.Open Controls-
Sunderland have too much quality imo and have been a lot better generally under Poyet. Cardiff will probs spend again in Jan but I suppose it could all go wrong, I just think they at least have a strong home record and a reasonably solid defence.
Palace, Norwich and West Ham for me.Open Controls -
Can't agree there...Norwich look like one of the worst three teams.
Open Controls
-
-
-
So they could be the deciders of the top 4
Open Controls
-
-
I can't help feel I should wildcard now to avoid any more price rises. Hazard will be unaffordable in a few weeks time.
Open Controls -
Planning to take a punt on Gaston Ramirez. Is there anyone else who saw him play? I rate him pretty high.
Open Controls -
Do we think Kosc is rising more than Mert this GW? I'm considering Mert -> Kosc now, to catch said price rises and clear some funds for next week. If Mert rises by 0.1 then I'll make that in profit on him, but Kosc almost certain to rise by more than that I'd guess...
Anything more pressing?
Ming // Davis
Mert - Evans - Bardsley // Gabbidon - Whittaker
Wally - Haz - Silva - Barkley // Bannan
Rooney - Suarez - Giroud (who's health I am gambling on)
Thanks in advance.Open Controls-
That's not a good way to spend a transfer IMO. The game is about points and Mertesacker is a huge goal threat
Open Controls
-
-
Does anyone else fancy Gerrard at 8.7? Surely back In the line up and back on set pieces and pens? Could downgrade a toure or hazard and have upgrading cash?
Open Controls-
I definitely fancy getting him in, I'll prob do him and Aguero as soon as both fully fit.
Open Controls

Time for 3-5-2?
I reckon this wildcard has come at the right time to consider going 3-5-2 and picking a budget striker. Good options now with the like of JRod, Hooper, Agbonlahor, Berahinho, Gouffran all performing
Open Controls-
JRod or Hooper for me, but they will start/rotate
Open Controls -
And with mids starting to pick up too, makes sense.
Open Controls -
I like it
Open Controls -
Ssssh! This is exactly what I'm thinking.
Open Controls-
Ssssh?? Hardly a secret.
Open Controls
-
-
It does look like it. Power of 5 ?
Ozil, Walcott, silva, hazard, Cabaye...Open Controls -
I reckon so too although things may change over the next couple of weeks
Open Controls -
Could even go with a mid priced striker.
I have Adebayor who is at the higher end, but Welbeck and Fletcher are also good value.Open Controls-
I tried it with JROD
I had Ozil, Hazard, Walcott and Silva, but had to take Redmond or his like as my 5th mid. So he'd either rotate with JRod or stay as a playing sub.Open Controls-
Yes unfortunately we need someone on the scale of Michu value to come forth to make it work.
Open Controls-
I think Eriksen will get better and better
just needed time to settle
great option for his priceOpen Controls -
it's workable without Ozil, you just need to bench the striker, always a risky move
Open Controls -
Granny do you like Eriksen?
Worth it over Lallana or Cabaye this week?Open Controls-
At £7.1m he looks very good. Bear in mind though that Spurs were good on the break against United, but they're not going to get that much freedom again.
Open Controls-
Good point and he did nowt at home vs Stoke
Think I'll wait for a bit
Lallana maybe instead of Cabaye?Open Controls
-
-
-
-
-
-
already done 3-5-2
left 3.2 mil to doluk to kun.Open Controls -
Welbeck, Aguero and Suarez is becoming a serious consideration for me
Hazard, Silva, Walcott, Cabaye, EriksenOpen Controls -
don't think id consider the latter 3 from them options. are the first 2 options not too pricey to have as your first sub?
Open Controls -
-
I looked at this earlier as an option

You are like me
always leaning towards 3-4-3Open Controls

waste of money.
Open Controls
-
-
Hate the bottom of the page.
Zaba to Koscielny worth a free for next week or save?Open Controls-
Over the next 5 games their chances of cleanies are 50/50 imo, I would keep Zaba, much better chance of attacking points.
Open Controls -
If you want kos long term it is worth doing for a free, ars prob have a slightly better chance of clean sheet to
Open Controls-
I don't have any arsenal cover and it's bothering me, could get Chesney in I suppose.
Open Controls
-
-
I would keep Zaba personally but it's a tough one. Kos is great value
Open Controls
-
-
How does A.Williams > Chester sound to free up some funds ?
Will be rotated with Gabbidon and Turner.
What you guys reckon ? 🙂Open Controls -
Please RMWCT.
Manonne-Marshall
Kos-Coleman-Evans-Ward-Chester
Haz-Wally-Silva-Januzaj-Bannan
Rooney-Suarez-Ade
I know this is a pretty template team, but my rival doesn't have a lot of these players.Open Controls -
Lukaku conspicuous in his absence from any Big Numbers.
Open Controls-
If it wasn't for the fact I had to shift Negredo more and he did not have 2 nice fixtures next, Lukaku would have been going this GW but I am giving him another week.
Open Controls-
And Norwich. His fixtures are good for a while, but I'm tired of him.
Open Controls
-
-
Mirallas' game time is killing him.
Open Controls-
I'm usually too hasty so I'll try to hang tight another couple matches. But under protest that no one cares about.
Open Controls

Last try, Please can I get a second opinion off a kind gentleman?
Any opinions on whether I should WC this team?
DDG,
Terry, Clyne, Distin,
Haz, Yaya, Wally, Ravel
Suarez, Lukaku, Negredo
Figueroa, Moxey, Oveido. 1FT, 0.2 in bank
Doubts- Ravel, Distin, Clyne, Negredo? Cheers lads,Open Controls -

Opinions on My final Wildcard team:
------------McGrogor - Speroni
Baines -Coleman-Clyne-Ward-Chester
Walcott-Silva-Oscar-Eriksen-Ravel
-------Suarez-Lukaku-Rodriguez
I plan to use 2 FT to downgrade a premium mid and upgrade Jrod to Ageuro when he is fitOpen Controls-
-
Swap McGregor for Marshall as he has better rotation and fixtures.
Sell either Baines or Coleman as it is risky doubling up on defenders.
Consider a different budget midfielder as Morrison is injured plus he has not got a decent points score since 9th Nov.
I would probably swap Lukaku for Adebayor or Berbatov as they are in better form just now.Open Controls
-
-
Is anyone planning on having 1 big defender and rotate 4 cheapies for the other 2 spots? Rotating defenders from Hull, Cardiff, Crystal Palace and Norwich will give these fixtures up until the end of the season:
STK HUL
NEW HUL
NOR car
WBA SUN
AVL SOT
HUL car
NEW avl
FUL STK
sun sot
WBA SUN
stk wba
CRY WBA
AVL ful
STK whu
sun ful
AVL new
EVE ful
This would allow me to have a team like this*:
Mannone Marshall
Baines Burner Ward Chester M.Olsson
Hazard Silva Walcott Gerrard (4.8mid)
Suarez Aguero Adebayor
*I'm planning on wildcarding when Aguero is definitely back.
Thoughts?Open Controls -
Who else here thinks Yaya is overpriced?
Open Controls -
-
What are peoples opinions on west ham? What is going on there? I never understood why they would buy an injured carroll for 15 million? He got his injury on the last day of last season whilst on loan, so at the very least they knew he would miss the first 6 to 8 weeks of the season, did he even have a medical? sam at fault or the board? Didnt the same people nearly run birmingham into the ground?
It has been a truly shocking season for them.Open Controls -
on this big mids malarkey would people prefer
a) Ozil and Redomond (so play JRod every week or have him rotating)
b) Eriksen and say Lallana with Hooper as a subOpen Controls-
A. But not Redmond.
Open Controls
-
-
Hey which would bring a greater differential..
Baines and erikson
Or
Silva and kos
(Already have yaya and Coleman)Open Controls-
Are you asking what will score more points, or what is the bigger differential?
Open Controls
-

Who would you be benching out of
Januzaj (SWA)
Sterling (sto)
Cabaye (MCI)?Open Controls
