With time to take stock and assess the lay of the Fantasy landscape, we cast an eye over the Fantasy Football Scout leagues across a variety of games. With leagues in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports, Sun Dream Team and Champions League games, we have plenty to analyse:

Fantasy Premier League

Luke Weston leads the way on 1,406 points. At the back, he has the likes of Seamus Coleman and Per Mertesacker, whilst Theo Walcott, Eden Hazard, David Silva and Yohan Cabaye are amongst his midfield five. Up top, Luis Suarez, Wayne Rooney and Alvaro Negredo lead the line for Luke, who is also the overall world number one right now.

In second spot sits the world number two, Andry Marpaung. He, too, has Coleman and Mertesacker at the back, with City’s Pablo Zabaleta also part of his defence, whilst Walcott and Cabaye are joined by Kevin Mirallas and Adnan Januzaj in midfield – Andry has opted to retain the stricken Aaron Ramsey on his bench for the meantime. Up top, Loic Remy joins Rooney and Suarez for Andry, who sits 13 points off the summit on 1,393 points.

Luke van Lelyveld climbs to third spot in the Scout league. Again, there are similarities – Coleman and Mertesacker at the back, Walcott, Hazard and Cabaye (joined by Jesus Navas) in midfield, with Rooney and Suarez alongside Romelu Lukaku in the front three. Luke is 16th overall on 1,363 points and is also number one in the Scout Members league.

In fourth spot sits Stian V ge Welde, who is equal on points with Luke and 18th overall. Coleman and Mertesacker are joined by John Terry at the back, whilst Walcott and Cabaye are selected along with Peter Whittingham, Roberto Koren and the injured Ramsey in midfield. Similar to Luke, Stian has also opted for a Rooney/Suarez/Lukaku front three.

Michael Atkins completes our top five after scoring 60 points last time around – more than any of our featured managers. His decision to pair Mertesacker with Bacary Sagna paid off at home to Cardiff, whilst Walcott, Cabaye, Hazard and Silva are joined by Rooney, Suarez and Lukaku up front. Michael is also on 1,363 points – 19th overall.

Clearly, then, whilst our quintet have slightly different teams, there’s a definite pattern emerging, with six players – Coleman, Mertesacker, Walcott, Cabaye, Suarez and Rooney – in each of the five sides. Thanks to their efforts, the Fantasy Football Scout league is top of the Best Leagues as we look to defend our title once again.

In the Fantasy Football Scout Members league, Luke van Lelyveld leads the way, as mentioned. Colin Smyth takes second spot on 1,332 points, whilst a trio of managers (Joe Wilkinson, Andrew Fong and Craig Till) are tucked in behind on 1,319 points apiece.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Dammy Olubokun sits in first and second spot. Both his teams are on 1,448 points, which is 14 points ahead of our former leader, Ben Broadhurst, in third position. Dammy’s two teams are joint-third in the overall standings, whilst Ben joins him in the top 10 – he’s currently seventh in the world so far. The winner of our Sky league, which is also top in the league of leagues, wins £1,000. To join, visit Sky Sports Fantasy Football and key in League Name: FFScout, League Code: 8000112.

Sun Dream Team

Charles Mouzon is the leader of the Scout League with a current overall score of 1,110 points. His decision to load up on four Arsenal defensive options along with Seamus Coleman has worked wonders, though he currently has injury concerns over the likes of Sergio Aguero, Aaron Ramsey, Paulinho, Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud – of his six midfielders and forwards, then, only Luis Suarez is currently available.

Dan Ward is 16 points behind in second spot. He’s selected the entire Arsenal back-four and keeper and opted for a 4-4-2 but, like Charles, has injury worries ahead – aside from his defenders, only Yaya Toure and Mousa Dembele are fit for selection.

Geoff Pryor completes the top three on 1,089 points. He’s overlooked the Gunners completely at the back and doubled up on Chelsea instead, whilst, further up the field, he has far fewer problems than his rivals – Toure, Suarez, Alvaro Negredo and Oscar are all injury-free.

The winner of our Sun League also earns themselves £1,000 – to join, visit The Sun Dream Team, league name: Fantasy Football Scout, password: ReWOZhn1T1 and PIN: 8061654.

Champions League

DIEGOCHO33 is the Scout League leader after the completion of the group stages. He sits on 487 points – second in the overall rankings and just six points off the summit. Tankax takes second position, with a total of 459 points enough to earn 32nd place overall, whilst socalledstars11 is third in our round-up, five points back and in 61st spot in the world. To join, visit the UEFA website – league name: FFScout, code: 1209685-489925

PlayON

Mark Dowson finished top of the pile in PlayON’s exclusive Fantasy Football Scout £2 game last time around. He takes away £36.43 for his troubles after loading up on five Liverpool and three Arsenal players in midweek. Second placed David Burraway is £24.42 richer, whilst Steve Legg picks up £18.48 for finishing third.

Fantasy Football Scout Cup

We’ve reached the Seventh Round of the Scout Cup and are now down to the final 16. The ties take place over Gameweek 21 – if you fancy having a look at who is still involved, click here for the latest draw.

I planed to use WC in last moment, but now I m thinking maybe to use it for next GW because I have in my team : Distin, G. Johnson, Baker, Walcott and Rooney (all 75% doubtful).
    I have 2 FT.
I rather keep WC for the end of transfer window. Is it possible in this situation?
    Thanks!

Think I have my defence sorted for my WC, based it on upcoming fixtures, what do you think:

    Jussi, Mannone
    Coleman, Chester, Koscielny, Williamson, Nastasic

My only doubt are game time for jussi and Nastasic?

    Jrod ran riot?
    Walcott injured?

Rosicky and Caz were enough to kill Spurs.
      Walcott slightly injured.

All newly promoted EPL sides won today, by scoring two goals each. Chamakh and Campbell on score sheet.

      Fulham and Norwich draw.

Everton embarrassed QPR by scoring 4 goals, and yes, Coleman scored again. So if anyone is planning on not having Coleman in WC, you are committing a FPL sin.

Lambert scored for SOTON but went off injured. Shame.
But Lallana, JayRod and Clyne all scored too, proving how important it could be to have them all in following weeks where SOTON face a delicious run of fixtures.

Thank you for taking your time to write this reply, The B.

I find the Lambert's piece of news most interesting, mainly Jrod is a must have now, surely? The possibilities of upgrading my midfield or defense because of his price tag is too much to pass on, I think.

JayRod is the obvious cheap option right now. But im looking into Campbell too now that the management at Cardiff has changed which has enabled Cardiff to go forward more.

Lambert was a huge blow to my plans, i had all plans to have him for this GW as a differential.

Cardiff's fixtures are not the greatest though. Too much talk from the Cardiff camp not enough action because building the attacking fluidity takes time, experience and knowledge. For example, AVB talked a lot at Chelsea and Spurs but wasnt able to implement it in practice.

Lallana or Eriksen that is the question.

In Fa cup it was no contest today as the decision clearly goes to Lallana, but judging the player by one bad fixture is a rookie mistake 101.

The trouble is Hazard, Walcott, Silva are undroppable, so that leaves only one midfield spot.
Unless, 5 midfielders 2 forwards, thoughts?

    Who to get?

    1. Adebayor (CRY swa) - good form, Palace at home looks tasty.
    2. JRod (WBA sun) - may play up top since Osv and Lambert out, likely to be my 3rd WC striker so getting early good to lock his price
    3. Negredo (new CAR) - looks off-form but Newcastle is hit by injury and Cardiff at Etihad.

JayRod is making more sense since you want him already in WC, but Negro seems like a great shout since NewCastle will be terrible at the back now.

Kind of reminds me of Stoke that conceded 5 to NewCastle and 3 to Spurs when it had suspensions and injuries. So City could score big.

best going forward in pts? for WC

    X--Yaya (always reliable healthwise)

    Y--Silva (alays risk of injury)

Silva. Yaya will regress to the mean or at least closer to it with Aguero and Silva back in action.

Just looked at my squad and seen four flags over Cabaye, Rooney, Mutch and Walcott...

Can I feel a winter WC coming on?

u dont think Eriksen is a btter player that could also be better at pts in fpl than lalana? i saw him plays lots at ajax , hes a cheap michael laudrup danish.

if its because 2 spurs, then i could do ade > jrod or any 7.7 or under

Just had a crazy WC thought ...

How would 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 work out?

Defence could be Baines, Nasty, Skrtel, JEvans and Chester. Probably play the first 4, most weeks.

Then play Walcott, Silva, Hazard, Aguero, Suarez and one other cheapie each week.

dont think 4-4-2 is the best to be honest.

Aguero, Suarez and J-Rod maybe. Barkley and Janu as my cheap mids.

        Just an idea for now!

J-Rods doing the business for now. Wouldn't rely on him though. I like it. Switch JRod and Baines for a big striker and cheap defence then when he stalls.
