Even when he was higher up the pitch yesterday he was not up to much. Obviously he is a class player but Moyes does not know how to get the best out of him with RVP and Mata.

Meh, it's Rooney. His stats for when he's started a game and either scored or assisted are incredible.

I had him up until he got injured and rate him highly.
However, what we need to remember is when he was scoring all those points Mata wasn't there and RVP was injured.
A lot of Rooney's points came from set pieces and that is going to be reduced now that Mata and RVP will also be taking set pieces.
Not only that the system Moyes was playing with all of them [not including his midfield role after injuries] was awful.

yesterday during uniteds goal, why wasn't it ruled as offside. The defender cleared the ball as there was welbeck behind him who was offside. That should be termed as involvement in play as had he not been there, the defender wouldn't have made that desperate clearance.
