Not ridiculous at all imo (even though I really like him and have him from my Winter WC). Rooney, Sturridge, Carroll (to bully in games that we will be outclassed in), Lambert and even Welbeck (again to do with pressuring defences in games that we won't have a lot of possession in) are all better options imo.

Mata's a great player of his type..very similar to Silva...But !!..It's easy to see now why Jose's weapon of choice was Willian, really impressive and a very different kind of player when it comes to defensive work, head and shoulders above Mata in that dept.
