Our third Members article of the week takes the usual look at the Captaincy options ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. We analyse the stats of Robin Van Persie, Luis Suarez and Eden Hazard –the top three in this week’s Captain Poll – and also assess a couple of in-form alternatives, as well as rolling out our usual “Unsensible” armband alternative, for those willing to roll the dice:
-
Armband firmly placed on RVP

Evans out. To replace with shaw or anyone else or to save and play ward?
Mannone
Azpi ivan ward
Haz mata eriksen lallana
Studge roo suarez
Adrian evans noone olssonOpen Controls-

Nope
Open Controls

Save
Open Controls -
Get rid if you are already planning to at some point anyway
Open Controls -
I have a similar problem. Either swap out Evans or play Kos (liv) or Bruce (sun) but wont play.
I am leaning towards bringing Shaw back into the fold after a two week hiatus.Open Controls -
Save!

Is the membership any good? Considering getting it after this season and was wondering if it is worth it for the information you get.
Open Controls-
same question
Open Controls -
first season I have had it and I would recommend it. The stats available in the members area are very useful.
Open Controls -
Yes..excellent. More info than you can shake a stick at...Evra and Snodgrass for the GW btw...
Open Controls -
-
I would say yes - it's not expensive... and if you are a non casual user you may as well have access to the entire site. Some of the data is really good like player comparisons. Some of it less so...
Open Controls -
I often just look at how many times I come on this site in a day and if people don't take the membership to support Mark who's to say the site wouldn't disappear. Regarding the tools I love the season ticker and the comparison tool and use both weekly, I use the stats table sometimes but wish it was more customisable. All in all I think this site is well worth the money.
Open Controls -
I think its great season ticker and comparison tool is worth the money alone imo.

Caz -> Silva
or
Evans -> Cahill and bench Coleman?Open Controls-

Cool - i'll get in Silva then I guess...

Hmm think I'll get Santi instead of a city attacker next week. Roll over the next week, Mutch > Snoddy/Adam gw28 (bench chester kolarov mata mannone) and still have two ft's gw29Open Controls -
Bench 1
Coleman tot, Ward WBA , Bardsley HUL
Currently benching ColemanOpen Controls-
I'd go with Coleman. Not convinced he will start and will be rusty
Open Controls -
Probably ward

Coleman

I know many are in the same situation..
A) Bony to Rooney (C) for a hit? Its Fulham. And Bony is shite.
B) Sturridge to RVP (C) for a hit? Its RVP, its Fulham, and Bony is shite.
C) Play Bony. Its Cardiff at home, although Bony is shite.Open Controls -
1)
Hazard Yaya Mata Mirallas
Suarez Sturridge/Benteke RVP
2)
Hazard Yaya Mata Mirallas Lallana/Cazorla
Suarez Benteke/Sturridge (Adebayor)
What's the better option?Open Controls -
The Evans injury has forced me to do C.
We prayOpen Controls-

Chelsea CS chances so good that you recommend a hit to get Evans out for Apzi?
Or play mert and hope Evans is back soon?Open Controls -
Cahill worth the extra £0.5m compared to Azpi?
Open Controls-
I took at look at that earlier this week:

So...why is everyone absolutely convinced of Cahill's nailed-ness now?
Wasn't it only last week everyone was saying Luiz may take his place now that Matic is there?Open Controls-
What planet have you been on? Jose does not fancy Luiz and Cahill has played the full 90 in the last 6, as well as in 12 in 14. He missed around Champions League and the Christmas schedule.
After last weeks performance as well, he is nailed on.Open Controls -
luiz only plays centre back for the fa cup games
Open Controls
-
Rooney (c) too risky with Fellaini out?
Open Controls-
Why the hell would Fellaini make a difference?
Open Controls-
More likely to play in midfield with Fellaini out and Jones doubtful...?
Open Controls-
He won't play MF as they still have Fletcher, Carrick and Cleverley.
He will probably play a bit more withdrawn though.Open Controls-
Against Stoke they moved Carrick to CB rather than bringing on Rafael and moving Smalling to CB, which meant Rooney played MF, even though they had Fletcher on the bench. That sounds a bit complicated...
Basically I still think he could well play MFOpen Controls

-
-
-
What's the link with Fellaini?
Open Controls -
Roo might start supporting RVP, but likely to hang back and support Carrick and then play in the middle once Cleverly fails again and is pulled off after 55 mins.
Jones will play at the back with Evans out, so I wouldn't be putting the armband on Roo this week. Actually like Mata.Open Controls-
Are we sure Jones is fit though?

Hi guys! Need som city cover, yay or nay: benarfa - Silva for a hit!
Open Controls -
Giroud > Dzeko
Captain Hazard
Play Coleman, bench Koscielny.
Good moves?Open Controls -
Is anyone blowing cool on Dzeko after Mancini's update? I'm getting him....
Open Controls-
-
Mancini ohohoho Mancini ohohohoh
Open Controls
-
-
So whats happening with Alex Bruce? Has he been dropped? Time to start thinking of some replacements if so!
Open Controls -
-
Ward
Open Controls
-
-
Benteke c? Think he's as likely to score as Hazard.
Open Controls-
Wrong!
Open Controls-
-
Hazard is more likely to score than Benteke, imo
Open Controls
-
-
Why? Benteke given attaching points the last couple of matches, hazard not and some other potential goal scoters at the low scoring, defensive Chelsea
Open Controls-
Based on both form AND fixture, Hazard will surely have much more chances to score against a weak Newcastle, than Benteke has to score against the most away defensive team when he didn't have a single shot in the last game... things could change though...
Open Controls
-
-
Nah
Open Controls
-
-
Going to be windy everywhere tomorrow, do you reckon that lowers expected goal counts or raises them..
I think it means slightly less goalsOpen Controls -
What happened to Dzeko exactly?
Open Controls -
Need to bench two out of Baines, Chambers, Sagna and Ward. Currently on Chambers and Sagna.
Open Controls-
Thanks!
Open Controls -
I would pick Chambers and Ward
Open Controls-
-
If Chambers is fit he'll start, if not then Clyne will
Open Controls-
Every single predicted lineup on the Southampton forum has Clyne starting. He came on last week and made a difference, and got an assist.
He's too good a player to stay on the bench forever. Any slight knock to Chambers will be enough of an excuse to bench him.Open Controls
-
-
-
-
What's all this nonsense regarding Dzeko?
Surely he will be starting......? Why do people think he'll be out?Open Controls -
Tempted to captain Dzeko as they have run riot at Norwich in previous seasons, but think I will give Mata a punt with Hazard and Suarez two luxury vice-captains. Good choice this week but easy to get it wrong!
Open Controls-
dzeko has a dodgy ankle, see the tweets, so best to stay clear
Open Controls

I wonder what was the reaction on here when Aguero scored that last second goal against QPR
Open Controls -
What do u think guys about this
ade+studge out RVP+lambo inOpen Controls-
u'll need studge vs fulham next week, waste of a transfer imo
