It’s time to assess the progress of our Fantasy Football Scout leagues across a variety of games this evening. With leagues in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports, Sun Dream Team and Champions League games, we have plenty to analyse:

Fantasy Premier League

Michael Atkins is not only the new Scout league leader, he has moved to number one in the overall rankings after a 74-point haul in Gameweek 26 took his tally to 1,795 points. Whilst many were affected by the postponement of Everton’s clash with Palace and City’s home showdown against Sunderland, Michael was able to field a full XI – up front, Liverpool pair Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge were joined by Tottenham’s in-form Emmanuel Adebayor, whilst the likes of Cardiff stopper David Marshall, Per Mertesacker, Nathan Baker and Adam Lallana all produced for Michael’s side, “No_Way_Jose”.

Luke Weston drops to second in the Scout League and second overall after a 46-point haul last time around. Reduced to 10 starters in Gameweek 26, he also had Liverpool’s “SAS” leading the line, while Artur Boruc and Ron Vlaar both produced bonus points and clean sheets – Luke moves to 1,786 points overall and has now been inside the top 10 since Gameweek 13.

In third spot is Luke van Lelyveld, who is also first in the FFS Members league. He racked up an impressive 68 points in Gameweek 26 despite being reduced to nine players – Suarez, Sturridge and Adebayor lead the line, whilst the likes of Lallana, Mertesacker, Vlaar and Luke Shaw were all key for Luke, who is now in fourth spot in the overall rankings on 1,764 points.

Christov Davies takes fourth position in the Scout League. A score of 76 points was higher than any of our top five in the previous Gameweek – he managed to field XI players, with Suarez, Sturridge and Lallana joined by a triple up on Arsenal’s defence (Mertesacker, Wojciech Szczesny and Bacary Sagna), whilst Branislav Ivanovic and Jose Fonte both delivered double figure hauls from the back. Up to seventh overall, Cristov sits on 1,758 points.

Our top five is completed by Sam Coles, who slips down despite scoring 70 points in Gameweek 26. Another one to opt for Suarez and Sturridge, he also has Lallana, Ivanovic, Marshall and Laurent Koscielny to thank for his lofty position – Sam sits in eighth spot overall on 1,754 points.

Intriguingly, for all the talk of template squads, our featured quintet have just three players in common with 12 Gameweeks remaining – Suarez, Sturridge and Eden Hazard. Thanks to the extraordinary endeavours of our top five, Fantasy Football Scout remain top of the League of Leagues. To join up, the league code is 1580-1106

In the Fantasy Football Scout Members League, Luke Van Lelyveld has a 31-point advantage over second-placed Jono McPhillips, with Joe Wilkinson a further 11 points behind Jono on 1,722 points overall.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Dammy Olubokun continues to lead the way. Both his teams share first spot on 1,846 points – he has a healthy lead on his nearest challenger, Garry Wheeler, who is further back on 1,790 points. Dammy’s teams are placed in second spot overall, just eight points off the summit, whilst Garry joins him in the top 10 in seventh spot. The winner of our Sky league, which is also top in the league of leagues, wins £1,000.

The Sun Dream Team

Geoff Pryor leads the way on 1,500 points, with his tactic of doubling up on both Chelsea’s defence and midfield helping him to 19th spot overall. Geoff has a 39-point lead over Charles Mouzon, who sits second in the Scout League – the pair are far ahead of the chasing pack, where third-placed Dan Ward is a further 99 points behind Charles on 1,362 points. The winner of our Sun league also picks up £1,000.

Champions League

With just a couple of games played in the Last 16 knockout stages last night, Diegocho33 remains at the top of the Scout League on 515 points and, after racking up 28 points on Tuesday evening, he moved to number one in the overall rankings. Pavel123 is second in the Scout League (and 13th overall) on 497 points, whilst Tankax is nine points further behind in third. To join, visit the UEFA website – league name: FFScout, code: 1209685-489925

Fantasy Football Scout Cup

The Fantasy Football Scout Cup VIII, as sponsored by Paddy Power, was won by Tdubb05 last month, who defeated Ajax in the final. Entry for the Scout Cup IX and Members Cup IV is already underway – the qualifying round is Gameweek 27 and further information on how to take part can be found here.

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League

As most of you will know by now, the FPL also released a Beta version of their new game in preparation for next season. There’s been plenty of talk surrounding the game on the boards and we plan to look at it in detail in an upcoming article – for now, we’ve set up a league for those who are planning to get involved – the code is: 1305-459

I do think a 4th official like in rugby is needed, especially in games like this. Honestly thought the touch was too heavy from Robben. Fine margins like that have a huge impact on the whole competition.

I agree on both counts Som. Think its a matter of time (to long) before off field technology introduced especially in red card situations.

I hope so but the likes of FIFA are so blatantly not arsed/corrupt. It's not like we're taking power from the refs, if anything it gives them a go to guy who can reassure their decisions.

Yeah and all the talk about delaying the game , nonsense. How much time gets wasted
with players appealing to the ref when a 4th official could take a decision in seconds(most of the time)

Consider his fitness too, he was never a full 90 player before Arsenal and I'm pretty sure he's played the same number of matches for them now that he played for Real Madrid all season.

Rosicky is a class act. It's too bad he is chronically injured. And that this match is already as good as lost. He should have done this when Öz gave THAT pass.

I watched Yaya last night ,
We were right he was pathetic against good players.
An over rated flat track bully with limited ability and the ' casuals ' have got lucky.
Silva / Nasri are way more creative and are head and shoulders over this so called ' beast '.

Have you ever played? Yaya is a machine, would be the first player on the team sheet. How can you compare him to Silva/Nasri they are completely different players

Yaya has played over 400 competitive matches and won African player of the year 3 times ,
For me he is over rated as I say he's simply a decent CDM who has got lucky this year against some very ordinary teams in the premiership.

Trolling, i'm guessing. So for you no CDM can be "rated". Only attacking mids, strikers, and wingers can be :"rated". EPL is strongest leage in europe so I don't know who you want him to play against every week

                  A bit harsh no?

If his performance was pathetic and confirmed that he is a flat-track bully then that should be true for the rest of the City team. Not a Yaya supporter but its hard to ignore his talent and the work he does for City in the middle of the park. Going down to 10men didn't help & as for Nasri [who came on late mind you and was full of running] and Silva being more creative...I'd hope so. Their primary role is to carve out goal scoring chances.

what is it with the Yaya haters? I admit I didn't start the season with him, 8.5 for a defensive mid? no thanks. Since then he has scored what? 14 goals?

Take away the goals and fantasy premier league points and he would walk into most teams in the world, best box to box midfielder in the world, anybody with any knowledge of football can see that, the whole city team was pathetic against "good players"

I would rather be called a casual because I pick a player who regularly scores points rather than going for clever picks like Sessengnon? Zaha? Townsend? Coutinho? Snodgrass?

Name me 5 better players in the league than Yaya? You can't, in fact, name me 3?

0-1 at home is better than 1-3 at home, for sure, but it's still far from optimal, and this time this is the match that Bayern plays without Ribéry. Last time out, they were missing both Ribéry and Basti

Well i think we may be overlooking the point, arsenals inability to get into deeper into UCL is their failure to top their group. If you run into Barca and Bayern at Round of 16 every year, yes we will struggle. The last 2-3 years top spot in our group was very achievable and they cocked it up (also that was never a red)

Oh come on. They did very well before that red card. Or, let's say, well before the red card and very well before Öz missed the penalty. Surely they did have quality to win this, just failed to do so.

Liverpool have worse depth than Arsenal. the only reason they are pushing top 4 is that they only have EPL games to worry about. If they have UCL and a decent cup run they will not be traveeling as well. They are a suarez/sturridge injury away from being very poor again

                  *football
Were playing a team who gave won 45/52 16 clear in their league with 10 men and we have conceded to a wonder goal
Could have scored 3 in the first 35

                  Work it out...
