It’s time to assess the progress of our Fantasy Football Scout leagues across a variety of games this evening. With leagues in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports, Sun Dream Team and Champions League games, we have plenty to analyse:

Fantasy Premier League

Michael Atkins is not only the new Scout league leader, he has moved to number one in the overall rankings after a 74-point haul in Gameweek 26 took his tally to 1,795 points. Whilst many were affected by the postponement of Everton’s clash with Palace and City’s home showdown against Sunderland, Michael was able to field a full XI – up front, Liverpool pair Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge were joined by Tottenham’s in-form Emmanuel Adebayor, whilst the likes of Cardiff stopper David Marshall, Per Mertesacker, Nathan Baker and Adam Lallana all produced for Michael’s side, “No_Way_Jose”.

Luke Weston drops to second in the Scout League and second overall after a 46-point haul last time around. Reduced to 10 starters in Gameweek 26, he also had Liverpool’s “SAS” leading the line, while Artur Boruc and Ron Vlaar both produced bonus points and clean sheets – Luke moves to 1,786 points overall and has now been inside the top 10 since Gameweek 13.

In third spot is Luke van Lelyveld, who is also first in the FFS Members league. He racked up an impressive 68 points in Gameweek 26 despite being reduced to nine players – Suarez, Sturridge and Adebayor lead the line, whilst the likes of Lallana, Mertesacker, Vlaar and Luke Shaw were all key for Luke, who is now in fourth spot in the overall rankings on 1,764 points.

Christov Davies takes fourth position in the Scout League. A score of 76 points was higher than any of our top five in the previous Gameweek – he managed to field XI players, with Suarez, Sturridge and Lallana joined by a triple up on Arsenal’s defence (Mertesacker, Wojciech Szczesny and Bacary Sagna), whilst Branislav Ivanovic and Jose Fonte both delivered double figure hauls from the back. Up to seventh overall, Cristov sits on 1,758 points.

Our top five is completed by Sam Coles, who slips down despite scoring 70 points in Gameweek 26. Another one to opt for Suarez and Sturridge, he also has Lallana, Ivanovic, Marshall and Laurent Koscielny to thank for his lofty position – Sam sits in eighth spot overall on 1,754 points.

Intriguingly, for all the talk of template squads, our featured quintet have just three players in common with 12 Gameweeks remaining – Suarez, Sturridge and Eden Hazard. Thanks to the extraordinary endeavours of our top five, Fantasy Football Scout remain top of the League of Leagues. To join up, the league code is 1580-1106

In the Fantasy Football Scout Members League, Luke Van Lelyveld has a 31-point advantage over second-placed Jono McPhillips, with Joe Wilkinson a further 11 points behind Jono on 1,722 points overall.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Dammy Olubokun continues to lead the way. Both his teams share first spot on 1,846 points – he has a healthy lead on his nearest challenger, Garry Wheeler, who is further back on 1,790 points. Dammy’s teams are placed in second spot overall, just eight points off the summit, whilst Garry joins him in the top 10 in seventh spot. The winner of our Sky league, which is also top in the league of leagues, wins £1,000.

The Sun Dream Team

Geoff Pryor leads the way on 1,500 points, with his tactic of doubling up on both Chelsea’s defence and midfield helping him to 19th spot overall. Geoff has a 39-point lead over Charles Mouzon, who sits second in the Scout League – the pair are far ahead of the chasing pack, where third-placed Dan Ward is a further 99 points behind Charles on 1,362 points. The winner of our Sun league also picks up £1,000.

Champions League

With just a couple of games played in the Last 16 knockout stages last night, Diegocho33 remains at the top of the Scout League on 515 points and, after racking up 28 points on Tuesday evening, he moved to number one in the overall rankings. Pavel123 is second in the Scout League (and 13th overall) on 497 points, whilst Tankax is nine points further behind in third. To join, visit the UEFA website – league name: FFScout, code: 1209685-489925

Fantasy Football Scout Cup

The Fantasy Football Scout Cup VIII, as sponsored by Paddy Power, was won by Tdubb05 last month, who defeated Ajax in the final. Entry for the Scout Cup IX and Members Cup IV is already underway – the qualifying round is Gameweek 27 and further information on how to take part can be found here.

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League

As most of you will know by now, the FPL also released a Beta version of their new game in preparation for next season. There’s been plenty of talk surrounding the game on the boards and we plan to look at it in detail in an upcoming article – for now, we’ve set up a league for those who are planning to get involved – the code is: 1305-459

Depends on the others in your team.

if it helps - im leaving Erikson in my squad as he has at least some chance of playing as opposed to a player that has a blank.

I wouldnt compleetly dispmantle yout team and take a massive points hit for 1 GW

Rest of the team is ok (Mutch in midfield a bit of a doubt). I think Gabbidon is definitely out while Dawson only rested? Was thinking Gabbi to Azpi this week for free and wait and see on the others...

The PL table is on for quite a shake up I reckon. Arsenal's fixtures turn quite nasty over the coming weeks while Liverpool also play a number of the big teams as well as away to some defensively strong home sides (West Ham, CPL, Norwich).

Gonna be a cracking end to the season 😀

Huge room for a shakeup, Arsenal in particular will need some big results. If Spurs beat Pool then that 4th place spot is blown wide open. Even Arsenal could slip to contending for 4th if their tough games don't go their way. Very excited 😀

I think Arsenal could finish 4th or even 5th.
Aguero should help City kick on and win the league but another injury to him could pave the way for Liverpool or Chelsea to have a decent crack at it.
Realistically though, it really should be City's this year.

I know and I was one calling people crazy for doing it the first time around. They were both playing up front and central the first time though but in recent games Sturridge is the central striker with Suarez out more wide? They were also having similar returns whereas Sturridge has had much more consistent recently. Having said all this Suarez has the armband for this weekend and I am expecting a good score.

Lets not forget that Suarez is still providing good returns and averaging about 5.5 points per match, which is not to be sniffed at. I also expect him to take up a more central role once Lucas is back.

    Night gents.

My parting thought is what an utter twat Giroud is. Not just for what he's done to his family (after all we really don't know what his wife thinks. I do have an issue with it considering he had a new born daughter though) but from a club perspective. He's brought bad press on himself, more media attention and has done something that may well damage his mentality for the rest of the season. Given the strong support he's received from the manager and fans despite not being up to the standard of a really great Arsenal striker he repays that by potentially damaging his performances and creates an issue for Wenger. Aside from the family stuff I just think it shows a huge lack of respect at such a pivotal point in Arsenal's season.

Arsenal fans will be even more mad at him because he could of played a big role in today's game (eg. take the penalty over Ozil)

Yea he has damaged his reputation. Terry and Suarez have done a lot worse and not been dropped.

Arsene's morals damaging our trophy haul still, but I'd rather have morals then bought trophies.

Liverpool didn't drop him the FA ban did, and they stuck by after Evra also. These teams are a bit more ruthless. Giroud made a mistake off the field and the team get punished.

I forgot about the Evra incident tbh. I think Giroud would have featured if there was no red card though.

u can bet ur bottom dollar girouds off field antics have not been the deciding factor in him being dropped tonight.. u have to take into consideration his form of late which hasnt been good and the fact he has played a lot of games also and looked sluggish for a while too.. i dare say wenger has taken all things into consideration including his mental state ahead of such a huge game before deciding to leave him out.. nothing to do with morals

Hi all haven't been on in a few days, I'm aware the need to bring in players with a GW in 29 and the possibility of DGW after that, (Palace United) have two free transfers and want to use one this week but can't find one to make! I know it's sounds mad but have a look.

    Mannone/Adrian
    Olsson Koscielny Evans Ward Chambers
    Hazard Silva Mirallas Cazorla Noone
    Rvp Adebayor Suarez

Silva and caz have a great fixture this week, really struggling to figure out were to use one!!

One of these has to go in the team:

    Ward, Ince, Assaidi or Ki.

    But which one?
