It’s time to assess the progress of our Fantasy Football Scout leagues across a variety of games this evening. With leagues in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports, Sun Dream Team and Champions League games, we have plenty to analyse:

Fantasy Premier League

Michael Atkins is not only the new Scout league leader, he has moved to number one in the overall rankings after a 74-point haul in Gameweek 26 took his tally to 1,795 points. Whilst many were affected by the postponement of Everton’s clash with Palace and City’s home showdown against Sunderland, Michael was able to field a full XI – up front, Liverpool pair Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge were joined by Tottenham’s in-form Emmanuel Adebayor, whilst the likes of Cardiff stopper David Marshall, Per Mertesacker, Nathan Baker and Adam Lallana all produced for Michael’s side, β€œNo_Way_Jose”.

Luke Weston drops to second in the Scout League and second overall after a 46-point haul last time around. Reduced to 10 starters in Gameweek 26, he also had Liverpool’s β€œSAS” leading the line, while Artur Boruc and Ron Vlaar both produced bonus points and clean sheets – Luke moves to 1,786 points overall and has now been inside the top 10 since Gameweek 13.

In third spot is Luke van Lelyveld, who is also first in the FFS Members league. He racked up an impressive 68 points in Gameweek 26 despite being reduced to nine players – Suarez, Sturridge and Adebayor lead the line, whilst the likes of Lallana, Mertesacker, Vlaar and Luke Shaw were all key for Luke, who is now in fourth spot in the overall rankings on 1,764 points.

Christov Davies takes fourth position in the Scout League. A score of 76 points was higher than any of our top five in the previous Gameweek – he managed to field XI players, with Suarez, Sturridge and Lallana joined by a triple up on Arsenal’s defence (Mertesacker, Wojciech Szczesny and Bacary Sagna), whilst Branislav Ivanovic and Jose Fonte both delivered double figure hauls from the back. Up to seventh overall, Cristov sits on 1,758 points.

Our top five is completed by Sam Coles, who slips down despite scoring 70 points in Gameweek 26. Another one to opt for Suarez and Sturridge, he also has Lallana, Ivanovic, Marshall and Laurent Koscielny to thank for his lofty position – Sam sits in eighth spot overall on 1,754 points.

Intriguingly, for all the talk of template squads, our featured quintet have just three players in common with 12 Gameweeks remaining – Suarez, Sturridge and Eden Hazard. Thanks to the extraordinary endeavours of our top five, Fantasy Football Scout remain top of the League of Leagues. To join up, the league code is 1580-1106

In the Fantasy Football Scout Members League, Luke Van Lelyveld has a 31-point advantage over second-placed Jono McPhillips, with Joe Wilkinson a further 11 points behind Jono on 1,722 points overall.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Dammy Olubokun continues to lead the way. Both his teams share first spot on 1,846 points – he has a healthy lead on his nearest challenger, Garry Wheeler, who is further back on 1,790 points. Dammy’s teams are placed in second spot overall, just eight points off the summit, whilst Garry joins him in the top 10 in seventh spot. The winner of our Sky league, which is also top in the league of leagues, wins Β£1,000.

The Sun Dream Team

Geoff Pryor leads the way on 1,500 points, with his tactic of doubling up on both Chelsea’s defence and midfield helping him to 19th spot overall. Geoff has a 39-point lead over Charles Mouzon, who sits second in the Scout League – the pair are far ahead of the chasing pack, where third-placed Dan Ward is a further 99 points behind Charles on 1,362 points. The winner of our Sun league also picks up Β£1,000.

Champions League

With just a couple of games played in the Last 16 knockout stages last night, Diegocho33 remains at the top of the Scout League on 515 points and, after racking up 28 points on Tuesday evening, he moved to number one in the overall rankings. Pavel123 is second in the Scout League (and 13th overall) on 497 points, whilst Tankax is nine points further behind in third. To join, visit the UEFA website – league name: FFScout, code: 1209685-489925

Fantasy Football Scout Cup

The Fantasy Football Scout Cup VIII, as sponsored by Paddy Power, was won by Tdubb05 last month, who defeated Ajax in the final. Entry for the Scout Cup IX and Members Cup IV is already underway – the qualifying round is Gameweek 27 and further information on how to take part can be found here.

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League

As most of you will know by now, the FPL also released a Beta version of their new game in preparation for next season. There’s been plenty of talk surrounding the game on the boards and we plan to look at it in detail in an upcoming article – for now, we’ve set up a league for those who are planning to get involved – the code is: 1305-459

when arsenal drew bayern munich i was fearful
    obvious you might say

but i wasnt fearful as they are the best team in the world but rather because they begin with b.

Barcelona - lost in the cl final
birmingham - lost in the carling cup
blackburn - only team to beat arsenal under wenger in the cup in domestic cup
bolton - arsenal used to always struggle against bolton the reebok was horrible
(britania same we couldnt play here)

i would be just as fearful playing brighton or burton albion

Superstitious probs but strange none the less.

Time to swap Terry for Ivan? Been holding off hoping Terry would return and hold his value but he is getting close to dropping.

    So Terry > Ivan or
Hold Terry and ship Gabbidon > Olsson?

    Current Defense:
Terry, Mertesacker, Coleman, Fonte and Gabbidon

but mert next week to ivan would probs be my choice

Would you ditch Mert for Cahill now? WOuld give me an extra player for the blanks but Merts next two fixtures are arguably better. Would be wanting to get rid GW29 anyways and would prob be for a hit then.

Ivan for mert next week and your settled πŸ™‚ or even gw 29... if you want dont even bother its not essential to get 11 out gw 29 as if you have 10 you have 5 dgwers

    Kia ora DZers,
Looking to stick this week. Will use 2x Trades next week to do Lolarov --> Ivan and Silva -->Wilshere/Rambo(if fit).

    Side is:
    McGregor(Boruc)
Kolorov, Vlaar, Azpi (Coleman, R. Bennett)
    Silva, Nolan, Hazard, Lallana, Eriksen
    Tekkers, Suarez (JRod)

Stick? Weird being happy with Coleman on bench...

Yeah having no Arse cover as a fan feels weird. Perfect reasoning though.
Want Aguero up top with Suarez, so yeah JRod upgrade to Lambert post Liverpool game.
Mata out that week too though. Just need 3week punts to WC in GW31.

have you considered downgrading suarez to sturridge its a punt but one thatg could be considered in the later weeks.

keep silva this week though and good idea to stick this week with your team to get your two ft and re-evaluate.

Got 2 FT and no idea what to do with this team. Obvs thinking Eriksen and Fabio out due to their rotation issues but they both have games in GW29 (for which I'm down to 5 players anyway). Team looks ok for this week. Any ideas?? Will get in Lallana and Lambert for Yaya and Dzeko next week.

    Adrian
    Sagna, Figueroa, Azpi
    Yaya, Hazard, Eriksen, Mata
    Suarez, Sturridge, Dzeko

    cheers!

For a while the Arsenal midfield have not been supporting Giroud as much as they did earlier in the season and there have been less runs into the box. It has been a bit better recently with Santi starting to find a bit of form. However, when Ozil was on fire you had Ramsey, Walcott and Wilshere making plenty of forward runs, which created space for Giroud and gave Ozil more options for the killer pass.

He has actually carried quite a workload since he signed for Arsenal. They have had massive injury problems with their mids over the season, maybe he just isn't physically able to do the work he's been asked (or needed) to do...

he's a luxury player and one that arsenal did not need.. not one person has mentioned the fact he has moved from real madrid in spain to arsenal in the prem.. now first off thats a bit like going from a luxury cruise liner to a trawler in terms of players around him.. 2nd he's now playing in the fastest and most physical league in the world and he's not up to it.. simple as that..

oh they needed strengthening no doubt about that but not in the mould of another flair type playmaker one thing arsenal have never lacked even over these trophyless years is creativity... look down the spine of that arsenal team and its clear as day to see its weak.. i think perhaps he was under pressure to show arsenal after all the years of being realtively tight in the transfer market that they could splash big money on a big name.. its a statement of intent much like mata to united..

Ozil was statistically one of the most creative players in the league in gameweek 26. If they had a better striker then his output may not appear as bad as it's looking at the moment. No wonder he's looking short of confidence if the players around him aren't up to it. It might be resentment on his part when he was playing with players of a greater quality at Madrid. Who knows what's going on in his head.

I think seeing the predictions for GW29 dream team may help clear the fog and guide transfers
    (limit 3 players per team)

    Cech
    Fonte ivanovic caulker Ollsen
    Hazard lallana mata
    Ade lambert RvP

So, do you think it's better to sell aj and one of my top guys (that I'll sell before 28/9 anyway) and have 1ft before 29, in order to get lallana. (And some one I haven't decided on). Or get the undecided chap for aj and have two transfer n/w

    Team:

    Boruc
    Azpi, Sagna, Coleman, ward, Bruce
    Mata, yaya, hazard, aj, noone
    Ade, suarez, sturridge

Sell him next week and try and get 9 or so out for GW29. DGWs will be in GW31(More than just United & City), so i'd save my freebies for then.

Surely you are going to want him for City's 3 double gameweeks.

I am just benching him for 2 GWs as I don't want to pay his current price to get him back.

          Fair enough.

I personally intend on keeping him for the rest of the season and I don't want to waste two transfers taking him out, then back in. I also don't want to pay the extra money to get him back in but I realise that is not the case with everyone.

I've always wondered whether any actual EPL players would have a look on this site from time to time. Only to see us slagging them off and hating on them for getting subbed out at 59 minutes?

I know Ben Foster transferred RVP out of his team when West Brom faced United a few years ago because he was so confident of keeping a clean sheet. They shipped two .. but gutsy nonetheless.

So listen ... Eden if you're listening ... hat trick this week please and I'll name my firstborn after you.

I do enjoy the idea that a few of them are playing FPL, I remember hearing an interview with Baines where he said that Osman had dropped him because he wasn't scoring enough! Imgaine scoring a goal and being your captain, it would feel awesome!

Ha! I remember that ... was the same game Baines scored a brace, including a penalty.

Osman literally walked away from him after the game without shaking his hand! That's how serious this game is.

Yeah, I have AJ as well though who has Arsenal away then 2 blanks (as of now)

So this week could do -

                  A. AJ > Paulinho
                  B. Eriksen > Oscar or Paulinho (or similar)

Just trying to hang in there with a half decent midfield until my WC in about 4 weeks!
