Phil Jagielka is ruled out for Everton, though Romelu Lukaku returns. Davide Santon and Hatem Ben Arfa remain sidelined through injury. Arsenal welcome back Thomas Vermaelen and Mesut Ozil. Guy Demel emerges as a doubt for West Ham, whilst Sakho and Lucas return to training for Liverpool:

Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Phil Jagielka will miss the visit of West Ham after feeling his hamstring in the last couple of days. The injury is expected to see Jagielka ruled out for “a couple of weeks”. Antolin Alcaraz will vie with John Stones to replace Jagielka, with Roberto Martinez confirming the Paraguayan is fit and “working really well.” Elsewhere, Romelu Lukaku is available again to boost the Toffees’ striking options after being ineligible to face parent club Chelsea last week.

Newcastle will again be without the injured Davide Santon and Hatem Ben Arfa when they take on Hull at the weekend. The pair have knocks and won’t be available, though Sylvain Marveaux has returned and will be in contention for the Tigers clash.

Mesut Ozil is back in the squad for Arsenal’s trip to Stoke after missing last week with a thigh problem. Thomas Vermaelen also returns after injury, but Wenger has doubts over the fitness of left-backs Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs, with the former coming off against Sunderland with a foot injury.

Sam Allardyce has revealed that defender Guy Demel has been struggling with illness after contracting a severe case of tonsillitis earlier in the week. The Hammers boss remains hopeful that the right-back will be fit to face Everton, having now returned to training. Meanwhile Andy Carroll is back in the squad following suspension, though January signing Marco Borriello continues to struggle with a calf problem.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has received a double boost with news that Mamadou Sakho and Lucas Leiva have both returned to full training following injuries. The trip to St Mary’s will come too soon for Lucas, whilst summer signing Sakho will be assessed before a final decision is made on his availability.

Victor Wanyama and Jos Hooiveld are the Saints only doubts – both will be assessed prior to the match, Mauricio Pochettino confirmed earlier today.

In last night’s European matches, Ben Davies recovered from a calf injury to start in Swansea’s loss to Napoli last night. Alex Pozuelo emerged from the bench to cement his comeback from a brief hip problem in the 3-1 defeat to Rafa Benitez’ side. Elsewhere in the Europa League, Sandro returned from a calf complaint to play 76 minutes in Tottenham’s 3-1 win over FC Dnipro.

yeah more than likely. But don't want to make any plans for that yet, so much is up in the air and a lot can happen before that.

All I know is that I will probably bring in RVP & 4.6 mid for Bony & Mirallas after this gw for free.

They may, but logically the Cup Replays will be on 18/19 March - 10 or so days after the original tie. I know there are some CL games on then, so Chelsea and Man Utd would have been directly affected, but they're not in the FA Cup any more. I don't think Cup Replays (if they happen) will affect GW31 at all.

Possibly. It's worth noting that Hull weren't forced to play the Brighton replay on Monday - They only did it because they didn't want to compete with the game on the TV. UEFA do have some say on EPL games going ahead when CL games are on but there's been plenty of occasions where FA Cup replays have been on the same night.

The stats and the fixtures favour Snodgrass yet me along with many on here considerin Ince instead.. i'm not sure why to be honest 🙂 .. is this a case of overthinking and goin for the cooler underground option? ince looked good vs WestBrom but was out on the wing vs manu and has played just 2 games in the EPL. i dunno man.. i'm gettin second thoughts on ince over Snoddy. hmmm.. tough decision

In members area look at Doora's Deadly Assassin chart, double Ince's #' as it's a 4 match chart.

Personally I think Snoddy is the trendy pick. Fact still remains that Norwich has only scored 8 goals in like last 17 matches all comps. Ince is a differential on a team that showed they could score some goals with him in the lineup. Granted in only one match as United surprisingly played well. I think that's why people are wling to gamble one Ince. Plus Palace's eventual DGW.

yes, don't think it is that much of a big deal really. mannone will have plenty of doubles to make up for it. wasting transfers and/or funds on a GK for 1 or 2 weeks (particularly given the options available) is stupid in my opinion

        Wow still doing well Scroobius!

I don't think it's mad at all, it's not the template but who really wants snoddy and Lallana faces liverpool. Baines has 2 more games than most others after GW29 so it's asolid move.

I think generally people (including myself) are investing too heavily in midfield, just because there are few good options, but the points still seem to be in defence, as your team shows. ..Barkley, that is mental!

I would agree with your comments about Snoddgrass 100%. I disagree with your comments about Lallana though. He has been on fire this season and Liverpool can't defend. Lallana is a long term option whereas Snoddgrass isn't (in my opinion).

Hey Sparky. Lallana would be a great season keeper move, but scroobius was asking if it's daft to bring Baines in as a priority, which I think is fine. He's at home to west ham whereas Lallana's at home to liverpool.
Lallana in next week would be a great move though I agree, it also gives Scroobius a chance to see his current form against an in-form liverpool side.

i think average will be 30 plus...actually depends on who u get for gw31 it is no guarantee that u will gain alot of points plus the risk of rotations etc...also that teams lyk tottenham and norwich who are having a game in gw29 has a decent single game on gw31 so it is really not that bad if u do not manage to rid their players in time

Aguero will probably only play something like 120 mins perhaps (possibly less, but this is not an unreasonable estimate). Scaling up his points per min x 120 gives a result of 13 points for GWK 31. Make of this what you will.

I think it means he is worth owning, especially considering that he will have another 2 GWs coming

                Tinkerman, RE:Suarez

I can't see Sterling being benched for Allen. BR will want to try for a win at Southampton and if he were to start Allen over Sterling it would signal his intention that the whole team would be more defensive, so I'd expect no gain for Suarez even if he moved inside.

I'd go for Sturridge of the two.

    Hey everyone. 🙂

Quick question, am I right for buying Figueroa over Martin Olsson?

Olsson has a very good fixture in GW29, but Figueroa doesn't even have a fixture at all that week.

Although, I already have 7 players who will most likely play in GW29, which is more than my ML rivals, and my aim is to have more players than them in that week, and I feel like once you're at about 7 or 8 players in that week, it's a bit silly spending transfers on players that you're gonna wanna get rid of in a few weeks.

So, with Hull having a possible DGW in GW31, and Norwich not having any DGW's at all, am I right for buying Figueroa over Olsson?

For what it's worth I think I've worked out the logic for the DGWs/cup replays (nb this contradicts previous conclusions):

    1) There are 3 free GWs 31,34,37
    2) City/Sund already need to fit in 3 extra matches so a replay would be a fourth, one of which would have to be a CL Monday. This may as well be for the replay (probably GW30).
    3) The reason Everton haven't sorted their DGW31 is that they could play Pal/Newc in GWs34/37 and a cup replay in GW31, avoiding CL Mondays (making FA/EUFA happy).
    4) In conclusion, the matches currently planned for GW31 will stand, the DGW31 for Arsenal, Swansea, Everton and Pal/Newc will only happen if Ars/Eve isn't a draw.
    5) City/Sund/Eve getting to FAcup/CL semis further complicates DGWs - details on request.

    Hope this turns out correct.

Most interesting is City getting to FA semis and CL semis (unlikely I know) - would mean a TGW37

    Route to Aguero:

Yaya to Ince this week (-4) giving me 11 with Barkley benched.

Barkley to Snodgrass next week giving me 9 (no hit)

    Benteke to Aguero for gw30

Lallana back to Yaya for gw 31 giving me 5 DGW players minimum so far.

    thoughts?

If you haven't lost a lot of value on him, it's a good transfer. Take each week as it comes - Yaya could get injured at the weekend. I've switched him out for Ince, can't have £10m sat on the bench for two weeks

Thoughts on Steven Davis instead of Snoddy for the blanks? 1.2m cheaper, playing behind the striker in more attacking team than Norwich, some set-pieces in his locker and has more FPL points in less minutes played than Snoddy. Decent form and fixtures, too.

Snodgrass is finally hitting form after threatening all season, which is good considering he is one of the few genuine FPL targets in GW29. I'm going with him and not looking back.

Interesting when you put it like that, but I'm not sure RVP on his current form is worth dropping Suarez (even assuming Suarez's conversion rate doesn't improve significantly)
