Phil Jagielka is ruled out for Everton, though Romelu Lukaku returns. Davide Santon and Hatem Ben Arfa remain sidelined through injury. Arsenal welcome back Thomas Vermaelen and Mesut Ozil. Guy Demel emerges as a doubt for West Ham, whilst Sakho and Lucas return to training for Liverpool:

Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Phil Jagielka will miss the visit of West Ham after feeling his hamstring in the last couple of days. The injury is expected to see Jagielka ruled out for “a couple of weeks”. Antolin Alcaraz will vie with John Stones to replace Jagielka, with Roberto Martinez confirming the Paraguayan is fit and “working really well.” Elsewhere, Romelu Lukaku is available again to boost the Toffees’ striking options after being ineligible to face parent club Chelsea last week.

Newcastle will again be without the injured Davide Santon and Hatem Ben Arfa when they take on Hull at the weekend. The pair have knocks and won’t be available, though Sylvain Marveaux has returned and will be in contention for the Tigers clash.

Mesut Ozil is back in the squad for Arsenal’s trip to Stoke after missing last week with a thigh problem. Thomas Vermaelen also returns after injury, but Wenger has doubts over the fitness of left-backs Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs, with the former coming off against Sunderland with a foot injury.

Sam Allardyce has revealed that defender Guy Demel has been struggling with illness after contracting a severe case of tonsillitis earlier in the week. The Hammers boss remains hopeful that the right-back will be fit to face Everton, having now returned to training. Meanwhile Andy Carroll is back in the squad following suspension, though January signing Marco Borriello continues to struggle with a calf problem.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has received a double boost with news that Mamadou Sakho and Lucas Leiva have both returned to full training following injuries. The trip to St Mary’s will come too soon for Lucas, whilst summer signing Sakho will be assessed before a final decision is made on his availability.

Victor Wanyama and Jos Hooiveld are the Saints only doubts – both will be assessed prior to the match, Mauricio Pochettino confirmed earlier today.

In last night’s European matches, Ben Davies recovered from a calf injury to start in Swansea’s loss to Napoli last night. Alex Pozuelo emerged from the bench to cement his comeback from a brief hip problem in the 3-1 defeat to Rafa Benitez’ side. Elsewhere in the Europa League, Sandro returned from a calf complaint to play 76 minutes in Tottenham’s 3-1 win over FC Dnipro.

    From sky sports

"After a gruelling trip to Istanbul in midweek, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is expected to make changes for the match.

Fernando Torres, Ramires and Andre Schurrle all came into the side at Galatasaray - but it remains to be seen which, if any, retain their places.

Gary Cahill and John Terry have been carrying injuries in recent weeks, and Mourinho may look to rest one of them.

David Luiz missed the midweek clash and he is still carrying a muscle problem."

As a United fan, I'm beginning to believe that we'd be better off without Rooney in the squad. We focus so much of our game around him - but he isn't the spark we need any more. Adapting our play around him means we're playing other players out of position and it also means we're stuck in that stupid 4-4-2 system.

I really want to see what happens when RvP, Januzaj, Kagawa and Mata all play on a pitch together without Rooney in the equation. I think the results would be explosive.

I'm also not Rooney's greatest fan, but he appeared the catalyst to making United look anything of a threat midweek when in the 80th minute he dropped deep to start spraying passes about and making things happen.

RVP looked well out of sorts and his post match comments don't help. He's looking and talking like he did in his moody Arsenal days - outworking into form/injury issues too.

I guess it could be asked whether RVP and Rooney are truly team players. Looks like in the next 6-12 months with the challenges ahead we're probably about to see.

      Its too hard

You have Snod/Adam/Ince as a few mentioned. Steven Davies maybe? Or a cheap punt maybe Redmond or Degjaga.

Almost impossible to find a nailed on Spurs mid. Is Oscar going to be fit?

I'll need to -4 now if I'm going to field 11 as I've brought Cech in to get a keeper playing (and get his good fixtures till WC in GW31). So I may end up swapping Kos out instead and try and find a better defender rather than mid option - easier I think...

Why? He plays the worst defence in the league at home and is on fire.

I suggest a bit of forward planning then. Only 5 games the following week so I would get Silva out as hes missing 2 gameweeks. Who for is the harder question.

Get Azpi now or Man City defender (most likely Kolarov) for GW30? Kolarov would have one more game than Azpi if I get Azpi for this GW. That´s my dilemma at the moment. Figure Kolarov plays against the easier opponents, and is certainly a bigger goal threat. It´s just that Azpi might get more minutes even if Kolarov potentially has one more game in hand. What would you do?

I would anyway get either one of them for a player who doesn´t have a game in GW29. Otherwise I would just play my current player (Bruce or Kosc) in GW29 and not have the dilemma as then Kolarov would have two more games than Azpi...

... you know... because either Bruce or Kosc don´t play in GW29 haha! Is this comprehensible?!? 😀

I really need to drop Dzeko now.

Who would you go for out of Lambert, Rodriguez, Jelevic, Bony, Lukaku, Crouch

If you had to choose between Ince and Snodgrass to transfer into your team for the next 3 weeks, who would you choose, and why?
