There’s no getting away from it, Granville and I are nothing short of bitter middle aged, middle of the table Fantasy managers. This week’s ScoutCast is a vitriol-filled slab of double Gameweek failure, inspired by Yaya Toure’s relentless point scoring and our stubborn reluctance to recruit his talents.

Of course, in between skinning our sour grapes, Granville and I dabble with the podcast regulars, whilst responding to another round of community posers including a lookey-likey query that smiles kindly on my co-host and has me recounting the tale of my very own office doppleganger.

Wallow in self pity via this link or look on the bright side via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

One of my favourite goals of the season, Sturridge winner over Villa. Maximum control and composure. Excellent decision making. The kind of stuff that set apart those who can make it at the top level, from those who were just playground flat track bullies.

prefer that goal to his 1st. think the 1st is a goal you could get close to scoring if you were given 10 attempted where he got it. the 3rd goal i don't think you could put a number on how many attempts you'd need from where he got it

Just been looking at some stats for this season:

Man City are 2nd for Clean Sheets (Joint 2nd with 13),
Man City are 2nd best for games in which they failed to score (4 games),
Man City are 2nd for Goals Scored (79),
Man City are 2nd for Goals Conceded (27).

Not the best in any but consistent! If you compare to Chelsea and Liverpool:

Chelsea are 1st for Clean Sheets (14),
Chelsea are 4th best for games in which they failed to score (6 games),
Chelsea are 3rd for Goals Scored (62),
Chelsea are 1st for Goals Conceded (23).

Liverpool are 5th for Clean Sheets (Joint 5th with 9),
Liverpool are 1st for games in which they failed to score (2 games),
Liverpool are 1st for Goals Scored (84),
Liverpool are 6th for Goals Conceded (Joint 6th with 39).

Think it shows that Man City & Chelsea are in a better place to win the league due to their defense.

Liverpool's attack is better but you still get the same amount of points for a 1-0 win as you do for a 4-0 win.

However if Liverpool continue with the we'll score more than you do who to say they can't win the league with the worst defense of the 3.

Enter Michu, and if you break him too I'm not above getting Walcott, Bale or even Van Der Vaart if I can figure out how to procure his services...

Sturridge I think, Suarez seems to win through sheer weight of shots, though quite a few are from further out and thus more difficult to score.

Tough one. I think the stats would be misleading anyways. Suarez creates so much and takes pop shots from all over. Sturridge does seem to tuck his chances away nicely though.

The quality of Sturridge's finishes have been better than Suarez this season, imo. Especially on-on-one.
Remarkable improvement for Sturridge. Rodgers has to be a factor in that. Not actual coaching skills, as Sturridge is obviously a gifted player being played out of position at Chelsea.
But man management -- Rodgers has brought the best out of him, no doubt.
      Laissez Faire management FTW.

The WC was all about GW29 and GW31 (with a view to later DGW). I'd say it netted me 25-30pts so more than happy with that. I still keep an eye on the LMS score and shake my fist at Hazard and his 21pts 😀

Has anyone got the weekly clean sheet odds that are normally sticky-ed?

I think they are percentages from one of the betting websites.

      Much appreciated. 🙂

part of a bigger plan though. want to do lukaku to aguero when he's back and need to drum up the cash. lokos like it will involve hazard out to someone also, but not yet.

so basically need to sell kos for someone as cheap as possible this week or next.

C -- the high performing security of Gerrard, Lukaku and Rooney is as even as the rotation risk of Dzeko, Mirallas, Barkley so the moves offset each other. Save the FT imo.
