There’s no getting away from it, Granville and I are nothing short of bitter middle aged, middle of the table Fantasy managers. This week’s ScoutCast is a vitriol-filled slab of double Gameweek failure, inspired by Yaya Toure’s relentless point scoring and our stubborn reluctance to recruit his talents.

Of course, in between skinning our sour grapes, Granville and I dabble with the podcast regulars, whilst responding to another round of community posers including a lookey-likey query that smiles kindly on my co-host and has me recounting the tale of my very own office doppleganger.

    Evening FFScouters.

    Little dilemma over here. Front 8 is:

    Lallana / Toure / Nasri / Gerrard / Hazard
    Suarez / Studge / Lukaka

    I need to bench one. Catching up at top of mini league rival. He has Hazard. I'm thinking of benching him this week as I think Crystal Pulis will concede few goals. It's him or Nasri for my bench I think. Thoughts?

    TV £115, hence the big players. Defence good too before start slagging me off! 🙂

    Is Puncheon to Barkley a sideway move? Both have dgw, but with only 0.2 difference in price, the latter seems to have more upside potential

    Nothing to do with being injury prone...Fell booted him on the ankle in the first half and he went down but the commentator just passed over it. Now all I need is for Zaba to be crocked from a reaction to the same thug..Is this how far United have fallen?...Is Fellaini the way forward..seems so.

      Fellaini *groans* aside from the odd bit of thuggery the game on Tuesday just totally passed him by.

      I remember some dude with a giant afro totally dominating Yaya last season for Everton. I wonder what happened to that guy

      I honestly think they really decided to go by plan B: "if you can't beat them, kick them", trying to injure them as they had no other way to win. Really nasty. Fell should have got 2 red cards. At least. And I actually like him.

        He really is a piece of work. If they want to try and progress by signing thugs like that, as oppose to winning with style, then they deserve to be exactly where they are...No wonder Mata is struggling playing alongside that sort of gameplan.

        He was never worth 28.4 million, or whatever the case was, IMO. A poor decision by Moyes to bring him with him to United, in my eyes.

    B)McGregor to Mannone

    C)Nolan and McGregor to Johnson and Marshall (Marshall got some nice fixtures,and for gameweek 33 my only gk will be Boruc with away Man City game :\)

    Only had Silva for 2 GWS,will be waiting for more news on this injury tomorrow,does Pellegrini normally do the Friday pressers lads ? Don't want to be taking any hits this week but if Silva is out i may be forced too,not got the strongest of benches tbf

    Rooney hasn't scored more than 2 points at Old Trafford since Christmas, he has great fixtures in GW 37 but they're both home games, I might do Rooney -> Aguero before GW 34.

          For GW36 and 37 I'd want a United defender. If you take out the 2 3-0 humblings we have kpet 5 CS in 7 )5 in 9 if you include them) we are getting better at shutting the smaller teams out.

      1 looks good, but barkers is still a rotation risk, i guess a cheap one so youd have to ensure decent bench

        I think I need 3EVE for the DGW, have Lukaku and Coleman as it is. Think with Mirallas not nailed on, Barkley is worth a go. May not be nailed on but is cheaper so it is less expensive mistake.

      Barkley not nailed. Save this week and see if Eriksen plays. If he's starting regularly he's a better pick that most mids with DG. Everton mids bar Barry seems to be subject to rotation.

    Now my team isn't terrible and I have done pretty well for my first season but I just want to ask the community: what do you do as season winds down? I feel that the prices have settled and that the essential players are unattainable whilst the transfers that I am able to do are quite pointless and so I have found that for the past couple of weeks I have been tinkering with possible transfers but actually doing or committing to nothing. I am not really sure how to better my team or how to go about improving my position as I feel quite limited by the team that I already have coupled with high prices. This is probably a silly question but I was just interested to hear any possible tactics that people could suggest for someone who feels that their team has stagnated. Thanks.

        That would be awesome. Like I said I have a good team but I just don't know where to move to to potentially improve my position. Being my first season I also just want to learn some techniques for next season to.

      id target key gws or runs of gws and look at likely players youd want for them and then find a way of funding the moves ahead of time (rather than take a huge hit in one week)... the ticker is v useful for this. youl find ways of gettin in even expensive players if you want em badly enough

      Some quite avg players can do really well given good fixtures...Any player with good stats and a good run of games (in particular against leaky defences) is worth going for even if cheap...Snodgrass and Puncheon being good examples....They even give the top players a run for their money at times..in fact better sometimes.

    Cameron (4.9) nailed on, more attacking the Wilson.

    Pieters (4.8) same as Cameron.

    Wilson (4.3) less attacking, less nailed on but cheaper

    (B) Adrian, Shaw, Cahill, Lallana, Dzeko

    Can upgrade Mutch to a 7.8m MD for -4. Unfortunately 0.1m short of Lallana.
