Sunday focuses on the ambitions of the Merseyside pair, as Everton look to close in on fourth place with a win over Arsenal at Goodison, while Liverpool seek to extend their run of victories to nine by clawing back top spot with the points at West Ham.

Arsenal take on the Toffees having won just once in five matches, while Roberto Martinez’s outfit have five straight wins, putting them just four points behind the Gunners with a game in hand. Sunday’s clash is perfectly poised, then, with Fantasy managers looking to a host of Everton options ahead of their double Gameweek to come.

Later today, Luis Suarez will face up to a West Ham defence with the majority backing the Uruguayan with the armband. His potential haul looks pivotal to our Gameweek fortunes again, with the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Steven Gerrard providing an able supporting cast at the Boleyn Ground.

Our Twitter feed will bring you all the news from today’s teamsheets, while the Dugout Discussion chatroom is open to accompany you right through to the final whistle in East London.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

¨Wenger has lost the plot. When Walcott got injured he bought nobody and Kallstrom.

If we bought a good player we could have challenged.

Wouldn´t be surprised if we lose FA cup

Yes and no. Panic buying can ruin the future. Lets just hang and wait and hope like hell there will be big and calculated spending for next season. Instant gratification is only the prerogative of huge spending clubs like Mc or Chelsea. Can join them if you not happy ?

That is so no true, though. Sagna has some stunning crosses, even though the quality is variable at times. Really good at slipping it in low between the keeper and backline.

Reasons I might go with a double Man City defence for the rest of the season (Hart + a defender) with one MID:

    FIXTURES AND DEFENSIVE FORM
-Their fixtures are very promising: liv+SUN (DGW), WBA, cpa, eve+AVL (DGW) WHM
-Before their last 2 games they kept 5 clean sheets.
-Everton's fixtures are pretty horrible after the DGW (UTD, sou, CITY, hul) so why keep an EVE defender?

    LACK OF CERTAIN STARTERS UPFRONT
-Aguero is happy to not rush his recovery before the world cup
-Aguero might not be ready for DGW 34 and even if he is he may only pay 1 game max
-Dzeko's gametime may be affected by Aguero coming back
-Negredo and Jovetic both coming back on the fringe possibly taking away Dzeko gametime

why 1 city def is more than enough

      1) if u have double city def this week it means u are less likely to benefit from the everton def..and after dgw manu def is worth a shout tgt w chelsea thus reducing the need for double city def

      2) city are high scoring team and defenders are less likely to get the full 3bps

      3) not having a city striker will mean that u have to stick w SS through the tough fixtures..and benteke injury make it lesser options..and like u sae city has good fix..kun will score..and even double up yaya and silva would have more points imo

      4) mannone is good enough to play in GK instead of hart..lots of save points

in short there are alot of decent choices in defences..but not as much in mid and attack..u will really want to use city to fill up those slots

        • 12 Years

        1) I would only have 1 CITY defender this week. would then drop coleman for another after the double

        2) Pardon the pun but baps really are just a bonus for defenders

        3) But now Aguero looks to be nearly ready there are no decent options that are nailed on

        4) Although he may make alot of saves, sunderland are going to be fighting for their lives and will concede

haha u make a point there but doubling up on chelsea def or even utd defenders could have done the trick imo and free up the city spots where u can use it on attack. and chances are chelsea or manu def may earn bonus points in the process..so at least i will have 2 city mid+ 1 city def

All these plastic Arsenal fans... It's not Wenger to blame for the loss, it's the players.

      1) Arteta is too old and slow to cope with counter-attacking teams.
      2) Our great build up play usually leads to nothing because we don't have a nimble Suarez/Aguero/Sturridge type striker to make runs in behind, which leads to:
      3) Giroud is absolutely abysmal. Worst player. I'm not saying this because I'm mad, I've been saying it all along. Makes the worst runs, all he's good for is hold up play (which is useless 99% of the time)

I could go on but I'll just relax and watch the Pool game 🙂

But mid season what's he supposed to do? Half his team is injured...

He bought Ozil who was a great signing, but we don;t have a striker to run in behind onto his beautiful through balls... 🙂

Well that's his problem fail to prepare, prepare to fail.

The only option other than Giroud is Sanogo lol

And looking at today's game he could have started Oxlade and Ramsey.

I would say plenty will disagree that Ozil was a great signing - me included.

        1) Yet Wenger still plays him and hasn't looked to replace him.
        2) Yet Wenger still plays that style despite it clearly being ineffective.
        3) Yet Wenger signed him and having seen how poor he is chooses to remain with him and not sign another player.

The players have been crap but Wenger's management has been weak too.

It's Arteta's fault that he is " too old"???? Wrong.

Arteta isn't a defensive mid fieldser and it's foolish to expect him to play as one. For the job that is asked of him he does alright.
Walcott is missed very much so, without him in the team Arsenal struggle to break through.
Giroud adds a much needed physicality to this Arsenal side, but a decent alternative is needed.

To be honest I think you're being equally as reactionary as these 'plastic fans' you mentioned.
