Emmanuel Adebayor bags a brace upon his return from injury as Spurs sweep aside sorry Sunderland. Christian Eriksen also runs riot with a goal and two assists, whilst Harry Kane turns in an impressive display on his first league start for the north London outfit:

Eriksen Tames the Black Cats
The Dane served up his second successive double-figure haul at White Hart Lane with another inspirational left-flank display last night. Eriksen’s last home game delivered 18 points against Southampton and he almost repeated the feat with a goal, two assists and maximum bonus helping him accrue 15 points in a comprehensive win over the basement-dwellers. Fielded on the left of a 4-3-1-2, with Nacer Chadli handed the central role behind a front two, the 4%-owned Eriksen made a mockery of his 6.6 price-tag and rewarded the 33,000+ Fantasy managers who snapped him up prior to the weekend deadline. Up next is a trip to West Brom, a side Eriksen has already produced a goal and maximum bonus against earlier this season, and with Fulham, West Ham, Stoke and Villa still to follow, his schedule suggests further investment is on the cards.

Adebayor Back with a Bang
Having missed the previous two Gameweeks with a heel injury, the Tottenham forward announced his return in style last night. Adebayor had dropped to less than 5% ownership but proved himself to be a vital differential by notching twice against Gus Poyet’s strugglers and delivering a 13 point return – he has now averaged 6.7 points per game in 15 outings under Tim Sherwood. Certainly, with double Gameweek forwards the main objects of our attentions this week, Adebayor may find it difficult to earn a space in our three-man frontlines, though a home game with Fulham in Gameweek 35 could well see the bandwagon pick up speed again.

Kane Vindicates Sherwood’s Show of Faith
With plenty of rumours flying around that Sherwood is set to be dismissed after the end of the season, the Spurs boss was in defiant mood prior to last night’s match. Sherwood is adamant his plans for the team won’t be influence by outside pressure, and with Roberto Soldado injured, he handed Harry Kane his first league start for the north London outfit. Whilst Eriksen and Adebayor understandably hogged the headlines, Kane marked his debut with a goal and, priced at just 4.4, could be a bargain if Sherwood retains him in the starting XI from here on in.

Johnson Returns to the Sunderland Starting XI
Having grabbed a goal and assist in his last two appearances as a sub, the midfielder’s owners were relieved to see him back in the Sunderland first-team for last night’s trip to the Lane. Johnson was moved to the role in “the hole” behind Fabio Borini in a 3-5-1-1 formation but, ironically, despite Poyet finally affording him the full 90 minutes, he failed to make any impact in a demoralising defeat. Considering he now has a double, Johnson’s owners will surely retain his services given that he’s back in Poyet’s plans, but bearing in mind next week’s matches are against in-form Everton and City, and with a game against Chelsea directly after, would-be suitors may wait until Gameweek 36 to assess his form – Sunderland than have a trio of home fixtures in the final three rounds of matches, including a double Gameweek 37.

Black Cats’ Resilience Slipping
Last night’s 5-1 mauling means Sunderland have now mustered a single clean sheet in their last seven matches in a run that has seen them concede 17 goals. At the back, John O’Shea was surprisingly dropped, Phil Bardsley and Marcos Alonso were again handed the wing-back roles before Poyet reverted to a 4-4-2 late on in a vain attempt to claw back the deficit, whilst Vito Mannone’s saves ensured he still ended the evening on two points, in spite of the heavy defeat. Palace, Everton and City all approach the double in fine form but Sunderland’s season goes from bad to worse, with last night’s display perhaps causing many Fantasy managers to think twice over drafting in the Wearsiders right now.

There can't be much more penalties left for Pool this season. This is getting ridiculous. At some point refs must wake up and remember "wait... these Liverpool forwards always used to dive, and hey, they're still doing it!"

Hah! Yeah. Except there, too, have been handballs that would not have been called in many other games. you know, the player should be playing the ball with hand, not to have a ball kicked to his still hand from one meter.

Considering RVP doesn't return before DGW 37 I've come up with this idea.

If United beats Bayern then Mata should be our United player of the choice for DGW. If United fails to qualify for SF then it should be Rooney.

They're all injured in some way or another, but all 3 should play some part.

Yaya will play the most, then Silva, then Aguero.

Yaya should be grand, haven't heard much about it though.

Silva has been playing with a slight ankle injury but he's been getting minutes so why stop now, he was taken off after like 75 minutes the last day and they were comfortable so he could have been taken off earlier if needed.

Aguero is notoriously injury prone, and has the WC to worry about, and Pelle won't want him injured again for the run in. He won't play 180 minutes, he might start vs Liverpool or come on as a sub and do the opposite against Sunderland.

Well. The thing is. I know all that too. I'm just not at all assured about the minutes. And that is driving me absolutely mad! I'm eager to make my weekend transfers, but feel that they will backfire badly if I choose the wrong players now.

I own both Yaya and Silva and have to offload one to get Aguero, if I get him. But I won't if he is injured. I'm going to rip my fecking head off soon - Pelle, save a man's life and tell me how are your players doing!

Worth doubling up short-term with Mariappa? Have Baines, Coleman, Ivanovic.
Or plan for further ahead with a DF with kinder run in?
Baines or Coleman will make way to help get Rooney in.

can see logic of double for this week, but if it doesnt pay off you may end up shipping one for another hit.
with talk about silva injury and chances of three games in 9 days i would maybe look at nasri as alternative.

      Kolarov to Baines is good.
Gerrard to Silva is dodgy but probably good.

The only thing is, you'll want Evra instead of Coleman for the run in.. But Coleman should score enough this week to cover that transfer again.

If you're making a -12, it has to be for players that you expect to do well over the next few gameweeks at least, Silva and Eriksen will do that, and Coleman/Baines are justified by an awesome DGW and the fact that Kolarov and Evra are both rotation risks.

I never said it would cover Aggy though... Nobody can cover Aguero if he hits the ground running, we'll all have to suck it up and get him in for the last few games, but that's a big IF. He will more than likely do very little over the dgw.

My main rival has both, I only have Coleman (already have Coleman made the transfer monday)
Also if no aggy I want 3 attack city players who are going to play all.

experience is what counts at this tourney, so if you look for someone like cabrera who has good record here and sits 33-1 upwards then an EW with paddy i think is top 7 places this year.
alternative is look at their price for top ten finish and see if it comes close to the EW odds

Going to do Gerrard to one of these 3.

I have doubts about all three of these midfielders but know I want one of them

Ramsey - Arsenal have been really poor recently and I don't know if he will recapture his form.

Eriksen - On form and has nice fixtures but has been at risk of rotation.
