There’s bad news and good news. Maybe. The bad news is that there’s no ScoutCast scheduled for this week. On the flipside, that’s because we’ve decided to take on a new approach which offers a new way to “enjoy” the weekly get-together with myself, Granville and any guests we persuade/cajole into joining us on air.

The ScoutCast is going live.

From next week we will be using Google Hangouts to stream the ScoutCast recording live. You’ll be able to tune in to the session and have the pleasure of seeing Granville and myself in our humble abodes and you’ll be able to interact live with us, during the recording, with Jonty joining us to fire us your questions and reactions.

If you can’t join us on the night, you’ll be able to download or view the ScoutCast Hangout shortly after the recording and, as usual, we’ll be publishing an edited version, in the usual mp3 format as a podcast, on Thursday evenings.

It will take time for us to adjust to this brave new world. The live stream will expose us, warts and all, to you the listener/viewer, but that’s a risk we’re prepared to take to improve interactivity and take the ScoutCast forward. Besides, with my current rank, I’m at rock bottom with nothing to lose.

Jonty will be setting up Hot Topics and a Twitter hashtag and, when our new live comments system is up and running (it’s looking good by the way), we’ll be embedding the live stream in this and you’ll be able to interact with us in real-time.

As well as Jonty’s return, we’ll be trying to bring in special guests on a weekly basis and we’ve already lined up the first victim for the opening show.

We’ll bring you more details on all this in the days to come and, if you want to be kept in the loop and get involved on the night, we recommend that you follow us on Google+ or Twitter to get the latest news and subscribe to our new YouTube channel, where all our ScoutCasts will be published from here on in.

If all goes to plan, we’ll see you, or rather, you’ll being seeing us, next Wednesday evening.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

between Eriksen and Ramsey, Eriksen is the right choice?
Eriksen hitting form now but Ramsey may need a while... Ramsey's form was tailing off before his injury and imo he's the type of player who needs those around him to be playing well - he did well when Arsenal had more confidence.
In short Eriksen ahead of Ramsey?

Forgive me - I don't watch much Bundesliga.

Will this new "Philipp Lahm-esque role" for Leighton Baines have a positive or negative effect on his fantasy output?

Am I right in saying that he'll be played as a defensive midfielder? I see that Lahm has scored 1 goal in 42 matches this season. Does he get forward much? Does he assist many?

To me, it looks like us Baines owners have drawn the short straw this week. We certainly shouldn't be captaining him for the double gameweek - Coleman, Mirallas or Lukaku would all be much better choices.

Have I got this completely wrong?

Referring to what was written in today's "SAY WHAT?" article...

        http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2014/04/10/say-what-gameweek-33/

Everton’s Leighton Baines could be set for a change of position in the future as manager Roberto Martinez ponders a potential Philipp Lahm-esque role for the left-back. With a double against relegation battlers Sunderland and Crystal Palace on the Gameweek 34 schedule, it will be interesting to see if Martinez uses the opportunity to experiment with his in-form and settled back four.

“Like Lahm, Leighton doesn’t give the ball away, he’s got a very low centre of gravity and technically he is as good as it gets. When you have that control of the ball and have been such a good defender, and as a left-back you have to be very good on one-v-one situations, it is very important to have that defensive mindset in those midfield areas. That is important for defensive balance. As a player Leighton has been through so many different experiences and has always found a way to rise to new challenges in his career. I am convinced he can step up to a new challenge. You need to look at the physicality and he is a naturally fit boy so can easily go into the role. He can be more expansive in central midfield than in his left back role. That’s why I wanted him to see it first hand.”

Everton’s Roberto Martinez continuing to explore opportunities to develop players within his squad.

Aguero is obviously one of the top players in the BPL, but Im still surprised about almost everyone thinking that as long as he plays, he will explode. My reason for saying that is obviously that he´s been out for some time now, and it will probably take some time for him to back back in it. Also, form is extremely important for him, as his key capabilities is explosiveness - and therefore, form is a big factor.

It might be be cause Aguero has the best minutes/goal ratio in Premier League history. He just hardly can get on the pitch without scoring. And assists a lot too. And leads a team that scores for fun in any case. He has always been injured once a while and when he comes back he just goes straight back to business and scores some goals.

Yeah. To me the problem is that with Hazard injury, I spent one transfer there, I would have to take a hit because I already have 3 City players, so I would have to move one out and then do Studge -> Aguero, and I'm not at all sure that Aguero + any non-city midfielder will score 4 more than, say, Silva and Studge.

I hope I didn't make a mistake with Hazard. I figured it out that if they waste a substitution at 17 minutes to get their best player out in that important match, when they need to win by 2 or more, then he really must be injured. Even if he would play, he just could not be at his best. And if he's playing at 80% or something, with Chelsea's lack of strikers, and knowing that he will most certainly be rested for CL matches, his attacking returns don't promise to be that good even if he plays.

But if I'm wrong I really screwed it up, because I had bought him for 9.1 and cannot buy him back now.

Yaya 2 vs Liv and 2 vs Sun

I'm considering - the advantage of Stones vs. Baines (or COleman, but have him) is that you needn't transfer him out gain for a FT - just keep him benched as 5th defender. But for me it would be for a hit, replacing Chambers who may also get a clean sheet
