good point regarding spurs, will they still be up for it now top 4 looks out of reach? lessens FPL appeal of eriksen/ade i think
Open Controls-
it might mean they are playing for their futures. Also they are playing for the manager
Adebayor in particular owes alot to sherwood. He will go out there and put in a performance for him no matter what.Open Controls-
No he won't
Open Controls

Still think they could be dangerous, no pressure etc
Open Controls

So contrary to what some say 'don't capt a defender' Baines has started ok for me as a punt to close a gap in ML
Open Controls-
Silly rule. Just don't captain him when he's not going to score loads of points. Same rule for all players.
Open Controls-
Rule?
Open Controls -
I fancy two cleanies for him, surely at least an assist and a bap or two then double it!
Open Controls-
A goal and/or assist never out of the question either.

Who will be the new Arsenal manager? Got a sneaky feeling Louis Van Gaal might be tempted

He might be tempted you know. No Lukaku next year plus will that squad be able to cope with Europe.

Random question, but whatever happened to Lamella?
Open Controls-
Getting used to the country this year. Goes on tours visiting a new county every week. Once he is British enough he will start to play
Open Controls -

Yeah I dunno. I know he's had some injuries but even when he was fit he never got much burn. It seems crazy given his reputation (Although I admit my knowledge of him is limited to punditry, youtube and FIFA...)

Robert Snodgrass: Long time owner, first time caller.
I think it's the hope that kills you. Every time Jeff cuts to Chris, it was 'Snodgrass had just hit the crossbar' 'missed a tap in by a whisker' etc
Sounded dangerous though. I know every one is writing them off with the last 4 games but they are still in a fighting chance. I have other fires to fight first but worth keeping for Pool?
What are other peeps doing?Open Controls-

Think I might do the same.
I have Mutch that can come in. Probably have to sort Gerrard if he gets another yellow.Open Controls

i would lose him. puncheon in maybe
Open Controls -
I wouldn't keep him for the next 4. Wouldn't surprise me if Norwich didn't score in any of them, let alone Snodgrass.
Open Controls-
Nope, it would only be for next week. He's gone after that.
Open Controls

He's been good for me, got him in before the spurs game when he scored. Plan was always to get rid after this GW, only thing that soured it for me was he picked up a few annoying bookings

Sideways transfer to A. Johnson after Snodgrass' game v. Liverpool.

Alternatively i could do Mirallas -> Mata one week early and keep a weak bench.Open Controls-

Manone
Baines Coleman Cahill ward Flanagan
Worth doing a hit this week for either

35 points from 8 so far, with effectively 9 Including Yaya captain x2 still to go. Not vintage, but solid in a low-scoring week (Ward and Puncheon heroes so far).
Only decision I'm unhappy about is not getting Aguero in this morning for Sturridge and playing Llallana and Fonte - but there's a fair amount of hindsight there (was convinced Southampton were going to rollover Cardiff this morning).
Reasons for not bringing Aguero in:
i) Game time question mark
ii) Can't see many goals in the Liverpool game - (although on reflection Sunderland could be a cricket score I suppose)
iii) Re-injury potential (got bitten by that one last time)
iv) Would've required a 4 point hit
v) Fact I had Yaya & Silva, Puncheon (DGW), Barkley (DGW) and LLallana (nailed on for points surely today) plus Suarez and Lukaku up front meant I didn't know who to drop for him
We'll start to see 2moro how much I come to rue that decision of course.Open Controls-
-
soul cleansing
Open Controls -
Fair point actually, I think I had a question when I started writing but I lost sight of it.
Been fretting about Aguero decision all day. For some reason I'm convinced it'll be 1-1 tomorrow.Open Controls-
I think you may be right...I have Aguero(c) and may yet wish I had Lukaku(c)
Open Controls-
Aguero signing + captain is brave tactic and could pay off HUGE as it's ended up a bit of a differential. If I was chasing rather than defending a lead I'd probably have been tempted to take the hit and go for it too, I'd actually planned on the Studge to Aguero move until Hazard got crocked.
Open Controls
-
-
Giving us his thoughts...and the problem with that is?
Open Controls-
Wakey I'd be interested in your five point plan to a better overall rank...
Open Controls-
If I had one it would be to take no hits...pick nailed on players...Pick three mids with the most touches in the penalty area (Hazard, Lala, Silva) plus two of the top set piece taker mids (Cabaye, Gerrard, Eriksen)...Is that five?...Yeah...etc etc...As it is I'm not that bothered and prefer to take masses of hits and even pick players just to watch on a Sunday afternoon.

Hey I'm in same boat with Aguero.
If he does something this week then great and I'll have him next week.
If he gets injured then we are better off.
Can't see him playing a full game this week.
He barely played a full game when he was fully fitOpen Controls -
I didn't get Aguero in either as didn't want to lose Sturridge against his old clubs and Norwich.
And Lukaku looked like he would tear it up today. He's out next week, regardless of how he does against Palace.Open Controls
-
-
Mystified by RM today. he really seemed to hit a high note with last weeks team and set up and then he goes and tinkers around...Got a win of course but was it as convincing?...Why does he chop and change so much?
Open Controls-
he believes it is the way to avoid injuries and the way to keep up his high intensity, high possession philosophy
Open Controls-
Do you agree?...I've always felt the benefits of a settled team outweigh some of those other ideas...Two schools of thought I suppose.
Open Controls-
hard to argue with him. not many injuries in the squad and they all seem pretty fresh. he keeps the back 4 settled which is vital but I think rotating the mids is fair enough
Open Controls-
It's the opposite of Liverpool really..they rotate a bit (mainly Coutinho and Sterling) but really is quite minimal for a club in the position they are, most of their rotations are enforced through injuries.
Open Controls-
true, although i think if BR had more decent options he would rotate a bit more. aspas and co. have disappointed
Open Controls-
Very true
Open Controls
-
Liverpool have been helped by the lack of European football. Helps players recover form the little knocks that might otherwise see them miss a weekend game. Martinez has used rotation and has, for the most part, avoided injuries. But it can also not be overstated how much the lack of injuries has helped Liverpool. Will be interesting to see how much effect CL football has on this
Open Controls-
They have been helped by that for sure JKI..Oddly one of the teams who have had most involvement in multi competitions has actually used fewer players than any other team in the prem this season...Can you guess who?
Open Controls-
my guess would be Arsenal
Open Controls
-
-
I think this is a bit off. They have dealt with lengthy absences from Sturridge as well as Lucas not to mention Enrique basically not playing all year. BR has dealt with injuries to their back line all year. Liverpool have had their fair share of injuries on top of those 8 games missed from Suarez at the beginning of the year. He's overcome his share of adversity and deserves to be lauded for his job well done in my opinion.
Open Controls-
still only 3 major injuries
think about how many games Silva, Aguero, Kompany have missed for City. Ozil, Cazorla, Walcott for Arsenal.Open Controls-
I agree with your point I am just saying Liverpool have dealt with some significant injuries too!
Open Controls-
-
http://injuryleague.com/injury-league/
This is normally a good indication. Arsenal and United are normally battling out each season for top spot.Open Controls

-
-
-
-
Not too sure. After the performance against Arsenal I thought Barkley would have kept his place. Unforgivable if they had dropped points today at a team who are basically down.
Hard to argue with RM and perhaps he's trying to keep them fresh for the Palace, Soton and City games.Open Controls

Are these players sufficient for DGW37, or are there more on your watchlist?
Im aiming to have these all without a hit.
Already have:
Mannone, AJ
Silva, YYT, Aguero
Chester
Want to get:
Evra, Rooney (if fit)
Bertrand
Meyler
What do you think?Open Controls-
what about Mata? if rooney's out he should be able to play in position
Open Controls-
Dont think i have a place for Mata in midfield. Erik, Silva, YYT, AJ and Noone.
Open Controls-
Ah, tricky then. I'll prob lose Silva from my midfield as I'll likely be getting Aguero as my 3rd City player (already got Zaba and Yaya). Rooney probably the best shout for Utd for you then, if as you say he is fit and maybe depending if RVP is back or not and see where Rooney is playing.

snod to mata this week?
Open Controls-
Everton away not the most promising
Open Controls
-
So I did playon for first time today and currently sit 2nd in £1000 league. This is obv great but with just aguero left do I have much chance of staying there abouts!? Other teams at a quick look all seem to have Suarez and willian to come for example, as well as aguero. Not bragging just curious, as it's first week playing.
Open Controls -
Current midfield is below and I want rid of snodgrass and hazard (depending on hazards fitness). Not many mids calling out to me at the mo apart from mata and schurlle really. Anyone have any others worth consideration?
Snodgrass hazard punch Eriksen yayaOpen Controls-

Ramsey?
Open Controls-
Needs to start showing some form but time is running out JKIT1
Open Controls-
short of the obvious Mata or Chelsea options there aren't a lot of solid looking options.
Open Controls-
Yeah Mata coming good now and the DGW could sway the decision
Open Controls-
I'm still cautious on Mata. It depends on our striker situation. His hauls have comer playing in the hole. If both Rooney and RvP will be fit for DGW then Mata will be shunted wide again and ceases to be an option. If just one, or neither, is fit, he's worth having
Open Controls-
Yep good analysis
