PlayON, the weekly Fantasy Football game, is rolling out a mini-Gameweek over the next couple of days. This comprises of the three fixtures taking place over Tuesday and Wednesday, and with three of the top five all set to face favourable home matches, we scour the PlayON Price List for potential bargains:

There is a £500 GUARANTEED pot on offer for the mini-gameweek – you can enter your team on the multiplayer page here.

If you’re new to PlayON, it is weekly Fantasy Football so you can dip in and out of playing throughout the season. Once your starting XI is built, you can compete for cash. You can challenge other players to one-on-one games, selecting the amount at stake. The likes of Robbie Fowler, Les Ferdinand and OptaJoe are all playing the game and are there to be challenged for free or for £1. The Fantasy Football Scout team is also available to be challenged and has a 52% win rate up to this point. You can also create an open challenge against anyone else on the site – just click the amount you want to play for and the number of slots (number of people who can accept your challenge) on the one-on-one page .

For a more in-depth introduction to PlayON, take a look at this season’s introduction article.

Goalkeeper – Wojciech Szczesny
The Arsenal number one sets you back just 7.1m for this evening’s home game against West Ham. Arsene Wenger’s side have conceded just 10 times in front of their own fans this term, and bearing in mind the Hammers have mustered a mere 14 goals on their travels, a home shut-out could be on the cards. Coming in at 9.4m, City’s Joe Hart is relatively budget friendly for a home showdown with a Sunderland side that has found the net only four times in their last eight league matches.

Defender – Per Mertesacker
Once again, the Arsenal defence looks superb value for their home encounter with Sam Allardyce’s side. Mertesacker was in the goals in last weekend’s FA Cup win over Wigan and will be looking for his third league strike of the season later this evening – he can be acquired for only 7.8m in the PlayON Player Price List. With doubts over the Man City left-back berth and Vincent Kompany looking less than 100% against Liverpool on Sunday, we opt for Pablo Zabaleta (9.9m) as the safest route into Manuel Pellegrini’s backline at home to Sunderland, whilst six-goal Seamus Coleman, at 10.0m, is the cheapest of Everton’s back-four to face Palace at Goodison.

Midfielder – David Silva
City’s playmaker is arguably turning in his most impressive displays of the season ahead of a home game against struggling Sunderland. The Black Cats have managed a single clean sheet in eight, and with Manuel Pellegrini’s side scoring nine times in their last two matches at the Etihad, it could be a long night for the visitors. With three goals in his last six, Silva – available for 10.3m – looks poised to wreak havoc tomorrow evening as City attempt to bounce back from their loss at Liverpool. Elsewhere, Aaron Ramsey costs just 7.0m for the Gunners’ clash with West Ham. The Welshman was reported to be a slight doubt by Arsene Wenger in yesterday morning’s press conference but has since been pictured in training and is expected to return for tonight’s crucial match as the Gunners look to get their bid for a fourth place finish back on track. Finally, Gareth Barry (9.4m) offers a reliable route into Everton’s midfield. Whilst other options may be more explosive, Barry’s consistency of starts and deep-lying role has earned him 500+ points in four of his last five appearances, with the PlayON Scoring Matrix suited to his style of play.

Forward – Sergio Aguero
The Argentine will be hoping for a starting role at home to Sunderland tomorrow after signalling his injury comeback against Liverpool with a second-half sub appearance off the bench. Due to his lengthy stint on the sidelines, Aguero remains very budget friendly and comes in at only 8.3m – having scored nine times in as many matches at the Etihad, he’ll be confident of breaching Gus Poyet’s porous backline as City search for a fifteenth win in front of their own supporters. Edin Dzeko remains in contention, though, and could even start alongside Aguero if City opt for two up front. Priced at 12.0m, the Bosnian has four goals in his last five and affords us a strong double-up option for our two-man frontlines. Everton’s Romelu Lukaku will be looking to atone for a weekend blank at Sunderland. The big Belgian – who is available for 12.2m – has scored in three of his last four home appearances and welcomes Palace to Goodison tomorrow evening.

Not sure you can afford to get out a proper team of likely playing players-a bit bizarre this one.....

        Hi TommyJ,
You should certainly be able to afford a team of likely playing players - perhaps not a team full of Everton and Man City players but that's part of the challenge with PlayON and it's the same player list for everyone playing the game.

Try selecting a team of '90 minuters' from the last game for these 6 teams and I think you'll struggle to get a team.....but if the idea is to 'fill' with subs then may get some variation. I don't feel it will work for these few teams and so will give it a miss this week. Thanks.

Still fairly confident that Liverpool and City will slip up in their remaining away games, so it'll come down to our game at Anfield - which I'm not so confident about given the scheduling and the inevitable refereeing bias we'll have to face.

Hiya, it's been a pretty frustrating one so far! Been stuck around the 20k mark since week 10 and just haven't been able to make any progress both in the overall leaderboard and in my mini league - although both rivals captained Yaya (I don't own) and didn't stock up on DGW players to the same extent as me so Wednesday is crucial.

                What about yourself?

Horrible start, couldn't get my head around the Ramsey/Yaya thing for ages. Got saurez in pretty early and went on a run from Xmas. Just outside 1k now. Would be happy for season to end where I am. So tough to make movement this year. I'd say loads of good players are grinding away with top 100k. Big night tomorrow.

Oh that's a very impressive rank this season. I never owned Ramsey and only bought Yaya in week 19. Doh! I've also been taking far too many hits while chasing.

Ta. Tbh, the way things were going after 10 gw's or so, I wouldve taken a top 20k finish this season. Been a slog. Hits have worked though this year. Good luck for the run in (you not Chelsea).

i guess chelsea is helped by having so many players on loan. not necessarily as the other club helps pay the wages but because those players are largely young and low earners

    Yaya to Mata or Gerrard?

I'm thinking Mata as I have no Man U coverage and they have a DGW coming up.

Definitely want to get both Stevie G and Mata in but cant decide who first. Maybe Stevie G this week then Mata next as he has the easier fixture?

    Yaya -> Gerrard

Already have: Silva,Lallana,Eriksen. Not too sure about getting Mata for Everton game. Could get him for Lallana in gw36 against Norwich.

Any nws on Arsenal? Who is fit to play, if anybody? Especially on midfield? It seems like they have most midfielders in the whole league on their list, but once we exclude those who are also listed to infirmary or hospital, they suddenly have the fewest.

Great. Making my playon picks, and Arsenal's appeal is somewhat hindered by the fact that pretty much every player who is not suspended is injured.

Would be Allen to take that role, no ? Gerrard has been a rock back there so I can't see them moving him - only if they go behind in a game and need his influence further up
