The final two fixtures of Gameweek 34 arrive this evening. Everton and Palace both have plenty to play for at Goodison – an eighth straight win for the hosts would take them back above Arsenal in the race for fourth, whilst a victory for Palace would take Tony Pulis’ side onto the 40-point mark. City are desperate to bounce back from Sunday’s loss at Liverpool – the visit of basement-dwellers Sunderland affords them the chance to rack up a fifteenth home win in 16 attempts:

The big news from the Etihad is that David Silva has been omitted from City’s squad altogether. With Yaya Toure sidelined due to a groin injury and Edin Dzeko dropping to the bench, Sergio Aguero will carry the hopes of many into this evening’s encounter against a Black Cats side beset with injuries, suspension and illness. Over at Goodison, Romelu Lukaku – leader of last week’s Captain Poll – is looking to recover from Saturday’s unexpected blank at Sunderland.

        This. Of all my double gameweek players Puncheon was pretty much bottom of the list in terms who I was going to captain (above Speroni, just). I'm more than happy with the points, armband or not.

    So with my double Everton/double Palace defence I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for a Palace cleanie now (even with Lukaku as capt.). The downside is that in the real world that result would gift Arsenal 4th place back.

    In hindsight, with Silva and Yaya not playing, Kun only having an assist and Lukaku blanking, perhaps a Palace cleanie is the best thing for me with Ward and Speroni even though I have Baines (c).

    Unless of course Baines scores more than 1..which would be nice!
