As the minutes count down to this evening’s Champions League Final, Paddy Power are rolling out a tempting offer for those yet to register an account. With Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid set to go head-to-head for the silverware, our bookmaker mates are offering odds of 9/2 for Carlo Ancelotti’s side to win or 9/1 on Diego Simeon’s La Liga winners to emerge victorious:

If you already have an account with Paddy, though, you can still take advantage of a Money Back Special for tonight’s game. Paddy will refund all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score & Scorecast singles on the match as a free bet if Gareth Bale scores anytime in 90 minutes.

To clarify, both the Real and Atletico enhanced odds special is limited to a £10 stake, open to new Paddy Power customers only and subject to the terms and conditions specified. New customers can only opt for one of the two offers.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

This weekend's Championship play off is one of the world's most lucrative football matches. But which of QPR or Derby would be best for Fantasy managers?

Derby I reckon. If 'Arry gets QPR up he'll sign 20 new players and it will be a complete lottery.

I'll be sticking up for Derby as I used to go to some games when i used to work there
( was lucky enough to be up there for the Brazil v Ukraine friendly)
But I guess QPR have a better chance of staying up if promoted today

QPR, they will get the most interesting players FPL wise. Harry would probably try and get the Defoe / Crouch partnership back.

As Mark eludes to, QPR will be a lottery on who leaves/comes in. Derby more stable... I still think (barring t odd QPR player) Leicester & Burnley have more tempting picks

Because of Derby's terrific scoring record and poor defensive record, we would get good budget attackers and cheap defenders (4.0m maybe). Perfect.

QPR as Derby will be crap and you won't want any of their players anyway.

I hope Derby come up though, I've got money on them.

The thing I like with the macdonalds game if you can pick a normal 11 and then fill your squad with cheap recovered ball magnets so after gameweek 1 if the games rules stay how they are you have the players to fix your team. I think thats the best way to play it.

I'm wary of the rules and messing up initial squad

Picking players which are good at both is what I'm looking at. With no bonus for goal scorers the defenders score close anyway.

                    Vidal

Hi Mark, that'd be great. Actually I realized it only a bit later after I submitted. Since the scouting for team members doesn't begin till 30th, it'd be ok if its published next week too. I can submit a revised article then as well. Either way works 🙂

Considering the limited amount of people visiting this site during the summer, surely it would be better to let the UEFA discussions continue on the main thread?

Besides, i guess only 1% of the visiting population won't be taking part in the tourney...

How many did we have for TWS last summer? That can't have been much shy of 160 (albeit a few were peripheral figures at best) and that was with no FF or WC.

160? Doubt it man, probably started off with around 120. Eventually had around 60-70 active players. But that had its own merits - it was a cozy community! 😉

Hopefully not forever. Pratik's website domain - preciselyme.com has expired. Hoping with his return to the dark side, he'll revamp the domain.

I was speaking in relative terms. I was considering 120-140 as just shy of 160 🙂

TWS was awesome! We'll have to bring it back and take it to another level for next summer.

Not so much in the summer, you'd imagine. Depends on a captain how he wants to scout his team. Some have had unique ideas in the past like an all Spurs fans team. Won't be surprised to see some themes in this one too!

Ok thanks. Ill enter anyway and see if anyone wants me on their team. Sounds like a great idea especially as the McDonalds fantasy football game seems like a let down but hopefully they will realise their mistake and change the rules. Cant understand why they are giving us a squad of 22 to pick 11 and not make substitutions like previous years of players who dont score well.

It's all a bit messy at the moment. They have screwed up a few of my initial plans with regards to this tourney by deciding to launch so late too. Also I fear many posters might show up only after the game is launched by which time the places could go off.

Make a list of how many people want to join captains aside just include them as extra players. Should I get them to fill in a form to see who wants to participate? Do it like the TWS one then the captains can send mails to those who want to join that's much easier?

I fancy derby, this place backs it up. I don't bet too much football, more into rugby union but close to 4/1 is great odds that I'm having a stab at.

I'm betting on Bet 365 who give you a free matched in-play bet if you bet pre match as well. Going for Real Madrid to be winning at HT for my pre-match bet and BTTS in the 1st half in my in-play bet. Basically all Real Madrid need to do and I win money (maybe more if Atletico also score or even more if Atletico score but Real Madrid are leading at HT).

I don't think the odds on a Real win is particularly good value though, I'm playing the cards market, over 5 yellow cards in the match.

Cissokho's agent: "There aren't any negotiations for Cissokho. He merely had dinner with me and then we went to San Siro. Nothing more."

    Thank f*** for that.

    Stay away from Milan.

What's worrying is that comment from the agent reads like we tried to sign him but the deal broke down, presumably on wage demands.

Derby County have won four of their last five play-off games, including their most recent final (v West Bromwich Albion in 2007).

come on Bamford! Mourinho is watching you. Show us why you deserve a place in Chelsea first team next season!!

Do you want Demba to stay? I thought he'd be off.
