After Holland’s stunning 5-1 rout of defending champions Spain last night, Paddy Power are rolling out a tempting offer for those yet to register an account. With Roy Hodgson’s England set to face Italy in the 11pm kick-off, our bookmaker mates are offering odds of 8/1 for the Three Lions to triumph, 7/1 for a draw or 6/1 on Cesare Prandelli’s troops to open their campaign with a victory:

Given that the regular odds are 2/1, 2/1 and 7/4 respectively, this is clearly another great offer from Paddy. Click here to get involved.

Those who already have an account with Paddy can still take advantage of a Money Back Special on offer. Paddy will refund all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score & Scorecast singles on the match as a free bet if Italy win – found out more here.

To clarify, the England v Italy enhanced odds special is limited to a Β£10 stake, open to new Paddy Power customers only and subject to the terms and conditions specified. New customers can only opt for one of the three offers.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Never forget Uruguay getting a red card in the first minute against Scotland in '86. They were big favourites for the most cards. Wont happen if they don't progress though.

Yeah, Greece and Switzerland continually fluking easy qualification and tournament-proper groups is really beginning to annoy me. They are both truly average European teams.

At least Greece semi deserve their seedings due to their Euro 2004 heroics. What have the Swiss done?

Only 1 goal conceded in 7 matches over last two World Cups. Only team to have won Spain in EC, WC or qualifiers to either between EC 2008 (including) and yesterday (excluding).

Actually, both Greece and Switzerland have the same secret: Hitzfeld, whose ruthless tactics won the EC 2004 for Greece, and who now is behind Switzerland's amazing defensive record. Switzerland also has many quality players, though.

I think this really is the case.

Honestly, I only watched the last 30 minutes when Urugay was already one down, but what I saw was that they had no means to attack when they have to. Awful midfield that couldn't support the forwards if their lives depended on it. Awful defence that has been protected by a midfield playing very very deep. This last part we really knew already. You can't attack when you have a Lugano in defence.

They actually have all the weaknesses we can predict from their lineup. It surprises us (me very much included here) because of what they did 2-4 years ago, but it should not.

They have about zero decent creative midfielders, and apart from Godin their defence is shite or okay at best. Forlan is past it. Muslera is okay. When I saw their lineup before the match I, in all honesty, thought that what a shite team they have on paper.

All they have is Cavani and Godin and injured Suarez. Those are world class. The rest is just strong experience of playing together on top level.

And I still don't count out that they would surprise England or Italy. They know how to play their game.

Very little width in that Italy side, they'll almost certainly have a lot of the ball, but think Sterling over Lallana should prove a right decision.

I'm not sure on this England midfield talk. I don't think it's a simple as one player on the right, one centrally and one left, I think there'll be a bit more interchanging than that
