Looks like FPL priced the game pretty nicely this season. Allot of options to think about and the transfer window is not even closed yet!

A few players that personally caught my eye is the FPL "reliables" such as Nolan (6.5m), Baines (7.0m), Hazard (10.m), Terry (6.5m), Rooney (10.5m), RVP(12.5m) and Steven Fletcher (5.5m). Their prices generally reflect that these lads consistently score well most seasons. When selecting my team, I like to grab a few of these and mix them in with players who have "potential", e.g. Eriksen this season and Ramsey. I'm a bit wary about new players to the league tbh.

Anyone else i'm overlooking that is pretty consistent FPL wise (in the good way!)?

Also Fletcher looks like he has a kind price tag this year if he is fit, he tends to score goals whenever he plays and should be 1st choice i'd imagine at Sunderland.

I've always found myself wildcarding after GW3 for the int'l break so I've just accepted that I'll be doing the same this year. Ticker says Chelsea, Utd, Hull, QPR have the best opening fixtures.

RMT (for first 3 fixtures) :

    DeGea
    Cahill Cameron B.Davies
    Sanchez(vc) Hazard Eriksen Snoddy
    Rooney(c) Bony Remy

    Subs : Albrighton Vlaar Pocognoli

    Captain : GW1 Rooney -> GW2 Hazard -> GW3 man city attacker

Evening chaps, recently moved into managing a night shift team so will probably be frequenting the graveyard shift more regularly!

As always, trying to find the balance between well established point scorers and the new heavy hitters. As a rule I only try and have 3 unknown quantities max.

Not willing to risk Sanchez for example vs Hazard (May depend on where Sanchez is deployed)

Quite a few are punting. Doesn't mean you can't get him at all though.

My logic is that Liverpool are first up, obviously a tough fixture on paper for Tadic. If he bombs then his price will fall sharpish and you won't want to have him.

Worst case scenario he sets the world alight and you can join the bandwagon like the rest of us to catch the price rise.

      Patience is key methinks

I've done some research stats wise but the quality of the Dutch league is always questionable.

Mayuka, osvaldo and sharp are the minor competition.

Our fixtures couldn't be better for him so I'd definitely punt on Pelle over Tadic.

No, I don't want to plan transfers in advance. Which brings me to my next point about hits. Last season a -4 hit wasn't too bad as there were bps flying around left, right and centre. This year with less bps, therefore less points a -4 hit will be costlier

What I've gathered so far regarding the new bps system is that it favours strikers, especially if they score. So if Giroud and Sanchez both scored a goal a piece, most likely Giroud would get more bps than Sanchez.

With this in mind, I'm surprised at the lack of RMTS with 2 heavy strikers, surely you should have 2 of RVP/Kun/Sturridge as they will hover up the bps. Instead, Sanchez (mid) is the most selected player in many teams, thus forcing them to have only 1 heavy striker. Am I making sense?

Basically every team should have 2 heavy strikers

Most of the options seem to favour the mids though. Crosses, chances created, key passes etc. Caught offside, shot off target (-1, more likely for striker)

There just 1,2 or 3 points. A goal for a striker is worth 24 points

True but the lots of little options add up too. a 1+2+3 catches the 6 pts extra from the goal. Seems like whoever scores the match winning goal will likely get them though alright.

2 heavy strikers is a must for me to start with...costa sturridge kun rooney/rvp all over 10m and i personally believe u would have 2 of them at any point of time in the season..so yeah its better to start with 2 of them and then wait for the mid price strikers to perform.

still rmb how hard it is for me to form my SAR w/o wc last season..this season i will start w 2 of them

Fabregas managed to score in both home and away games against Burnley @season 2009-2010.

Throughout his 2003-2011 gunner career, he only started once in all GW1 games. In that game, Arsenal beat Everton (09-10) and Fabregas registered a brace and two assists.

I love this boy and thank you for coming back to the PL.
