Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce that last season’s winners of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) and Ultimate Fantasy Premier League (UFPL) – Tom Fenley and Alex Bowers (gavigan) – will be joining our ranks of contributors for the 2014/15 campaign.

Tom and Alex will be writing exclusively for Fantasy Football Scout, providing input to a number of articles over the pre-season to help guide your FPL and UFPL strategies. We’ve also got a few new ideas for regulars next season, with the pair hopefully chipping in with their knowledge and experience along the way.

Things are set to kick off this week, with Tom bringing us a two-part guide to using the Members Area, while Alex’s Ultimate Fantasy Premier League strategy guide is also scheduled for an airing.

      To be fair, he has been there for 6 years and been one of their best players yet his move is blocked. The chairman comes out and says he won't be sold without any consultation whilst others who have been there shorter time are allowed to leave.

    Guys which do you prefer: scores from last year in brackets.

    A) Shaw (132) + Debuchy (130 Sagnas points for better guide) + Sidwell (138) = Total 400

    or

    B) Van Aanholt (Sunderlands best def got 73)+ Tripper (guestimate of 65) + Hazard (209) = Total 347

    Also I am considering dropping my West Ham and Palace rotation because it looks like West Ham will be poor defensively this season. Could replace with B.Davies and someone or a better rotation option.

        No, not at all. They are provisional options as they are at decent clubs and are 4.5m. If there is not a 4.5m starter for Stoke or Palace then I might have to look at other options.

        I like the fact that my keepers rotate quite well (I checked DDG's tough games with Kruls alternatives and it is ok) and I think it will get me some decent points. I don't get the obsession everyone has with getting 3 or 4 massive mids. I have seen so many teams with budget strikers and expensive mids.

    So I was considering getting Bojan in as 3rd striker, but that gives me a GW1 dilemma as I have Guzan and Vlaar in defence (GW1: AVL vs STK) + (I'll be rotating them with Krul and Coloccini who have MCI 1st game), and I've seen numerous posts on here that say it's not advisable to select players who are playing against each other. I can see the sense in this, but at the same time I've done DGWs where I've selected players from both teams of the additional game(s) and still scored highly. Just wanted to see what you guys thought about this, cheers for any feedback.
