With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the  Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please encourage those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial lineups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

First up, I’ve decided to post my current lineup. I’ve opted for a squad that has a spread of money across the positions, with two rotating goalkeepers and a strong focus on the four to five teams I think are most likely to profit from goals and clean sheets. It also shows a strong bias towards those teams with favourable early fixtures and, hopefully, it’s set up to be flexible enough to make quick early repairs.

Guzan (Krul)

Terry Evans NTaylor (Wisdom, Duff)

Ramsey Hazard Mata Henderson (Albrighton)

Rooney Adebayor Dzeko

0.5m in the bank

My main deliberation surrounds whether to go with Diego Costa up front and and an 8.5 midfielder, probably Rahaeem Sterling, instead of my current selection of Emmanuel Adebayor and Eden Hazard. That gives me a Gameweek 2 option to possibly swap one of Jordan Henderson or Sterling for Gylfi Sigurdsson, although I’m happy to keep both those Liverpool midfielders if a transfer is urgently required elsewhere. I do feel that Hazard will be the top source of Chelsea points, however.

Alternatively, I could stick with Hazard and a 9.0 striker. Of this group, the main options seem to be Romelu Lukaku and Adebayor. This also gives me flexibility to hop on any emerging strikers who show promise for 8.5 or less. As you can see, I’m currently favouring this option.

Feel free to get stuck in with your feedback. We look forward to scanning your RMT’s throughout the day on this article.

I'd change the defence around a bit.
      - Not convinced Ben Davies is nailed.
      - I might change Curtis Davies to Rosenior or Chester to save the money, same defence and C Davies didn't seem to offer a huge attacking threat last season. Also with Hull in the Europa league there could be some rotation early on in the season.
      - Caulker is a good choice, as we saw he is a good goal threat.

I'd personally keep Debuchy and Caulker and change Davies, Davies, Wisdom to a 5.0/4.5/4.5, with a 5.0 from Palace/Stoke then 4.5s from Sunderland and Newcastle as they rotate well.

Pretty darn nice team. I really like Debuchy but until fixtures are better I'd start with Clyne/Janmaat and use money to upgrade Wisdom.

Wisdom + Caulker to Clyne + Ferdinand

Southampton have BRILL fixtures to pick up decent amount of CS. Wisdom isn't nailed on from what I've heard on here.

So basically Debuchy + Wisdom + Caulker to Janmaat + Clyne + Ferdinand. I know it doesn't look that appealing but Newcastle & Southampton have such good opening fixtures for 10 weeks or so.

I accidentally posted this on the Lamela page earlier, I sincerely apologize...

I can see Lamela making an impact on this upcoming season. However, I've been toying with the idea of using Harry Kane as a 5.0 striker and getting Muhamed Besic of Everton as a 5.0 midfielder. It would give me this line-up....

    De Gea
    Trippier - C. Davies - Caulker
    Sanchez - Mata - Sterling - Ramsey
    Rooney - Lukaku - Kane

    Myhill - de Laet - Besic - C. Chambers

I think if both Kane and Besic get solid minutes for their clubs, I have a decent rotation between the two. Thoughts?

That's my fear... I originally had Bojan as a third striker and Albrighton as a back-up.

It seems like Besic and Kane have impressed their managers quite a bit so far. I'm guessing that's what has led me to this current team.

    Rooney, Costa, Bojan

Vert is a good buy at 6.0 but I'm just not convinced by Spurs D. Would want my premium D getting attacking points and clean sheets

Dzeko is a risk. I personally want my strikers 100% gaurenteed to start and he just doesn't provide that.

Other then that the team has a good mix and the combination of Fabergas, Haz, Rooney, Mata and Lukaku is one of my fav so far.

Cheers for the input mate. I'm expecting big things from Vert. Looking at what Poch did with Southampton's defence last year bodes very well for what he can do with Spurs'. And if you look at the kind of scores his CB's were getting, and Vert's history at CB, I think he could explode this season, and at a very reasonable price. I agree with you about Dzeko, but I simply need a Man City attacker imo, and he is the best bet if you ask me. If anything tells me otherwise i.e. the community shield, I will swap him out for someone.

Yeah if Arsenal start well I'm toast. It's a toss up between Fab and Ramsey, but Fab's fixtures just edge it for me. Waiting on more info on Wisdom and Cameron, but I'm quietly confident about their nailedness. Man City are fixture proof as far as I'm concerned, and Lukaku will more than likely be transferred to Bony or whoever is performing well quite quickly. Just want him for that Leicester game.

OK...thanks lads, but that leaves me with 0.5 to find to upgrade to Foster or find another rotation candidate for my other keeper who is Krul. Here is the current draft team for GW 1-4 so where can I find 0.5

    Myhill (Krul)

Albrighton Mata (v) Hazard Sanchez (El Ahmadi)

    Rooney (c) DC Pele

I always play 3-43 and yes, I know I could swap Hazard to Fab, but then I would have to change my team name back Again from Falcon's Hazard to Falcon's Fab 15.Was Falcon's Magic Lamp last season.....but that is not going to work unless Lamps starts regularly for MC???

(you can tell I am a Chelsea Fan being a bit bothered by Manu having the best fixtures for GW 1-4 followed by Hull (hence Bruce) and only then Chelsea.

must admit i haven't seen any Soton pre-season games, just been hearing that Davis has been largely in the hole with Tadic on the left. Tadic is described as a tricky left winger, so imagine he's Lallana's replacement.

    Hazard Mata Eriksen Sigurdsson Henderson
    Rooney Costa Bojan

    0.5 left in the bank.

Any other better budget strikers than Bojan? I know you should never listen to preseason form but he does have very easy fixtures.

I'm torn between playing this as a 3-5-2 most weeks (unless Bojan surprises) or downgrading one of Siggy/Hendo to a 4.5 and then upgrading Bojan. If I did that and drop one of my defenders by 0.5 I could get Jovetic. Drop two defenders and I could get one of the 8.5 strikers.

    Any thoughts appreciated!

I have Kane as a third striker currently. You can save 0.5 there, but my only uncertainty is that Kane isn't starting consistently. I think Bojan could have a good year so you may want to stick with your frontline.

Rooney - Costa is solid and I like your midfield.

Hey all, I'm happy with the bulk of my team and how balanced it is...this should allow me to make a change in each area once heavy hitters start hitting. My only issue is with the frontline.... my friend went to the Emirates cup and said Giroud looked very off the pace and uninterested. Wenger has also said he might not start the Community Shield on Sunday.

I tell you what... Thats very, very good.

I'd switch Tadic to De Jong personally. Upgrade Jones with the change.

        Fail. not De Jong.

        Arnoutovic.

        OR....

        Downgrade Jones and grab Eriksson.

Thanks. Tadic is on penalties, free kicks and corner kicks so I believe he's worth taking a gamble on. I also want to keep a ManU defender, since they have great fixtures in the first 8 games.

I'm really not sure about having Wisdom and Bruce there. Both are not guaranteed game time, putting a lot of strain on your other three defenders.

Also, you have the front three as me, but I'm still debating over Bojan myself. Tempted to play 3-5-2 some weeks and sub him, but with Albrighton in your midfield and Leicester's opening fixtures you probably shouldn't do that.

With 6/7 of the forward line being big hitters and (c) material, i don't mind having 2,2,6,2,2,4,3,2 form Bojan. The others should over compensate.

Looks pretty good, except for Bojan. I like to have all 3 of my strikers captaincy material. But having Sanchez there makes up for it. You could do Cesc to Siggy and then Bojan to Dzeko or Jovetic, since Man City score a lot regardless of fixtures.

The way I'm looking at it, 6/7 of my forward players are the biggest of hitters.

Midfeild and strikers are good but don't like defence and keeper combo. i think de laet is a poor pick, i know he rotates well with clyne but leicster's opening home games are awful.

The front 3 are interesting. Rooney has looked fantastic in preseason, Sturridge worries me a bit, and I literally have no clue what to expect from Hull at this point in time. I think Rooney & Mata are brilliant together and should reward a lot of owners.

Solid midfield and defense. My only concern there is Begovic/Clyne and the Southampton defense.

Maybe downgrade Sturridge to Lukaku or Costa and use the money on a different GK or defender? Those are just my thoughts.

Yeah i don't know what to expect from hull either but think long is the best pick at that price, and i think sturridge is underated on this site, everyone will want him from gw4 so think i may as well start with him. I actually have 0.5 ITB so i may look at upgrading a defender
