With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

Next up is D1sable, the winner of the 2013/14 Fantasy Football Scout moderators and contributors league.

De Gea/Hamer
Filipe Luis, Chester, Moore, Cameron, Mariappa
Sterling, Ramsey, Albrighton, Sigurdsson, Mata
Rooney, Diego Costa, Dzeko

D1sable tells us he wants a Manchester United and a Chelsea defender but he is unsure about Luis Felipe’s game time and doesn’t trust Manchester United defenders to stay fit. Luke Shaw’s fitness is a particular concern.

He hasn’t gone for rotation at the back,  just selected defenders from defensive sides. While in midfield he really wants Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure but he has found he just decimates the team with his price. Toure could be brought in with a wildcard later.  He is also a reluctant owner of Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata, with Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas waiting in the wings. Liverpool’s attack is another area he feels he is lacking and he is concerned that Diego Costa may not be the best route into Chelsea goals and assists.

Feel free to get stuck in with your feedback. We look forward to scanning your RMTs throughout the day on this article.

    RMT
    Things getting summed up here:

    DDG / Gilks
Evans / Caulker / Ben Davies / Ward / Bartley
    Sanchez / Hazard / Shelvey / Eriksen / Sterling
    Rooney / Dzeko / (Zamora)
    3-5-2

Is it good to go with both DDG and Evans in defence? Or should I replace DDG / Gilks with Begovic / Krul?
Thats what concerns me now, actually.....

Is 2 Man U wise? Will their defence radically improve from last season as things stand?
I'd downgrade two of your 5m defenders, downgrade Sanchez to Ramsey, Shelvey to a 4.5 = upgrade Zamora

In 3-5-2 I cant afford a 5.5 / 6m striker on the bench. Its because I think Sanchez is a forward who may get more goals / assists than Giroud by the end of the season. So I am never thinking of downgrading Sanchez.

Fair, I think four 5m + defenders and Shelvey in your 3-5-2 will come back to hurt you though

The main reason for Shelvey is that his spot is guaranteed and the 5+ defenders offer good rotation e.g Ward / Caulker. But if you know about well rotating 4.5 defenders, I would gladly accept the recommendation...

I think you need to downgrade one of your midfielders and upgrade on Pelle. Ramsey to Arnautovic or Siggurdson. This will allow you to go from Pelle to Giroud or Costa.

      1) I've gone off the Krul and Mannone combo. Take away all this "rotation" malarkey and decide whether Sunderland and Newcastle will keep more clean sheets than say Crystal Palace or Stoke.
      2) Eriksen. Quality player. Should (have to wait and see) start in the hole. Looked amazing last season, goals and assists, plus he was a bonus points magnet. Lamela is unproven.
      3) At 5.0m you're really digging the bargain bin. But Bojan and Bent could be considerations for you in that price range.

1)Debuchy is great value and a fair enough pick and a player I'll probably end up bringing in, but Arsenal have some tough opening fixtures and might not return the CSs initially.
      2) Keep an eye on Taylor, we don't know if he'll start or whether Swansea will bring players in.
      3) Your front 7 is good and no one really knows who will turn out the best in contests like Hazard.Fab, Ramsey/Sanchez. I would consider doing Sanchez> Ramsey and Ferdinand> Wisdom. That gives you £2m to get Eriksen or, if you can find .5 more from the defence, Sterling, for Snoddy.

Yeah, no one really knows. He could play up front, explode and everyone is scrambling to get him in. Or, he might not start, might not gel with the team straight away, might play out wide, might not return a significantly larger return than the likes of Walcott/Ozil/Ramsey over the season to justify the extra £££. We shall see.

    Foster (Krul)

    Terry Baines Evans (Wisdom Bruce)

    Sanchez Eriksen Siggy Hazard (Albrighton)

    Bojan Lukaku Rooney

Chose Lukaku over Dzeko/Jovetic. I'm happy. But could be happier. Thoughts?

Interesting to see what no Mata and bargain basement subs does to the team. Allows a great defence and strong front line. Nice one.

Possibly. However, if you look up his shots/conversion rate from last season, it was miraculous - I think he had the highest conversion rate in the league. A lot of those were from free kicks too. If you think he can repeat that his season, go for it. But my reason for not getting him is if you look at his scores for the three previous seasons, his average score is 167. This where I think (and hope :D) he roughly ends up this season. For 11m, not worth it imo.

    Begovic (Krul)
Cahill - Bavies - Pieters (Moore) (Jose Enrique)
    Ramsey - Fab - Mata - Young - Siggy
    Costa - Rooney (Bojan)

    Thanks in advance

I would rather have a quality 3rd striker over Bojan than Fabregas in a 3-5-2 tbh, but each to his own. I think you have 1.5m too much in defence too. Begovic to Speroni, Krul to a 4.0m, Pieters and Enrique to 4.5s.

Well balanced team. Only problems I can see are your strikers are a little weak and you have no Chelsea defender (not necessarily essential). Do you still have money ITB?

Shaw rotating with one of Ward-Caulker and one of O'Shea-Coloccini. I have never felt comfortable rotating defenders so I may cut back somewhere to just have Luis-Evans-Debuchy. Just not sure where to cut. I have no money in the bank.

    Guzan (Krul)
    Terry Evans Davies (Mariappa, Wisdom)
    Hazard Mata Ramsey Siggy (Marney)
