With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen’s inclusion was reliant on his move to Manchester United, which now looks to have fallen through. Who should he replace him with?

He concedes Charles N’Zogbia is a huge punt in midfield. Is it a gamble too far? Alexis Sanchez is an insurance policy and he feels he can easily downgrade the Arsenal midfielder to his cheaper team mate Aaron Ramsey.

  Simpson might get dropped for Isla. I’ve gone for Rio instead. Also, in missing chelsea defence is a bit risky in my eyes. You could, for example, swap Sterling for Henderson and then use the money to upgrade a defender.

  I think toure kills the balance of the side. The defence is simply a little too light for me. But if you remain keen on him, I'd still try and upgrade your defence, possibly funding it through changing the keepers.

  actually, I quite like this team. Nice balance. I prefer Eriksen to Lamela. Maybe you could swap Remy for Austin, since he’s on pens and you could use the extra cash to upgrade davis to siggy, which would give you a bit more flexibility.

    Thanks! I am fairly happy with the balance of the team. I have opted for Fabs purely on the basis that he's had a good pre-season and doesnt have the dreaded Europa League to deal with (Am I right in thinking Spurs have some qualifiers early on?). I am tempted by Eriksen though!
    
    I have concerns over Luis starting and Bojan (but he will rarely start for me to be honest).

    Comment above about PvA > 4.0 and use the 0.5 for Luis > Terry/Cahill
    Bojan not a great pick but he will rarely be playing with the Midfield.
    I would like a bit of Eriksen. I may just have to wait.

  I would personally want 1 more big defender in there. But you have a stronger midfield, so I suppose its the decision that you have made. I'm not really a fan of the Newcastle Defence.

Few thoughts/reasonings behind some of my selections/things I'm worried about.

Chambers -I think the fact that he's nailed in Arsenals defence for the first week makes Chambers great value at 4.5 if only for the first week or two.

Luis - I'm not too sure about....I really want some Chelsea defence because of their early game fixtures/they're strong defensively....but I am slightly worried that Luis isn't nailed and Mou may go Azpi left back/Ivanovic right back first game.

Evans: Most Nailed United defender

Sterling: I think from an offensive perspective Liverpool are almost fixture proof....can really see Sterling getting big returns this season...not sure whether I should go Sterling/Dzeko or Fabgregas/Jovetic for GW 1 though??? Help??

Hazard???? Despite his lack of pre-season form I'm really scared not having him in my team. I am sort of tempted to try and include as much of the expensive players as possible from the start, just because downgrading is so much easier to do than upgrading??

1. Could change Siggy to - Hendo, Holtbly, or Puncheon

    Could actually have Eriksen in the team without losing Yaya, but I'll have to downgrade my defense, don't think that's a good idea though.
    
    In addition, not really confident about luis, is he nailed on?

This is my first post of the new season, would welcome thoughts:

Krul / Mannone
Shaw, Luis, Ward, Debuchy, Bruce
Rambo, Fab, Mata, Sterling, El Ahmadi
Rooney, Giroud, Bojan

Not massively comfortable with Bojan but he seems a useful option to balance the squad right now.

Any better keeper combos for 9m?

I am a bit worried about my reliance on Stoke for GW1 as well, may swap Wilson for Chambers for GW1 and bring in Ward for GW2 in his place.

Also worried about Costa so may change him to Dzeko and use the difference to bolster the Defence/GK - What do you think?

  - I would personally only go with 2 of Gibbs, Terry and Lovren. Gibbs to a 4.0
