this is the thing with preseason friendlies though. there are ALWAYS young kids who look good in it, how many times have we seen 16 year olds at big clubs join the squad for tours score cracking goals in consecutive preseason games and look incredible then they end up playing league 2 for the career.
if you only watched wilson and lawrence for 1 match last season people would have thought they'd be golden boot contenders and some of the world's finest in the game.Open Controls

hear me out, I'm just writing some thoughts down, playing devils advocate
we don't know who will start for Chelsea at GK, CB, LB or RB
it costs at least 6 mil to take a punt on the starters and if you are wrong not only do you have your most expensive defender of the bench but theres a chances everyone else who made the same choice will start jumping ship forcing you to transfer out
Now if you start without a Chelsea defender but leave yourself the means to transfer one in quickly if ownership starts increasing you are less likely to be forced into a transfer or lose money. Ownership of Chelsea defs are unlikely to shoot up quickly but may drop sharply
the question is, is it worth waiting until gw2 or 3 to pick a Chelsea def/gk?
