Any defenders at 4.0 nailed on to start?

Anything of note happen in the friendlies today? Who picked up the assists?

Is Bartley nailed for 1st 3 gameweeks???

no

Filipe Luis, surely he starts GW1.
Looked class today in the second half. Nice combination play with Hazard down the left, can see a few goals and assists from him.Open Controls-
Not so cynical now...
Open Controls -
I'll eat my shoes if he doesnt start
Open Controls -
Chelsea fan. New member.
Would love Luis to start as his overlap will enable Hazard more space. Hazard found himself double/triple teamed last year as Dave wouldn't overlap/he cannot cross with his left foot!
That being said, I was intrigued by the comments from the Chelsea TV analysts tonight. They think Azpili and Dave will start and Luis will be introduced with a few cameo appearances... Strange.
Because of that, I've opted for Terry.Open Controls

a) Courtois Luis Fabregas (means I have Studge and Roonpig)
b) Luis Fabregas Costa (No Rooney)Open Controls -

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League Keeper Options
Ideally you want one keeper who plays Saturday, one who plays Sunday, and if there is a Monday game, one for that night too, however planning for Monday games is near impossible, and giving yourself a good selection over the weekend seems the best way to maximize the chance of getting the clean sheet.
A look at some 3 keeper options
Man Utd, Newcastle, Sunderland (DDG, Krul, Mannone) (14.5)
Gives you 2 options a weekend, except weeks 3, 12 and 13, but gives an easy home fixture in all 3 cases. The second option in a gameweek is usually David De Gea, useful for UFPL as you want your punts to play and have strong backups to come in on Sunday (More on this on the Mid and Fwd articles)
DDG – Fantastic shot stopper who is the cheapest nailed on option in the United defense, strong opening fixtures should mean he cleans up the clean sheets points.
Krul – Solid option at a decent Newcastle team, any fears over clean sheet potential should be alleviated by his save points, you wont need to play him much anyway
Mannone – A hero from the season gone by, no BPS in the UFPL game means he wont be in for many 11 point hauls but should garner plenty of save points in a surprisingly resilient Sunderland side.
Man Utd, Spurs, Newcastle (DDG, LLoris, Krul) (15.5)
Gives you at least 2 options EVERY weekend up until week 15. Sightly more expensive but the option i would recommend.
LLoris – one of the league best keepers, in what many are expecting to be a strong spurs defense under Poch
Man Utd, Spurs, Mignolet (DDG, LLoris, Mignolet) (16.5)
Gives you 2 options a week except weeks 11 and 5. Even more expensive but Gives you 3 keepers from top 6 Team teams, all of which are nailed on every single match.
Mignolet – Pool should be more solid this year with Lovren and other defensive additions, although not sure Mignolet is worth the 5.5 tag.
I reckon option 2 is the best choice for the coming season, you can see a bit more detail here http://ultimatefpl.wordpress.com/2014/08/12/ultimate-fpl-goalkeepers/

It's amazing Barkley's ownership level when you will hardly see him in a RMT on here.
Are we guilty of too much groupthink and not enough original ideas?Open Controls-
Yes. That's why I've got rivière. 😉
Open Controls -
Not sure, what do you think?
Open Controls -
In this case, no. I didn't want Barkley last season at 5.5m. What has changed?
Open Controls-
This. Was a disappointing headache even at a low price. I'm sure he'll score a few more but no reason to invest in him at 7m yet, especially with poor fixtures.

Rumours of Zaha to Palace - 5.5m - any takers if it happens?
Open Controls-
Not if his stint at Cardiff is anything to go by.
Open Controls

So what is this rojo bloke like?
Open Controls-
Attacking. Very attacking.
Open Controls-
Really? Cool.
I'm a united fan so hope it works.Open Controls -
Only when he plays LWB. He normally plays CB for his club though.
Open Controls

An aggressive defender in every sense of the word. Gets forward plenty from either centre back or left back, a threat from corners, and a serious card magnet.
Open Controls-
Well he will almost cirtainly play cb then?
Especially if blind is signed tooOpen Controls

Hadn't heard of him before the World Cup, but he looked strong for Argentina, very attacking.
Open Controls -
Was fantasy gold at the WC.
Open Controls

Mata or Fabregas chaps? 🙂
Open Controls-
Fab
Open Controls -
I liked him at WC anyway
Open Controls -

The consesus seems to be Fab, then! Might just stick with Fab, and monitor it! 🙂

Mata will have a great season I reckon, I'd say Mata

Premium Players: I am sure most of you are also struggling to find the right balance for your team. How do we fit in Yaya, Hazard, Sturridge and a Man Utd striker? Is RVP going to fire on all cylinders under Van Gaal? Or is Rooney a better option at 2m less? Thought id try to create a little discussion on everyone's thoughts...
Open Controls-
I think most people have decided Yaya isn't worth it. Hazard isn't worth it to start the season, over the likes of Costa or Fabregas. Rooney is much more popular than RvP. Sturridge becoming more popular but Costa's brace today will divide opinions.

Repost
Little advice please, lads. Now that Kelly is in for Palace I'm not so sure about my team. I suppose I could replace Mariappa with Kelly as I'd be benching him the first week anyway. But with Costa firing again I'm thinking of a top heavy team as well...
A or B
Bego Myhill
Baines Chester Kelly Wisdom Hutton
Haz Mata Rambo Siggy Isgrove
Studge Roon Diouf
