I see a lot of teams with really cheap defence. I personally think it's a recipe for disaster, particularly with a lot of the cheap players being rotation risks. I think you need two top 6 players in the 5.5-6.5 bracket and then some rotation options at 4.5-5.0 (QPR/CPL/STO/NEW).

As in cheap defenders... points in FF are in attack and midfield. It is too difficult to call the top scoring defenders and they only get about 150 points

Mourinho said he has chosen his number 1 keeper. Surely, it has to be Courtois. Else, why bring him back from loan.... If he starts most games he is an option over Cahill/JT.... the risk is to have Courtois and a 4.0 dead GK... in case Cech gets the odd game, you have no keeper...

Alright, I'm done, let's get this show on the road:

    Begovic (Krul)

    Caulker, Clyne, Moore (Ward, N.Taylor)

    Mata, Fabregas, Ramsey, Mutch (Davis)

    Rooney, Costa, Bony

Every time I try changing stuff, I always come back to this lineup. I like it for the first few weeks, then I can make changes if there are really jn form players. Thoughts are always appreciated, but I honestly can't see myself doing anymore changes 😛

6.0 is expensive for a rotating defender imo. Vertonghen doesn't seem to be completely match fit anyway, so I'd wait until he's back, and see how their defence performs.

I expect them to be tight at the back this year, and will probably bring in Rose or Davies if one of them nails down a spot.

Better cover on the flanks with two new signings. Still likely to bring in a new centre half partner to Vertonghen. So 'yes' but not immediately I'd say. I go to WHL a lot BTW.

Liverpool have an all attack tendency, let the 4-0 not fool you… It was a 2nd string Dortmund!!

City coverage, Nasri fits. He was the outlet for almost all Mancity attacks in the Community shield… Dzeko, Match fitness has him 2weeks off top form. Wait for bout 2GWs. his price will have gone down too.

      IMO…

That's almost 2/3 of the budget for 12 players. Considering the present favour for 3-5-2 by PL clubs, CAMs will have a big year, FPLwise. Rooney Costa and Sterling & +2.5 for the squad!!

BR opts for 4-3-3, Sterling as the Inverted winger, SS!! He'l have >15goals this season. this translates to 21goals for a striker… Sterling wins!

    IMO though…

But then again, he said >15, and 16.8 goals for sterling would be the same "goal points" as 21 for sturridge. The difference between 15 and 16.8 is not that much over a season.

Possibly. Pretty sure he played as a CAM for Swansea on a few occasions.

                Played mainly CM I thought.

Would certainly make Caulker more favourable as he can actually hit a decent free kick/corner.

Caulker is already very favourable 😉

Not worried about Hoilett rotation? I want Hoilett as my 5th mid in a 343/352, but bloody Mutch threat.

Hoilett played everything last year, scored what, like 4 goals? I think Mutch is in the driving seat... but yeah, I'm not superconfident about Mutch either. Might go "safe" and squeeze in Siggy.

No. I think he's got a good chance of nailing down a spot though. Did not know about the Guzman rumors, might have to reconsider.

I was just looking at the % ownership of my players.

Makes me think that it's pointless playing this game.

Very few will have the exact same combo. By the time you have made a few transfers you will be unique

I changed him to Jones. Looks terrible. Considering going without Man U defense.

I see Marney in a lot of teams now.
Did any of you bother to check his disciplinary record?

    Just saying

No. I'm assuming he likey the cards? I just checked out his goalscoring record, it's terrible, so I figured he'd have to be a defensive mid.

Discipline isn't about showing a dog who's boss; it's about taking
responsibility for a living creature you have brought into your world.
