A new beginning. On the eve of a new campaign, two grumpy middle-aged has-beens gather in a studio to recall the summer’s feast of football and look ahead to another Fantasy season, full of hope.

There’s no frills. No live video cast. No special guests. Just Granville and I, stripped back and almost unplugged.

Don’t let that put you off, though. Even with our limited powers we at least attempt to cut through the issues currently rattling around in the minds of Fantasy managers.

We assess the Old Trafford revolution, the world without Suarez and the merits of the three-man strike force. We slice through the current transfer trends and weigh up matters such as the Sigurdsson/Bojan rotation, Fagregas vs Hazard and the Chelsea back four conundrum. We also manage to warm up with a nice little argument about the Alexis Sanchez bandwagon – the traditional pre-season barney.

    Morning All -going to be a hectic day!

    One option for the mods today is maybe to auto-reject every post that is/looks like a RMT (like they do re: swearing etc) allowing them only on the RMT thread that's been set up?

    anyway, any views on whether i should start with:

    A) Blackett
    or
    B) N. Taylor
    ?

    Not overly bothered by short term nature of Blackett -but i am going to need one of them to play!

    I'm going to avoid Palace players now and adopt a 'wait and see' approach.

    Rather see the impact on the players in the first two games, and who they appoint as the next manager, plus who they sign before bringing any players into my team.

      What happens if Palace lose 4-0 at the Emirates?

      We don't know the impact this could have on players/tactics etc for the following week when you would start Kelly.

      But for 4.5m there isn't many better.

    Debuchy Clyne PVA Chester Hutton

    DDG and Debuchy play every week obviously. Clyne plays every week from GW 2. Chester takes the 3rd spot for the first few weeks with PVA covering after. and Hutton rhymes with mutton.

      Pulis was the only reason i had Palace defenders(2 of em and a 3rd comin in a few weeks ie Kelly/Mariappa). dont trust em week in week out now
