The Rate My Team Discussion

With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would be prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

For today’s final RMT discussion we’ve managed to grab Mark’s current lineup…

DeGea, Elliot
Ivanovic, Caulker, C Davies, Debuchy, Hutton
Ramsey, Sterling, Mutch, Siggurdson, Young
Rooney, Costa, Giroud

So Mark has currently ditched the Bojan/Sigurdsson rotation and opted for three big-hitters up front. He’s turned down the option of Jovetic and backed Arsenal with three players, despite a testing opening to their season. He’s spent on goal threat at the back with Ivanovic, Caulker and Curtis Davies, whilst he’s banking on Ashley Young to help compensate for the loss of Juan Mata.

      On the one hand you will have a selection problem on the horizon, but for a 4.5 clean sheet in the first GW it's so tempting.

    Everybody is on about Bojan, what about Mame Diouf?? Great seasons behind him in Germany and with the serving from Bojan and easy fixtures ahead. can see the point in Bojan be a more " safe" choice, but still tempting differential

      Had DDG for the majority, changed now though, 3-5-2 isn't the most CS friendly formation anyway, especially with those defenders.

      Hazard is a must. Man city scored the most goals last season, you might regret not having coverage. :/

    Ramsey or Sanchez....everybody jumps and says Ramsey, but.....when all injuries are back (Walcott/Ozil), later in the season, I see Giroud not playing every game and Sanchez moving to out and out striker. Which means Sanchez would perhaps be invaluable.

    True gents I have feeling Hazard will not start. He must a lot if pre season due to World Cup break/injury etc. Fab stared in most if not all of pre season so I'm putting Fab in and can always upgrade to Hazard later on.

      Most folk move to the new thread soon after a post made on a day like this.

      We will revert to normal very soon but, up to 11.30, we needed to keep things steady.
