Off to a flying start... if only the power had gone out before I pulled the trigger on Clyne / Sterling to PVA and Mata at the deadline!
Krul, Elliot
Cahill, Chester, PVA, Hutton, Wisdom
Hazard, Ramsey, Mata, Siggy, Marney
Rooney, Costa, Dzeko
Tentative plan:
Saving FT this week. Cahill to Clyne for GW3. Dzeko and Marney to 5.0 + Sterling for GW4. Of course this is subject to injuries, Mata's form, etc.
Does that sound sensible?Open ControlsMate, I'll be honest. I'd do Mata>Sterling or Fab now. He's looked a fish out of water in the 3-5-2, even in preseason. Has no form at all right now.
Open ControlsMata's performance was shocking, true, but he's still the fulcrum of United's attack, with a run of extremely favorable fixtures on the horizon. That's why I drafted him in the first place, and one poor game isn't enough to change my mind. Plus, I have 3 Chelsea players and Sterling is facing two tough road fixtures, so logic dicates that I stick with my current setup, anyway.
I've done my ACL twice and I'm not about to do it again on the basis of one data point.Open ControlsMate, I'm an obsessive United fan and I'm telling you he's been one of our worst players from the beginning of preseason. And Sterling is fixture proof.
Open ControlsI'm not a Mata fan, and I've gone on record here calling him overrated. But this game is about making calculated, dispassionate decisions.
Also, my condolences about the whole United fan thing.Open Controls
Ok, DZers. I have to admit Fab has thrown a spanner in. Still want Sterling badly but I'm thinking of bringing Fab in for Yaya for now for three reasons.
1. He's going to rise at an astronomical level and he'll definitely looks set to bag points consistently the next few weeks. Obviously home to Leicester looks very tasty.
2. Sterling's price is lower and thus will be easier to bring in later while I ride the Fabwagon.
3. Obviously he could be a ridiculous hit and may not want to transfer him out at all.
Worth a hit?Open ControlsThere's only one answer to your question: possibly.
Sorry I can't do better. 😉Open ControlsI'm assuming that your first FT was Januzaj > Siggy. After looking at your team sit tight, if anything Yaya > Sterling. No point doubling Fabregas with Haz. I dont trust the Sterling-wagon, Liverpool's matchups are poor and he isn't a Suarez or Aguero who performs regardless of competition.
Open Controlsalso if Hazard got the Diego Costa penalty, he could have easily pulled in substantial points plus his BAPs
Open Controlswishful thinking, IMO
"could have" sentences on a 10m midfielder who didn't have a single shot against Burnley = start shopping IMOOpen Controls
Yaya at 11m is a real downer when he looks fat and more interested in a move to PSG than playing for City.
Open ControlsThen I'd advise you go with Sterling, though I'd wait one more week (unfortunately price rise isn't in your favor). I could easily see Sterling blanking next week, and Yaya getting at least an assist if Aguero starts.
Open Controls
if you want fab anyway then get him this week and ride the wave. Better option than Sterling right now imo
Open Controls
alright i'm off
try to keep those knees from jerking! Mata, Haz, and Sanchez are all top notch players and for all we know could be just a week away from a monster haul
catch you guys later 😀Open ControlsMan Siggy came so close to rising again.

can someone tell me how hazard played??
I want to do eriksen&hazard >> fab+sterlingOpen ControlsEven though I am pissed because I had Fabregas over Hazard in most of my drafts, I am keeping Hazard.
Costa was denied a stonewall penalty so Hazard would have a pen if the ref didn't make an error.Open ControlsStonewall? Really? Is this what we've become?
Open ControlsNo chance. Not even in La Liga. He was clear for take off well before Heaton GRAZED his toe and the ball was going out of play. Costa should stop diving so much. He's quite sh*t at it.
Open ControlsI'm guessing you've never played before? When a professional keeper dives full speed at your feet, you either jump or risk serious injury. Also, the ball was nowhere near going out of play: http://www.gfycat.com/JealousTemptingAbyssiniancat#
Open ControlsI played a lot. And that was no jump to avoid injury. Back bowed and leaving a foot in. Knew exactly what he was doing. As did the referee thankfully. I can't believe the state of football these days. Referee finally does the right thing and books a player for cheating and the majority seems to disagree with him. A shambles.

Lost on last page, sorry for repost...
Can I askwhat happened to my 2 goals I have requested from Haz?!?
On a serious note, how was he? Involved, looking fresh, etc? Wasn't able to watch the game due to time difference of +6Open ControlsHe was immaculate. Racked up like 24 BPS without a goal or assist. His dribbles will be of some value this season.
Open Controls
what price tag do we think Moreno will get? 5.5 or 6.0?
Open ControlsI think 6.0 would be about right
Open Controls
A
Open Controls
@TW the fixture for Sunderland was so enticing 🙁 and Siggy playing ManUnited 🙁 🙁
Open ControlsConsidering taking out Sterling and putting in Fabregas, thoughts?
Open ControlsDont
Open Controls
1) Sanchez -> siggy or sterling
2) Giroud -> Bony
3) Caulker -> Chester
Any SuggestionsOpen ControlsDDG
Caulker, Terry, Vlaar
Sanchez, Ramsey, Mata, Fabregas
Rooney, Giroud, Bojan
Bench Given, Bruce, Baird, JamesOpen ControlsUnited have great fixtures and Mata is in his favourite role
Sanchez -> Siggy looks are no brainer and I will have money in my bank to strengthen somewhere elseOpen Controls
Rambling thoughts on early hits/price rises.
I do find it difficult to articulate clearly my thoughts on price rises so please bear with me!
I personally do no mind taking a few points hits early to get on a price rise.(Of course non-playing players eg BDavies, Cameron etc should be addressed first.
Team-
Bego/Elliot
Lovren/Chambers/Hutton/Baird/NTaylor
Sterling/Mata/Ramsey/Hazard/Marney
Rooney/Costa/Austin
0.5 in the bank
1. the planned transfer is Chambers to Clyne. This needs to be done later this week, probably can wait until Friday/Saturday. Predict Clyne will rise by .1, monitor Total FPL. Will leave 0 in the bank.
2. OK, Mata to Fabregas.
- Yes gives 3 Chelsea players, can cope with that.
-Fabregas, predict a .2 rise. Mata predict a .1 drop.
- These may seem small amounts but effectively that drop of .1 from Mata changes alot.
- You are unable to directly swap say Mata to Silva as you are .1 short.
-The .1 you have actually gained from the .2 rise also allows a transfer of Fab to any player who was 9 and is now 9.1
-If, and big if, Mata fails vs Sunderland and Fab does well at home to Leicester then before GW 3 Fab could be up to 9.4 easy and Mata to 8.8
Maybe all of this is me justifying a -4 but i really do feel that early on not losing money on players is vital and its lot easier to make money as all the casuals are actually playing and they herd towards any player who did well in the last week.
Please feel free to tear my theory/ thoughts apart!Open ControlsNo it's sound, mate. And there's normally a reason players are rising or falling. Obviously GW1 is early. But with very strong FPL performers like Siggy, Fabregas and Sterling showing well early this season is a bit of a misnomer. Nothing knee jerk about wanting those players.
Open ControlsIt all makes sense but you could have been in a position to ride these rises and falls by simply holding back just 0.5m from the initial value of your squad.
i.e. keeping it in the bank.
No sympathy from me on your dilemma.Open Controls
Caulker

Really dissapointing 44 this week, had Siggy benched too which was irritating, got extremely good fixtures next week though, hoping for a 70+ if I choose the right captain.
Although I scored badly only problem I can see is Luis, still going to give it another week or two though I think, any recommendations on who to bring in for him?Open ControlsChoose A or B first to five pls A. Debuchy+Ivanovic+Aguero B. Pva+4.5+Aguero
Open ControlsMata to Cesc or a knee jerk too early?
Open Controlsyou went with your gut. I like that.
Open Controls
Reposting this today now that Chelsea have played and Siggy hasn't risen. How do I get Siggy into this team and Jovetic out of this team?
Krul (Foster)
Terry Chester Hutton (Naylor Wisdom)
Hazard Mata Rambo Hendo (Marney)
Rooney Costa Jovetic
Which would you do?
(A) Hazard and Jovetic out for Siggy and Sturridge (if Hazard blanks)
(B) Jovetic and Marney out for Siggurdson and a 6.5 forward (Bojan, Diouf, Naismith)
(C) Mata and Henderson to Stirling and Siggy
(D) Save FTOpen ControlsPersonally I'd go jovetic to a cheap striker and Marney up to Sig.
Open Controls
Any chance B. Davies starts ahead of rose this week? Played him this week and got Hutton's score which was nice but would prefer to start him this week.
Open ControlsOne of them might play not the right since Naughton was sent off, so I guess that improves his chances of starting.
Open Controls
Spurs defensively look good under Pochettino. Anyone else agree?
Open ControlsHenderson to Sterling or sideways? Sterling would obviously be a season keeper.
I've heard someone call Hendo the new Gerrard but I feel frustration awaits at times with him.
Really only had hendo for week 1Open ControlsNot sideways at all. I think that sterling is the Liv mid to have this season.
Open Controlsin other words.,...fix it now.
Open ControlsTadic will be my next move somehow when his wagon starts next week. Kinda want to get him ahead of W Brom though too just don't know how.
Open Controls
Leaves me with
Ram Cesc Sigg Sterl Silva
Costa (c) RooneyOpen Controls
thoughts on a hazard captaincy this GW2
Open ControlsI am quite scared of not owning him. If I had him, I would captain him, Raheem.

Any Dead Zoners play the Dead Team Challenge?

Fellas, I would appreciate your help in solving my Gylfi conundrum. Already missed 0.1 and I just don't see how I can fit him in.
Ramsey - Mata - Stering - Cesc - Albrighton
Ramsey - looks to be a 'season keeper'
Mata - great fixtures and I believe his points are coming...
Cesc - same as above
Sterling - fixtures are crap but his value is rising and he seems to be up for it...
Albrighton - the only way I can upgrade him to Gylfi is if I sell Terry for a hit...sounds a bit silly before LEIOpen ControlsWouldn't stress too much, even though I have siggy, I believe he'll go down in price due to high ownership after a few weeks of blanks.
Open ControlsIt could very well be, JD, but his next two fixtures do look a bit scary for non-owners. I just can't see which one of my mids to lose, though.
Open Controls
He's scored 8 goals for Swansea and only one of them was at home, wait and see how he does in back to back home games vs Burnley and West Brom.
Open ControlsThanks, Ron, but I think that's more of a coincidence than a rule, the away scoring that is.
Open Controls
Sit on it Pep. Look to bring him in in GW4
Open ControlsAnyone selling for Sigg, is going Mata > Sigg it seems, myself included.
Open ControlsBut look at Mata's fixtures, Stup. And if RvP is back, Mata should thrive in more space behind those two. He's a proven EPL / FPL talent with good fixtures.
Open ControlsMany United fans saying Mata is a bit lost at the moment but many seasoned FFS vets are calling it madness.
Your call PepOpen Controls
Siggy off to a great start and is good value but I'm not sure he is worth completely dismantling your team over, especially to lose Terry and presumably give you a benching dilemma each week
Open ControlsMy thoughts exactly Zan.
Open Controls
I wouldn't touch the big four mids, for me I went Austin > Zamora, Wanyama > Siggy for a hit. Zamora will not play for me and I intend to WC after GW3. So for the next 2 weeks I go 3-5-2 with four big mids + siggy
Open ControlsProblem is Bojan is 5.5 and I can't do that :-/
Open Controls
Pep, just get him in for Mata. Neither he or United have any form at the moment.
Open ControlsWow, conundrum. I'd sit in your circumstances.
I have Young and funds in the bank so pretty set on getting him in.Open ControlsCheers, Corrigan, certainly makes sense in your case.
Open Controls
I'm in the same predicament, but with sterling instead of Siggy. Think I'm holding at least another week
Open ControlsAt least fixtures are against Sterling so it doesn't feel as urgent
Open Controls
Cheers all for the answers. I think I will sit on it and lose out on the value, hopefully make up for it in points.
Open Controls
Anyone NOT spending a transfer this week?
Open Controlso/
Open ControlsProbably me...
Open ControlsPep I want in on a Tadic. Ade. Eriksen. Williams. Clyne. Pelle etc etc asap. Beat rises and great options.
Someone besides Sigg must tempt u?Open Controls
Thinking about it even though my team needs a bit of work.
I need to lose Young and get in Siggy but I'd have to do it by either downgrading Baines or Jovetic.
I'd be happy to do either but really Jovetic needs an upgrade as I don't like the cheaper options and I want to switch Baines for either Spurs or Chelsea (Open Controlsneither have obvious option yet under 6m

Pro Tip #34:
Always plan to save your FT after a WC.Open Controls
What's the consensus on Mata to Fab?
Open ControlsHello DZ, have I missed anything?
Open ControlsI'm debating Yaya to Fab for a hit with a view to get Sterling GW4. Sensible?

"It feels like a dream, to be a Manchester United player. Leaving Sporting wasn't easy," said Rojo, who missed Sporting's opening Primeira Liga fixture on Saturday.
"He [Juan Veron] told me about them when we played for Estudiantes."
Reports suggest Rojo will sign a four-year deal, with out-of-favour winger Nani to return to Sporting on loan.Open ControlsIf he's £5.5 I think he's coming into my side.
Bye bye Jones. Hello Dojo...Open Controls
