Interesting point made yesterday about the Mata to Fabregas transfer by Wakey

I agree...the transfer looks like a no brainer...Mata will most likely fall by 0.1 this gameweek(maybe even 0.2 on Sunday before United play) and judging by Cesc's transfers in, he is definitely rising by 0.2 over the gameweek (maybe even 0.3 on Sunday) so that could be a potential swing of +0.5 in team value which is massive early on in the season
Open Controls
-
-
What if mata gets a double figure haul and fab finishes on 2?
Open Controls-
Anything can happen I agree, but Chelsea are the better team with the easier fixture
Open Controls -
Then you lose some points. If it goes the other way you gain some points. Simple
Open Controls-
Point is anything can happen, with all the knee jerks I've witness over the last 24 hours Fabregas is just as likely to lose 0.2 next week

n00b question, how does Mata's value drop to 8.9/8.8 rule out Silva/Ramsey/Cesc/Gerrard/Walcott/Ozil? If you've bought him for 9.0, you surely have 9.0 to buy one of the others, right? Slightly confused with all this value talk now.
Open Controls-
Nope if he drops in value, you can't transfer him out at the initial value...You will have to sell him at a lower value
Open Controls
-
-
I disagree with dropping Mata for the premise of getting him back later. He wont have any easiee fixtures and FTs are too valuable to just keep using them by switching to who scored higher between them in 1 gameweek
Open Controls-
But surely you cant ignore the better team and the team value?
Open Controls-
I know team value is quite important at this stage but I believe that FT are the tools to make your team better by being ahead of the game like getting players just as their team is set for a good run of fixtures etc. More or less you plan for the upcoming gameweeks using evidence from previous ones instead of just chasing points. But thats just me

Thanks for the advice 🙂

I haven't got time for United to improve. They looked poor on Saturday and I'm sure they will struggle against Sunderland too. I want Saturday to come so I can lose Mata for one of the many better options we have already seen. I can't risk missing out so early.
Open Controls -
Fab 1 -0 Hazard we shall see how this ends come GW 38
Open Controls -
So tempted to ditch Mata. Two away games next, and Sigurdsson has two plum ones. I could make the switch then in two weeks switch back to Mata if he's hot or Sterling for the uptick in fixtures. Could be too fickle though.
Open Controls -
Bruce or Bartley to a 4.5 and who???
Please and thanksOpen Controls -
Started with Coutinho thinking he'd be a nice differential, but now I'm regretting not having Sterling. Would it be worth a -4 to go Felipe Luis > Clyne and Coutinho > Sterling? Or would Fabregas be a better option than Sterling? My other midfielders are Sigurdsson, Ramsey, Eriksen, 4.5.
Open Controls -
If Newcastle managed to give City a good game, Liverpool have every chance of winning against them this weekend. I'm looking forward to watching it.
Open Controls-
to be honest in that game..City weren't poor (I mean not that poor) and Newcastle played well..
Open Controls -
We never needed to get out of first gear. Zaba or Sagna should start, Mangala be out to impress if he gets his debut amd Aguero has had another full weeks worth of fitness n training.

Contemplating my second hit of the week. I want Fab vs Leicester and I don't want Mata stinking out my team with a two pointer vs Sunderland.
Open Controls-
*Dodges knee*
Open Controls-
Did you see United? They were dire. I can't guess what will happen at Sunderland. Whereas Chelsea and Fab are on fire from the off.

Do it
Open Controls-
My finger is hovering. Chelsea will make mincemeat out of Leicester.

So many bandwagons and knee jerks after just one game......enough to make me think maybe I am wrong for not cosidering them!!!
Open Controls-
Fab is not a bandwagon. Sterling is a bandwagon. Siggy is not a bandwagon. These are my thoughts regarding the bandwagons.

Need some thoughts here please. Thinking about going from Silva to Fabregas at least for GW2 since Chelsea are home to Leceister and Silva has a tough match against Pool. Thoughts? Also could go Sterling to Fab.
Open Controls -
Yeah Innsie I paid for my lack of bullocks. Aguero captain gw3 will hopefully make up for it 🙂

Am I the only one that thinks Sterling can get points vs City? They didn't look good by any means vs NEW...
Open Controls-
Of course he can. Expect an open game
Open Controls -
City at home is a different animal though. Still, I'd be surprised if Liverpool didn't score
Open Controls -
I'm giving Eriksen another chance this week, so I'll be gutted if sterling does get decent returns
Open Controls
-

i had to take a 4 point hit. i couldnt resist putting in siggy for hendo with the fixtures he has coming up and clyne in for lovren because he looks like a real goal threat... he created plenty of chances for southampton against liverpool. and the saints have brom at home whilst liverpool have city away. was it a good move?
Open Controls-
Yes a great move. Siggy will rise and rise and rise and it's best to get him early. Hendo unproven as a points earner.

Rooney (C) this week.
Don't shoot! Hear me out
My reasoning is the following
-Manchester United are considerably better Away than at Home based off from last season. (vs Swansea is an example)
-Rooney is the focal point of the United attack
-Is on penalties
-Has a spring in his step with being made captain, was proven with his pre-season and the goal vs Swansea with a shite United performance
-Van G will not have anything less than a win against SunderlandOpen Controls-
He will, coz they won't beat Sunderland! !

Jovetic replacement? Nothing in the bank
Open Controls-
I'm in the exact same situation myself. Currently leaning towards saving the FT this week, which gives me another week to scout replacement options and be able to upgrade him without a hit.
Open Controls-
😯
Open Controls-
Reckon he's back to the bench straight away?
Open Controls -
Cheers guys. Only problem is I also have shitters like Young and potentially Luis. Should I bench Jovetic this week?
Open Controls-
Nah I guess if you have him you have to play him.
Open Controls

Hold for one more week. No-one stands out yet. Remy and Gomis could be good picks soon, or you could use the rolled over trade next week to increase fundage
Open Controls -
Zamora
Open Controls -
-
Ah yes Remy, forgot about him. Looked dangerous didnt he....
Open Controls
-
-
None. Find 0.5 for ADe or bony.
Open Controls -
Hold
Put Gomis and Steven Fletcher on your watchlistOpen Controls -
Until I hear he's not starting I'm saving the transfer.
7 penalty area touches, 5 shots, 2 key passes... This is great value for £8mil.Open Controls

I'll give Jovetic another week... Which gives me a benching dilemma... 😉
Play one:
A) Jovetic (LIV)
B) Hutton (NEW)
C) Caulker (tot)
Gotta still be Jovetic eh? 😆Open Controls-
A 🙂
Open Controls -
A
Open Controls -
I'd bench Hutton, AVL were maddeningly inconsistent at home last season.... No Clean sheets in this game i would predict
Open Controls -
A ya dill
Open Controls -
Cheers all 😆
Open Controls -
Gotta be A.
Open Controls -

😆 Just double checking.

If you could pick 3 strikers for GW3 onwards out of the following, who would you pick?
Rooney Sturridge Kun Costa?Open Controls-
Depends if Kun is fit... which is like... never 😉
Open Controls -
Too tough to say now, Rooney would still be there for the good fixtures. The rest need another week to decide I reckon
Open Controls -
Rooney, Costa and whoever's not injured 😉
Open Controls -
Aguero / Rooney / Costa
Open Controls -
I'd say Roo/Kun/Costa but have a look at Studge's fixtures after gw3...Tempting indeed
Open Controls -
Costa , Rooney & Kun.
The Utd / City home & away rotation is amazing, because it picks you captain for you each week.Open Controls

No.

Nah

You have way too much Mata hate. It's blinding your judgement and leading to poor advice for others
Open Controls-
I don't hate him at all. Lovely bloke. Just a poor signing and a poor player for us or any top club.
Open Controls-
Also fancy that comment from a guy who hasn't brought Ramsey in.:)
Open Controls-
My comment has nothing to do with my squad or transfers. You shouldn't be advising others to take unnecessary hits.
Mata to Ramsey for free? Yeah sure you'd consider it, but a hit is ridiculousOpen Controls-
No, it's not. Mata is set to drop in value this week while Ramsey is set to rise. Not to mention the fact that Mata has shown no form whatsoever this (pre)season and Ramsey is Ramsey. It's a no brainer. For me it seems like your comment has everything to do with either your squad(Mata) and/or your hate for Ramsey.

Mids heavily outscoring the forwards... 😛Open Controls-
Not really, I've ended up with 71 points with this lot!

Ramsey/Mata/Siggy/Mutch

I got 80pts with the big 3. I'd imagine strikers will be more consistent with returns.

Exactly, and better captaincy options obviously

Would love some thoughts on Tadic. He looked dangerous on the left.
Open Controls-
Seems to be getting a lot of attention after his game and rightly so. Definitely on my watch list.
Open Controls-
I liked what I saw vs Liverpool. Am thinking of going Marney to Tadic and play him as my 5th mid. Leaving Bojan on the bench. Worth a shot?
Open Controls-
I think it's worth a shot and a nice differential though i'm a staunch 3-5-2 man myself so i might be a bit bias towards that formation. I think Tadic will only get better as the season goes on and gets used more used to the league.
I also have Bojan who i'm keeping for now and not playing, it doesn't look like he'll be dropping in price this week and with any luck he'll find his rhythm and will become a viable option to play if there's any injuries to the mids.Open Controls

Really wanted to hold on to Mata but couldn't resist it. Mata > Fabregas done.
Open Controls -
I have silva sterling mata ramsey
Im thinking silva -> fab is a decent switch looking at city fixtures?Open Controls -
I really want some Chelsea cover at back and currently have Terry. I'm tossing up whether to go
Terry > Clyne and Begovich > Courtois and pocket .5 for a rainy day and still have a Chelsea player at back. Am i mad?
I know Jose says Courtois isn't nailed on but surely he's just trying to appease Cech in saying that.Open Controls -

Young > Fabregas and
Sturridge > Pelle ??Open Controls -
I’m still scratching my head wondering how Baines and Mata Hazard can get me just 5pts! Somehow though I don’t feel the need to ditch them.
Open Controls-
ditch Baines wait for better run of fixtures. Keep the other two they'll come good definitely
