Who are you all putting the armband on for GW2?
Caulker (c) here.Open Controls-
-
I'm serious
Open Controls
-
-
Chester (C)
Open Controls -
Naughton(c)
Oh waitOpen Controls -
probably a Chelsea attacker
cant really give it to Ramsey this week ðŸ™Open Controls -
Caulker? 😯 .. cant see a CS so you relying on a goal.. and while he is a threat he aint gonna score 15 goals a season
Open Controls -
Costa, probably. I'm not expecting him to get double figures though.
Open Controls
-
-
Would I be crazy to captain Hazard over Rooney and Sturridge next round? Cuz that is where the armband is right now.
Open Controls-
Not at all. Fancy him to do well.
Open Controls -
not at all, h v Leicester, better than away at sunderland or man city respectively
Open Controls -
I'm seriously considering him. Its between Hazard and Costa for me
Open Controls -
could be Newcastle-esque
Open Controls -
Not at all, I thought Haz looked good yesterday and could easily have got a few more points.
Open Controls
-
-
Did Gibbs to Clyne already, but I have Eriksen +1m itching to be turned in to Fabregas... I'm prepared to be give Mata time but the -4 here has to make sense, doesn't it?
Courtois
Jones van Aanholt Clyne
Ramsey Sterling Eriksen Mata
Rooney Costa Bojan
(Krul, Baird, Duff, Albrighton)Open Controls-
I´d give Mata one more GW
Open Controls -
Looks like a good move to me. You need to get in a chelsea mid and with Fabregas rising you can make some money too.
Chelsea looked fantastic and they are only going to improve as the season goes on.Open Controls-
Chelsea did look fantastic, it's true, and Fab looked the pick of the bunch. But they also really took their foot off the gas with a 2 goal lead, I dunno if they'll score as many goals as we'd like. Tot's fixtures look good, I'm sticking with Eriksen. But it's a tough call.
Open Controls
-
-
I think Mata and Eriksen should both be given more time and they both have good fixtures this weekend. The problem you have is the same as me. Mata is 42% through a price drop because too many casuals are doing Mata>Sterling or Mata>Silva without looking at the upcoming Monday night fixture.
I'm still going to stick with him though, even when he drops....at least for a few more gameweeks....Open Controls

Morning, two things I need your guys advice on.
1. Play Austin or Caulker (playing his old club)
2. Keep Lamella this week or transfer to Tadic??Open Controls -
your always going to get kneejerks, especially this early on in the season.
i currently hold young. always knew he was a risk. he was poor on sat but with no imminent replacement ready in the next 2-3 games, and with those fixtures hes worth keeping
could easily upgrade now to hendo, but sometimes it pays to take a step back and look at the pre season form and upcoming fixtures.Open Controls-
I agree here. My plan is to leave him until after week 3 then upgrade to a 6m player. Hend looks good with fixtures from there
Open Controls -
Young is hard to own at the moment. I need to use my transfer this week to get Chambers out. Otherwise I might of been tempted to do:
Young>9M
Sturridge>8.5M
Got 0.5M ITBOpen Controls-
Why do you need to get Chambers out? There's no rush there, is there?
Open Controls

So ive started with 3 big hitters upfront fully aware that this year there were loads of options in midfield. Basically cause i like no forward below 10.5 and i looked at the price list and saw a lot of potential midfield bargains ie Siggy(worked), Soton mid, Young(huge fail), Puncheon, Henderson etc.. FAbregas, Sterling etc are soooo temptin though. Should i admit i may have made a mistake and just switch to a heavy mid with a hit? or stick to my guns and play with 3 big guys upfront and trust the likes of Henderson/JWP/Puncheon etc for that 4th spot in midfield?
been playin 6 years now and usually a strategy works as long as patience is used. Last year i got totally caught out though. Wonderin if a few hits early on better than a lot of chasing later on
Repost cause i'm a bit worried.
tl;dr: stick to my guns with a 3-4-big 3 and trust the lower priced mids or switch to a 3-5-2 and be safe and not lose more ground and value?Open Controls-
I honestly think Sterling is much better value than Sturridge. And I own neither.
Open Controls -
The problem with having all the value in one position is that it reduced your flexibility to transfer.
For example, since I have 2 10.5 up front and one 8.5 I could afford mata, even though he didnt do well I only need one FT to transfer to somebody like Fab.
I think three big hitters up front is easier when you have the TV to back it upOpen Controls-
the plan honestly was to have 3 money banks upfront so i could make a straight swap to a mid priced striker that stood out( as i dont like any of the options below 10.5 currently) and use the spare cash to upgrade young to Sterling. all the price rises etc forcing my hand though, and apart from maybe Pelle and maybe adebayor no one looks like they gonna step up

SwissWavey i just saw your long detailed reply last page! thank you!
Open Controls-
Not much help, but thought you'd like to know there's at least one other tortured soul who's battling with the same problem!
Open Controls-
😆 .. you sticking with your big guns? i may just give it a week atleast before making a decision. really hoping a budget mid/forward stands out this week(or Remy confirms he is staying!)
Open Controls-
Yeah, sticking for one more week then I'll swap two of them for Aguero and A.N.Other
Open Controls
-
-
-
-
I like your strategy. It's very unusual that 4 premium mids score 10+ points in the same week. It was the opposite last year so your idea wasn't a bad one. I would say that it's safer to have one or two premium priced mids, though, but the problem is which one(s) to pick as there are so many options. Because of that I'd stay as you are for now. Swapping Young out and upgrading will be at the expense of 4 points and, in all likelihood, a 2 pt striker - not sure this is the best strategy right now compared with a premium strike force.
Open Controls-
Cheers Pasqual... it did seem well reasoned in my head on friday night too 🙂 .. atleast my strikers should get 20+ goals a season each. gonna save my transfer this week and watch the likes of Hendo/JWP etc like a hawk. if they look anythin like week in week out players im gonna stick to the 3-4-3 else switch for free(hopefully a striker below 8 or so stands out!)

Young is not a huge fail. He just isn't Siggurdsson.
If he hadn't played, THEN he would have been a huge fail.
I will be getting him back, unless MANCHESTER UNITED as a whole crashes and burns. Not wholly unlikely.Open Controls-
wait.. you gettin him back? you sold him? 🙠..

83 this week 🙂 Mata out for cesc for a FT? Half for more points potential, half to get the TV up
Open Controls-
I'm a fixture man. I'd stick with Mata, not sure Cesc has more points potential if you look at the first 6-10 GWs.
Open Controls-
I agree, but I see the Goal Difference in Man u wins to be slimmer than Chealseas.
Also a part of me wants to wait and keep an eye out on schurleOpen Controls-
Really? It's Jose. He put his foot off of the gas in his opening fixture versus Burnley and CL hasn't even started yet. Not so sure we'll be hammering teams 7-0 Ancelotti style this season.
RVP might be back for the weekend, point to prove. I see goals.Open Controls
-
-
-
I'm thinking about this too. Was hoping to make a decision later in the week but Cesc is looking like rising tomorrow
Open Controls -
83 and you carried mata? Bitter...
Open Controls
-
-
Didn't watch the Chelsea v Burnley game
How was Chelsea at the back?
Who were Chelsea's outstanding attackers? And do you see them replicating that form?Open Controls-
Solid
Fabregas, Haz and Costa also lively. Yes. I already feel for Leicester.Open Controls -
They looked about the same at the back as last season, couple of slip ups but overall good.
Fabregas was a maestro in the midfield. I thought Schurrle had a good game and I'd wager he'll keep his spot, Costa worked hard, Hazard some glimpses but nothing major yet. Think he's still building up some fitness.Open Controls -
-
-
First time player in need of desperate help...
Krul Mannone
Baines Chambers Bruce Moore Duff
Hazard Ramsey Siggy Young Marney
Rooney Costa Giroud
Already done Siggy in for Mata. Any ideas?Open Controls -
Should I sell Mata for Cesc or someone else?
Open Controls-
no
Open Controls

-
Morning guys. What to do with my team this week?
A) mata to fabregas
B) young and terry to Kelly and fab -4
C)) begovic and young to gilks and fab -4
Any takers?
Leaning towards a or bOpen Controls-
It's week two. Leave it. United are better away. And certainly don't take a hit!!!
Open Controls

Should my team for GW2 be:
A.
Krul
Ivanovic Hangeland Bertrand
Tadic Siggy Fab Ramsay Sterling
Adebayor Costa (c)
or
B.
McGregor
Ivanovic Hangeland Jones
Tadic Siggy Fab Ramsay Sterling
Adebayor Costa (c)
And why/any tips are very welcome.
Thanks!Open Controls -
Why are people saying Young has failed after one game? He was one of the better ManU players Sun and his set pieces were a mile better than Mata's. He gets a couple of assists vs Sun and all gravy again. Worth holding for one more week at least IMO. Cant see Van Gaal abandoning his 3-5-2 just yet
Open Controls-
neneneneeeeeejerking...
Open Controls -
vanGaal abandoning his very idea? never. ever.
Young most certainly means having 3 Utd players which seems too much given their performance. Too many good alternatives.Open Controls -
Would you play him or Bojan next game? I have both. And they both did me hard.
Open Controls -
Perhaps because man utd played rubbish against average opposition and Chelsea are at home to Leicester. Having Rooney, mata and young is too much.
Open Controls -
There are better options and I never liked Young as an option. He has been poor for the last 2 seasons and that was not going to change all of a sudden
Open Controls -
his attacking threat really was non existent in that 4-4-2 2nd half. i was a bit worried that with Rafael back he'd lose his spot(with Januzaj taking the other flank). Not to mention Rojo fighting for the CB/LB/LWB spot too
Open Controls
-
-
Kolarov and Clichy rotation when Zabs is back?
Open Controls -
So then...
Mata > Fab before the price rise?Open Controls -
fab gone up 23% in ownership today alone! 94% in total, up to 9.2 by Saturday?
sterling 85%, not rising as fast due fixtures I would supposeOpen Controls -
Fabregas is ESSENTIAL. Just not in FPL.
He's a great choice but no way people should downgrade hazard for him.
HOWEVER in the sky sports game I think he'll be essential (as predicted granted but confirmed)
He got passing bonus easy last night, one off tackle bonus and obviously the 2 assists and MOM.
That's a big haul.
He's gotta be in there with Rambo and Yaya in my eyes.
Anyone play sky sports? Anyone?? Hello???Open Controls-
Anyone changing hazard to fab is insane. Utterly insane. Changing any of his fellow 9m cronies after one game is mad but at least there is method to it. But a more attacking player who is nailed on to start in his own team? No. Don't be silly people.
Open Controls -
-
Good choice but not essential. Downgrading another 9m or hazard is too kneejerky.
In sky you get bonus points for passing and tackling and sitting in that double pivot wil be golden for that. Add in the fact that he will no doubt pick up many MOMs all of which mean points in Sky but not FPL, is why sky he's essential, but FPL just a good pickOpen Controls

Saw the highlights of the City game and Jovetic could have made easily 1-2 assists - wasn't as poor as people made him out here imo,
At least feeling better now keeping him for at least 1 GW longer now. 😀Open Controls-
problem is kun is lurking
Open Controls-
He won't start again (until kun gets injured). He was good. But dseko was better
Open Controls-
True, but people here make it sound like Dzeko had some brilliant game, really didn't see that personally.
Open Controls
-
-
Of course! But that's a given, no? Can see Kun coming in 60-70min against Pool. Just wanted to point out that he wasn't that bad that Peel would be forced to remove him from starting XI.
Open Controls

My team:
Lloris (Krul)
Clyne Terry Chester (PvA, Moore)
Mutch Siggy Ramsey Mata Silva
Costa Rooney (Nugent)
Should I make any changes or transfers?Open Controls -
Whats your verdict on Young. Would you use FT to get rid or just bench him and enjoy two FT's the week after?
Open Controls-
if you don't have siggy, get rid off him
if you do have siggy, save ftOpen Controls
-
-
Quite happy with this lot for gameweek 2
Begovic
Jones Terry Debuchy
Cesc Eriksen Ramsey Sterling
Rooney Costa Bojan ..
Gilks Wisdom Chester Moore
Thoughts ?.Open Controls -
Okay I just made my transfers. For a -8 I did..
Eriksen to sterling
Mata to Cesc
Sanchez to Ramsey
Good?Open Controls-
not sure eriksen to sterling was necessary, but in the long term that should pay off
yes looks goodOpen Controls -
Terrible
Open Controls -
-
Or better still sanchez to fab for free and forget the others
Open Controls
-
-
Eriksen is probably the bargain of the season @8 for me 🙠..
Open Controls -
Lol I've been preaching against these moves for the last 7 hours, don't be silly!!
FT still intact 😎Open Controls -
All sideways. Waste of points.
Open Controls -
Just one per week - in the reverse order to how you listed them. That's what I would've done
Open Controls
-
-
I find it amusing peope considring Mata to Fab after 1 game. If the ref had correctly given the penalty it would be Hazard you all want. Stop knee jerking and give players time to get in to the season
Open Controls-
If you have a FT you may as well do it for Chelsea at home against Leicester and gain the value for Fab going up and Mata most likely going down...
Open Controls
-
Anyone thinking about selling Rooney in a week or two to get Aguero? United are not what they used to be and unless they make some good signings I might stay away from them this season
Open Controls-
whatever United maybe Rooney will always get points...remember that...
Open Controls-
Someone has to make way and having the big 3 of Rooney, Costa and Aguero will really destroy rest of the team.
Chelsea are looking good so i think Costa is a keeper. That leaves Rooney, if Aguero does go mental then who else will make way for him.Open Controls
-
-
Definitely one to watch. Although at the moment it looks like Rooney will get the lions share of Man Utd points.
Open Controls -
-
That's what I'll be doing. Keeping Rooney - for now, at least
Open Controls
-
-
-
Morning guys. What to do with my team this week?
A) mata to fabregas
B) young and terry to Kelly and fab -4Open Controls-
none are essential at the moment..I would say..wait for another week
Open Controls-
Fab seemed pretty essential last night.
Open Controls
-
-
Wouldn't be getting rid of Terry.
Mata to fab depends on how much you care about your overall team value. You'll probably lose 0.3 maybe 0.4 by not getting fab this week, but could regret it if Mata does well. I have exactly the same decision to make and can't decide yet! Glad no price moves last night so I had another day to think on it.Open Controls
-
-
Thoughts on McGregor or Krul for keeper this GW?
Same with Bertrand or Jones in def?Open Controls -
terry/Mata->Cesc/clyne for -4?
Own Costa & HazardOpen Controls-
Chelsea aren't going to score shed loads against everybody and I'd want to keep a Chelsea defender. Nice thing about Chelsea defs is the cs potential even in the tough fixtures.
Open Controls-
Agreed. And you never know, Terry might get his head on one of Fab's FKs/corners.
Long run, I'd want both Fab and Clyne in my team though, so I've seen worse ideasOpen Controls

Eriksen or Mata to Sigurdsson? Thanks in advance.
Open Controls-
You are a bit late. Does it have to be one of those? Mata, perhaps.
