With Gameweek 1 concluded, it’s time to delve a little deeper into the data in our first “Big Numbers” article for members of the campaign. We analyse the display of Arsenal’s new wide man against Palace, the QPR front pairing at home to Hull, Liverpool’s ever-improving youngster, Southampton’s delivery under Ronald Koeman and United’s weekend scorer in the 2-1 home loss to Swansea.

Poll: In one word, who has transferred Mata and who is intending to keep?
Open Controls -
I'm sure it's been asked over and over...
Is it worth -4 for Haz to Cesc to catch price for a long termer?
Would give me 4m ITB
Rambo, Sterling, Cesc, Siggy
Roon, Costa, Bojan.Open Controls -
Thoughts on Ward Prowse folks ?...hard to ignore with those fixtures and set piece duties..nailed on ?...He seems like the perfect double up for Pelle and his heading abilities as far as Southampton goes..
Open Controls-
He is a good pick, but Davis is sounder, imo.
Open Controls-
Why Davis Doosra?...Decent pick but why him over Ward Prowse (assuming he's nailed his place)
Open Controls-
More central to everything that Southampton do. Not averse to the odd goal.
Open Controls

-
I don't have 0,5 just lying around you know Wakey 😆
Open Controls -
If we became more sure he was nailed on I'd buy him instantly. Not sure that's going to happen though
Open Controls -
Good pick if u ask me
Open Controls -
High on the watchlist for me. Waiting to check he's nailed. Sthmptn fixies are wunderbar.
Open Controls -
Looked really good on Sunday...
Open Controls -
He had an awesome game vs Liverpool but I think there's too much competition for his place for him to be a long term option.
Open Controls-
-
When fully fit I believe they'll play 4-3-3 with 6 players (Davis, Taider, Wanyama, Schneiderlin, Cork and JWP) competing for the 3 midfield spots. You're probably better off asking Lucy though.
Open Controls -
Vargas loaned to QPR?So what happens to Austin now?
Open Controls
-
-
-
Too many other options, too few spots. Something has to make way and too often it may be JWP.
Open Controls -
Great pick when he plays, but I'd worry about his game time. Think Long/Pelle/Tadic could well be the first choice forwards, with Wanyama/Schneiderlin/Davis the midfield three. That's speculative, but I wouldn't go there until the window's shut, and we have a better idea of Southampton's line up.
Open Controls
-
-
Aguero will start this week. If he wasn't right (well as right as he ever is) Pelle would not have bought him on for a game that was effectively won already. He will not bench his best player v Liverpool.
Open Controls-
So you think Jovetic is the one to go or Dzeko?
Open Controls-
Jovetic for sure
Open Controls -

You said similar things about Suarez not starting vs England in the WC. 🙄
Open Controls-
So keep him then. I offer my opinion, you make your own decision.

guys whats your scores ? mine is 74 is that good or bad
Open Controls-
lol
Open Controls -
Shyte. 100 or more is good
Open Controls -
Check the FPL site. They're all there.
Open Controls -
Instead of spamming on here look at the FPL site, look at your rank, look at the average score, look what your mates got. Oh wait, you already did 🙄
Open Controls -
Good. And you know it.

Give this guy a vacation plz
Open Controls

I just remembered. fiso is only to help you decide when you should make a transfer the moment you let it decide who you bring in is the moment you make bad decisions. Calm down and don't get Sterling yet. Next week will still be fin 0.2-0.3 will not be the worst I lose out on this season.
Open Controls -
Looking at all those transfers out, it seems like Mata, Hazard, Giroud, Luis, Shaw et al will all be a bargain price at some stage this season.
I know at least one other poster who will be keeping a close eye on this.Open Controls-
Luis on my radar when nailed.
Open Controls

If a price rise is on 190% will it start at 0% tomorrow, or 90%?
Open Controls-
0%.

So I set up a Sky team to give me something to do before FPL opened.
Just checked it for the first time.. 16 points. Lots of picks that were not ideal, to say the least. Huge contrast to my FPL team 😉
https://fantasyfootball.skysports.com/team/view/4009069/Open Controls-
Hmm. I did the same. No idea who I selected. We should have a dead team Sky league?
Open Controls -

Sure, if you want.
Remember, a player has to rise by 0.2M for you to gain a profit when you sell them.Open Controls

Walcott is already 35% of the way to a drop 🙂
Open Controls -
With 20 up votes and much discussion, why hasn't this been made a hot topic?
http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2014/08/19/the-big-numbers-gameweek-1-3/?hc_page=11#hc_comment_7986759Open Controls-
By God must be that prevailing attitude. 😉
Open Controls -
Well ...
Open Controls -
I thought it was just a poster expressing their feelings, not really a 'Fantasy Football' Hot Topic ?
But I'm glad the community engaged and supported it.Open Controls-
Well that's rather lax. I was actually pointing out a problem with the site and its moderation.
If it was supported, it implies that my 'feelings' were justified ones. It certainly wasn't 'just' anything but a rather important issue.Open Controls-
Not lax at all, just not 'football' related.
Like I said, I'm glad you got some positive feedback and support though.Open Controls-
But the moderators plan to do nothing to tackle an issue that is so well supported?
Open Controls-
Send an e-mail to Mark if you feel so strongly on the issue.
Open Controls-
I don't think an email to Mark would say anything that the topic didn't cover, between the many posters that responded.
Open Controls-
I think Mark is much more engaged and observant when it comes to issues that affect the reputation of his business enterprise than any of the mods.
Open Controls
-
-
-

-
-
With all due respect, it has nothing to do with fantasy football.
Also, it's a general assumption when I'm sure most of use are not like that.
That's just my honest opinion.Open Controls-
Well, then you are a tad unobservant.
Open Controls-
Maybe. But honestly, when I'm on this site, I never see this issue.
Open Controls-
I wouldn't say never, but when you compare this site to many other forums/comment sections around (football ones especially) the respect between posters is much higher. Quite amazing really and why it's so enjoyable.
Open Controls-
Just because attitudes are worse elsewhere, it doesn't mean that this site and its members can't work on their own problems.
Open Controls

I've seen the sexism, reported it, but as far as I can tell it's being ignored. Mods just may not be Davy enough to recognize it.

hi lucy, i dont want to say this is taken seriously as it implies it isn't normally. it's always taken seriously. don't know what to say really as for example if i ask for examples it comes across as doubting you. the 2 reports i can remember recently came across more as creepy to me than obviously sexist (i appreciate as a guy my opinion holds less weight). these were the comments asking who your favourite player was or something. i dont like these as why bother to ask, even if not meant in a malicious way it's unnecssarily treating someone different to a male poster.
i personally havent seen the reports about darling etc, i'll be honest i don't check all the emails as they are coming in 24/7 and whilst i care i have other things to do. so yeah i can't really comment without knowing the full details. these wont get lost though, just means i havent personally seen them.
your discussion is a good thing for the site.
for some of the repliers earlier please name names, as for example i'd like to know if i'm one of these people falling foul in some wayOpen Controls-
Oh I was reporting him for harassment more than sexism. I didn't report the darling comment as I didn't see anything happen but I can flag it for you now if you like.
Open Controls-
Not that flagging one comment will do anything to damage the prevalence of the 'lad' culture that a few members have picked up on.
Open Controls-
it's tricky, for example the chelsea physio is a problem area. when a chelsea player goes down injured i almost fear more about the comments than the whether my player is injured or not. it does cross the line, i don't think the issue is spotting it, more how to deal with it when it's a mass of people crossing the line in such a fast moving set of pages. would like to try and re-assure you that it's not like the warehouse section of the office (the tv show) behind the scenes, it's not a boys club. for example the latest person to cross the line has been talked to, explained why it caused offence, and has since apologised to yourself (obviously repeat offences can then lead to bans).
i did make a comment over the summer (possibly late spring) when things were getting particularly boisterous one time how the chat could be off-putting to females. i dont think it held too much weight but there was some support and at the time there were emails from flagged comments so it was a discussion behind the scenes in the after-math too. you're spot on saying just because it's worse on other sites it doesn't mean it's a reason to relax. it could be useful if it was a hot topic, might be worth bending the normal rules for once. alternatively maybe mark will come in with a post tomorrow morning as when other more serious issues arise which always at least gets stickied and as his name/grav is attatched to it is read.Open Controls-
Gravs are another example. I think it's expected and acceptable that some people use attractive females as gravs. Some arguably cross the line. For example there's one well known grav here that barely manages to include a face with the cleavage. It's probably not an issue when it's just boys, but when women start to participate does the line have to move?
Open Controls-
yeah. as bad as it sounds i find those gravs quite useful as to put it bluntly they often turn out to be problem posters. it's like an early warning sign

i do feel a bit ridiculous talking to you like this btw. still getting used to the mod tag.

Would activating my WC be really, really wrong? Even if just to build TV and switch back afterwards to a near (the same) team? Would it...

Dammit 😀 I'm just trying to figure out when the "right time" would be to use it is. .5 could be amazing short term, but oh well.
Open Controls

Have a drink, mate. Have two. 😉
Open Controls -
Crazy IMO.
A well times late-season WC can be worth 50 points.Open Controls-
Thanks, I'll keep it well in check then! I'm just hoping for a big week now so my players show their true potential.
Open Controls

No I've done it twice in week 2 before and they have both been my most successful seasons top 2k top 3k, so it can work, go with your gut feeling.

Wow, first success story I've heard of an early WC. Well played.
