Gently does it. Granville and I ease ourselves into the season with another thirty-minute bite-size podcast, gradually building up our fitness before we go full tilt next month.

Yes, it’s just the pair of us again, cuddling up in our intimate studio to discuss the events of Gameweek one, whilst casting one eye on the fixtures and events to come this weekend.

We get through the usual array of regulars, with Granville explaining how a wedding and a bout of childcare threatened to ruin his campaign, just as it gets out of the blocks. We reach out to all those Siggy benchers, whilst picking the bones out United’s limp corpse following their opening day defeat. We then chat Fabregas vs Hazard, Ivanovic vs the rest (they’re going to run and run) and sing Ultimate’s praises for helping the previously unloved play their part in our Fantasy seasons.

Pick at the buffet via this link, or dash straight to the main course via the handy player below….

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

You could sex it up with some mozzarella and make a panini. Throw some pesto on there for good measure as well.

In the U.S., or at least in Texas, we have chicken salad sandwiches, which do have bread. We also have just chicken salad.

We I live we might just shorten it to a chicken sandwich because its generally assumed there is salad as well. Thought I'd might try and be more specific to avoid confusion.

So does that salad part just refer to lettuce? Salad where I'm from is a stand alone dish, except, ironically, for the chicken salad sandwich.

I'm leaning toward Wayne...but will wait to see what the deal is with RVP...if RVP is playing then I might just go with the crowd on Costa. But for me, the beginning and end of the season is the best time to take a punt on a captain! Worked with Rambo last week haha

I keep seeing so many people, including some here right now who have simply wasted a completely decent FT on transferring out Chambers.

Is it just my back five where Chambers is not the weakest link?

Chambers STARTED for Arsenal. Regardless of his future plight, Chambers can't be the first transfer for so many?

Keeping all season. Bruce and/or Bartley are dire concerns of mine, and Chester is simply one wagon ill skip for now.

It was a one week failed punt, however I myself and I think even Wenger have seen how useful the lad is.

He wasn't brought in to play in the reserves, and as I stated a little earlier tonight, I think he will play 20-25 matches, many of those as a starter be it cb, fb or holding mid.

        Just my two.

I'm guilty of transferring him out, but I have Debuchy as well. Got burned by playing them both last week, so thought wiser of it. I got him out for Dummett...which might not work out in the long run, but it gives me an extra .5m to play with, so that was my reasoning...if I didn't have another Arsenal back I would have kept him though. For what it's worth, coming from a gooner, he has looked sharp.

                    No probs.

Wait on a QB, stack up on as many of those RB's and WR's as you can and then take Cutler. Should be able to get him in the 9th or 10th rnd.

It is silly the extent over which I'm agonizing over who to start on defence. It is down to Chester and Pieters, who play against one another. I honestly don't see either team scoring more than one, maybe a 0-0 is on the cards
I thought that Hull might be tired from their EL game, but they actually had only two of the same starters (Chester & MacGregor) from week1.
Other starting defs are Clyne (WBA) and NTaylor (BUR).

Any brilliant insights would be appreciated.

I'd go Pieters. I think Stoke have a better attack than Hull do. Don't think there's a clean sheet to be had in that game, but if there is a shutout I reckon it'd be Hull the ones who don't score.

          Cheers.
My gut says the same, but my analytical side insists that Hull keep most of their cleanies at home, and that Stoke have a woeful time away from home, notably in the goal scoring department.

I feel strange thinking so much about a Hull v Stoke fixture. If it weren't for FPL the match would be completely ignored.

The bookies seem to think that Stoke are more likely to get a clean sheet then Arsenal for instance. Also the odds for the under 2.5 goals are low for the stoke v hull game.

Not sure who, if anyone on this site would openly condone that transfer. Caulker was incredibly unlucky not to get a goal himself on the weekend, and if it wasn't for a lapse in concentration by Rio, they probably would've kept a clean sheet too. Each to their own, though.

My question was aimed less at which specific player I could bring in, and more at which of the 3 players I currently have that I should be prioritizing on moving out. I thought it would be useful to list some potential replacements is all 🙂

Essentially, should I look to move Chambers, Davis, or Bojan first?

Yeah thats the one that makes the most sense imo right now. I'm hoping Tadic has a good weekend so becomes somewhat of a bandwagon that I can get on to get a nice rise. I wouldn't mind Davis scoring though, but long-term Tadic seems the best bet. I'm curious about Cabella too, if he performs he could be a great option too.

There is absolutely nothing at 8.0 or less than excites me as far as forwards are concerned. Hopefully someone like Pelle could change that though and give me a good option as an upgrade for Bojan, though I think I'd ideally like to give Bojan 3-4 weeks to prove himself first.

Katie, do you think Monk will roll out the 4-4-2 for the home games? I am inclined to think he will. Doesn't necessarily mean that Gylfi can't produce FPL points from the wing, but at least it would give me more hope. Anything to dent off Gylfi's potential while I am Gylfiless will do!

I would've said very good chance until Siggy's performance last weekend. But he still may. Gomis is definitely too good to sit the bench at Swans on a consistent basis.

The fact you are still Gylfiless is terrible. Did you miss the Michu and Ramsey bandwagons as well? I know I did, which is why I was all aboard this one long before the season started.

I honestly have no idea, nothing like that has been reported in local press.

I think the team will remain unchanged fwiw. Gomis and Montero's time will gradually increase and if Bony stays the team will morph into 4-4-2.

Funny that I'm quite content with Giroud. On penalties now that Arteta is out. Main striker for a team that scores a lot. Everton is not an easy fixture, but he has a good chance for some atracking returns.
The only problem is that his price may drop (probably saturday at the rate things are going). If Giroud blanks on saturday, then I may have a real dilemma.
