Siem de Jong is available for Newcastle’s trip to Aston Villa. Antonio Valencia and Jonny Evans join Robin van Persie in returning to full training for United. Mikel Arteta is ruled out of Arsenal’s trip to Everton. Marc Albrighton could return for Leicester’s clash with Chelsea at the Bridge, whilst Palace and West Ham have doubts in defence as the pair prepare to square up at Selhurst Park.

Newcastle have been boosted by the return of Siem de Jong from injury, with Alan Pardew confirming that the summer signing will be in the squad to face Aston Villa. Meanwhile, Cheick Tiote is will miss out once more with a hamstring injury, though Pardew has revealed that the midfielder has started running outside, as he works towards taking part in full training.

Manchester United could welcome back Antonio Valencia for the trip to Wearside, with the winger having returned to training this week. Reports confirm both Jonny Evans and Robin van Persie were also back in full training yesterday.

Arsene Wenger has conceded that Mikel Arteta will miss the weekend clash with ex-club Everton, after the midfielder sprained his ankle in midweek. Wenger also suggested that he “will check” whether the German contingent of Per Mertesacker, Mesut Ozil and Lukas Podolski are available for selection ahead of the trip to Goodison Park.

James Tomkins has added to Sam Allardyce’s concerns at the back, with the central defender a doubt to face Crystal Palace after missing the opener due to injury.

Crystal Palace’s caretaker boss Keith Millen could be without Scott Dann for the weekend, with the defender rated as having an outside chance to face West Ham. Dann will undergo further assessment today, though the Eagles boss could welcome back Adrian Mariappa to the squad after injury. Jonny Williams is fit again and available for selection, whilst Jerome Thomas could also be in contention to feature.

Nigel Pearson is hopeful that Jamie Vardy and Marc Albrighton will be in the squad to face Chelsea, with the pair taking part in full training during the week. However midfielders Danny Drinkwater and Matty James look set to miss the trip to Stamford Bridge through injury, though Pearson suggests the duo “aren’t far away” from a return.

Saints boss Ronald Koeman has revealed that Gaston Ramirez will miss the weekend visit of West Brom with a groin injury. Koeman will also assess the fitness of new defender Florin Gardos before deciding whether or not to include him in the squad to face the Baggies – the centre-half missed out last weekend due to a hamstring problem.

West Brom boss Alan Irvine has confirmed every player aside from Joleon Lescott finished full training yesterday, with the likes of Gareth McAuley and James Morrison returning to action after missing the home draw against Sunderland last time around.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official twitter stream as breaking news unfolds.

If they do sign Balotelli, I think Liverpool won't do as well. He scores, but is more a solo guy rather than a team player IMO. And in this game, you need to play as a team.

Even Suarez, for all his 'antics' was a good team player IMO

Interesting insight for any Luis owners from the Guardian:

"Chelsea fans will be eager to see their new man in action against Leicester on Saturday but Mourinho would be wise to stick with the Spaniard. Being right-footed at left-back, Azpilicueta would well be suited to nullifying Leicester’s chief threat down the right flank, Riyad Mahrez, who likes to cut in on his left foot. Luís time will come, but the scurrying efficiency and defensive understanding Azpilicueta already has with John Terry in central defence means the Brazilian is by no means first choice yet."

No guarantees that Jose will view this the same, but we might not be seeing Luis making his debut quite so soon.

        Not likely imo IM.

I've called it that Luis has been brought in as they had no cover at LB. He will get a chance eventually but JT won't be dropped unless he shows signs of tiring. I can see Luis starting in cups and champions league with JT getting rests there.

Delighted I got the Cameron, Bavies, Luis calls all correct btw 8)

Yep that's another strong possibility, seems like a lot of money to spend on someone to then not play them but I suppose Chelsea can afford to ease him in for a year and then slowly bring him to the fore (if he deserves it) ahead of an ever-aging Terry or Ivan could be the one to eventually miss out...

Who knows. All 5 defenders have a case for starting.

All 5 have a case for starting but 16m is not that much money in todays game when you see the likes of davies going to spurs for 10m for back up so imo Luis case is the weakest of anyone's. He will get games eventually and may play his way into the team but I don't see JM rushing him in as he doesn't need to.

I'm assuming you are being sarcastic. We analyse the next six fixtures carefully for clean sheets and attacking threat and also take into account form.

Don't recall Bony scoring last week - but he's risen. And Ramsey and Fabregas are high because their form is good from last season - in Ramsey's case, and pre season as well in both cases.

Surely you aren't suggesting we don't advise people to get in good players? 😉

Rooney has great fixtures and scored last week...seems foolish to force him down the list.

Well for me watchlist is nowadays (last season too) more like players previous game + next fixture, can't see so much as next 6.

I am positive that one of Mata and Siggy will blank and Bojan will score FPL pts. I just can't make my self to bench any of those 2. I am thinking Mata to the bench. Hull will be knackered from Europa League and had terrible defensive stats. I like Bojan underlying stats too and another benched pts (ala Siggy GW1) its gonna hurt a lot.

SAFC game won't be that easy for Utd IMO
