Saturday’s schedule concludes with the headline act. Arsenal make the trip to Goodison Park looking to build on the stuttering 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on the opening day. The Toffees meanwhile, will also be looking to improve on their first showing, having been pegged back to 2-2 by newly promoted Leicester a week ago.

Arsene Wenger rings the changes with a few surprises. He welcomes back two of his German contingent as Mesut Ozil and Per Mertesacker return to the starting lineup. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also starts, while Nacho Monreal comes in for Kieran Gibbs at the back. Santi Cazorla and Laurent Koscielney drop to the bench, with Calum Chambers retaining his start at the back. Olivier Giroud again starts from the bench with Alexis Sanchez set to be fielded in a central attacking role.

Roberto Martinez also tweaks his lineup with Seamus Coleman and Kevin Mirallas drafted in – John Stones and Aiden McGeady make way.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    0.5 in bank. Any suggestions for transfers? I really want Clyne in but I realistically need to do it tonight before he rises in price. That said, I want Hazard in too! Got no ideas.....

        He doesn't. They'd have to go back to 4 at the back, unless they play him cm with Herrera. That would be very weak defensively though

        They can still play 3-5-2 with Di Maria in a midfield 3 on the right. That's where he played for Benfica.

          I can't see that working at united at all, that would effectively mean playing with only one genuine CM, and even then it would be Herrera who is more attacking than most. And with that defence... It would be suicide.

          They play a 5-2-1-2 though so he doesn't fit if they keep wing backs as he would be paired in the pivot with Herrera, or RWB. Both poor fits as he is too weak and suspect defensively
