Just looked up the Messi goals. I think it's a matter of time before even Utd fans stop trying to compare Ronaldo to him. Messi is the best ever. And it's comfortable.

    1. Somalion
      • 15 Years
      11 years, 3 months ago

Massive Messi fan but I think some of this depends on certain factors.

For example, Messi is the best in La Liga, absolutely.

Ronaldo has shown he can be incredible in the BPL and LL, Messi hasn't shown that (I don't doubt him but I think it would be good for him at some stage to show his quality in another top league...)

      1. Hailzter
        • 13 Years
        11 years, 3 months ago

Messi has shown in the Champions League that he can play against top Premier League teams and this time he also showed his quality during the world cup. The fact that he's loyal to Barcelona shouldn't be used as an argument against him.

        1. Somalion
          • 15 Years
          11 years, 3 months ago

CL and playing in the PL are very much so different.

He was great in the world cup, no doubt.

I'm not saying that at all but the point is some could argue that a lot of his goals come against bad defending (btw, in my view Messi is the best in the world) and to dispel such opinions it would be good if he had some time in a league where the defending is considered to be better.

You could improve your back-line, but that will cost you one of the big-time midfielders I reckon.
As for City cover, you could always get Dzeko or Silva in, and if Dzeko spend towards a better defense.

I have 2 FTs and no idea what to do 😯

DDG Clyne - Collocini - Caulker
    Fabregas - Mata - Ramsey - Siggy
    Rooney - Costa - Dzeko

    Gilks - PvA - Albrighton - Chester

    - could change Chester - he's suspended, but I didn't plan to play him anyway, so may keep him as well, as I want him long-term
    - could downgrade DDG, but not sure if someone is really appealing to be played every week, and United have good fixtures to come now
    - could change Caulker, bu he plays SUN (H), so pretty good fixture, and I may give him 1 more week - could change Albrighton, but no 4.5mid is really appealing atm

    What do you guys think..?

Have you people noticed that Ivanovic is playing almost like Maicon used to play with Mourinho? Sure, the real Maicon was ten times the player Ivanovic is, BUT he is playing almost like an added winger with Fabregas waiting for him and opening for him on the right kind of how Thiago Motta used to do with Maicon(obviously Maicon was a flash train and Ivanovic is not but still).

The only difference is that Inter had no wings at all while Chelsea has Hazard, Willian, Schurrle(who's not really a winger) and Salah. It's interesting.

    Krul, Foster
    Lovren, Jones, Rio, Chester, Hutton
    Hazard, Hendo, Ramsey, Mata, Siggy
    Costa, Rooney, Austin

Built my team around Hazard but lack of cash forces me to sell + Austin injury& price fall.

    A) Austin, Hazard to Naismith, Cesc for free this week
    B) Hendo + Jones to Sterling + PVA -4 next week (then rotate Naismith with 5 man midfield).
