What do people honestly think the merits are of saving a wildcard my highest ever position was when I wildcarded early as it gave me funds to spend really early on and I tried saving my wildcard last year and had a shocker.

Yeah I'm not saying that but to get a good team early on makes things a lot easier later on.

I'm determined to save it for that massive FA Cup DGW in the spring and just be like BOOM and put the fear of god into my rivals

But by then you'll be putting high owned players in anyway and the points difference could be far too superior.

        There's no correct time.

I think GW6 is a good time to assess who are the hits and the flops

But yeah saving it for March/April time is too late imo

Lots of transfer activity and players settling after World Cup, so use it later when form is clearer

The nice thing about saving it for me is that it's hard to mess up when it's spent on double game weekers. The margin of error is much smaller than right now, when it's hard to tell who's best of Hazard, Fabregas, Sterling, Ramsey, Mata, Lamela, Eriksen etc. That said, if you think the wildcard will improve your team right now, by all means bust a move early.

      9. RubberDucky
          11 years, 3 months ago

I use my WC early and am using it this season in GW3, the reason for this is later on in the season values can fluctuate so much that even with a WC you cant get all the players you want.

I try to hold out till the transfer window ends as its normally still in the air with the big squads, this season is an exception (with the exception to Man Utd) so use it now as you have greater flexibility and I believe the big scoring midfielders have already made themselves known.

ADM coming will influence game time mostly to:

        Mata
        Rooney
        RVP

And I am sure someone is gonna get hurt.

That's was only after 70 mins. It's a drawback for sure but not enough to make me sell him

Besides. ..He still looks like the most likely to get baps provided cahill and ivanovic don't score attacking points. Azpil is irrelevant

Who should I prioritise to get rid of: DDG, Dzeko or both (I have 2FT)?

Not guaranteed gam time with Lennon and Townsend pushing for his spot.

Young! I need young out...unless he plays next game. Have 8.4m to spend. Could get lamela, or de jong, doesn't leave me to get aguero though.

The luckiest thing that happened to Liverpool in the whole game was the injury to Glen Johnson. This lad, he's fooking shite. I've never seen someone jog so much all my life. If that lad hopped the fence at the zoo and a tiger was chasing him he'd still jog the useless coont. 😆

I got him because he allowed me to get Sigurdsson in without dropping an expensive mid. He's the best of a bad bunch and in that Everton team he is relatively fixture proof.

Usually not one for these comparisons but Sánchez and Di Maria are similar in quality and United are paying £40m more than what Arsenal paid. Ridiculous. Never scored more than 7 league goals in his career and he was available for less than £30m last season.

We also had David Moyes in charge last season.

                                whats your problem?

the money isnt coming out of ur pocket?

or is it more the fact that u foolishly thought like everyone else that united without european football wouldnt be able to attract the biggest names and pay the biggest fees?

This 'money coming out of your pocket' thing is BS when United fans always criticize Liverpool and City for their spending.

we were not taken over by some sheikh billionaire and pumped full of cash we earned our money through developing our own players and huge success from doing so.. that would be my only issue there but no real problem with city they can spend what they like thats the way it is..

we are spending big because we need too its simple as that big money needs to be pumped into certain areas of the squad

we dont settle for mediocrity and years of fighting for scraps we are adressing what needs to be addressed

                                    we arent arsenal

Laughable. Arsenal had a project and sacrificed short-term success in order for it to work. Manchester United have no vision.

They're not paying £40m more than what Arsenal paid for Sanchez and while not a great goal scorer Di Maria is still one of the best wingers in the world. Great player and great assistman.

I agree he's one of the best but you'd expect high goalscoring returns from an attacking midfielder that costs that much. The Sanchez deal was £35m with around £25m up front and the rest in future bonuses. Di Maria is just over £60m rising to £75m.

not really very different kind of players alexis doesn't have the penetration that di maria has .Is a better finisher no doubt but can't open up defenses like adm.Considering this plus that utd need good players desperately before the window ends the deal looks good.

Most people will have to get rid of either Rooney or Costa for Kun. I'm thinking to keep Rooney because

Too early for Aguero imo. Don't think Pelle will start him against Stoke with internationals, UCL, Arsenal and Chelsea coming up for him.

Man City's priority this season is the Champions League.

If they can keep winning by starting Dzeko and Jovetic and easing in Aguero, why would they change that?
