The guy with the highest score of gw3 sure picked a good team, 95 points and Ramsey/Sturridge left, almost perfectly picked team...

Yes, it was a cross-shot. I think it was going on frame though, which is why the assist was given.

I said last night that they'd be in a bit of a conundrum depending on whether they classed it as a save for Adrian. They obviously did

It would require downgrading your forwards/multiple moves, but I think Fab in the midfield is almost a requirement. 4-3-3 will be tough this year with all the quality midfielders this year.

    Fell off last page:

    Some interesting fallers:

3 Burnley players - did very well yesterday and have a good run of fixtures coming up
    Ward fell to 4.9
Simpson fell to 4.4 - he's just gone to Leicester. If he's a first teamer attacking fullback he could be a good value 5th defender.

Agree on all those. De Laet seems quite solid at right back for Leicester though, would be surprised if he's nailed on, probably just competition.

    2 FT/ 1.5itb, any advice would be great 🙂

    Krul
    Terry - Coloccini - Caulker
    Sigurddson - Sterling - Hazard - Ramsey
    Dzeko - Rooney - Pelle

Elliot Bertand - PVA - Albrighton

    Morning dzzz,

Probably my best start in years (aligning with uniteds worst 🙁 )....that WC is safely tucked away for now :). Have 2FTs and want to build some value

    Krul
Jones Bardsley Chester --- Ferdinand naylor
Ramsey siggy mata eriksen --- jwp
    Rooney dzeko costa

A: mata >> fab / sterling and carry over FT
    B: mata + eriksen >> fab and sterling....depending on today's game
C: any other options...don't know who else to remove...Rooney perhaps

I'd say A, save the other transfer for more pressing matters. You already have Costa, so wait on Rooney for another week at least?

i don't think building value will be as important as it was last year - prices aren't rising as fast as they did last year.

That said, Mata to Fab unless Sterling dominates vs. Spurs.

i'd keep Rooney given upcoming fixtures, but many seem to disagree.

Might also wait to see if any other new players come in. Just read about Blind to Man U and Falcao maybe to City.

Thanks all....I reckon both mata and eriksen gonna drop in price esp if eriksen does nothing today..

Problem is I am 0.1m short to do eriksen to sterling and hold other transfer depending on injuries etc.

I understand that an international call up is a prestigious event in a young footballer's career but I also think that Hodgson is just a bit desperate when he calls up players like Chambers. Let him play with the U21's instead of this push, push, push approach. His readiness shouldn't really be in question when it happens and he's still developing as a club player. Let him play without the pressure for a while.

sure but I think there's too much hype for good young English players and don't think it helps their development much

Sitting around in Arsenal's reserves is what won't help his development, which is what might happen, same as a lot of young players who go to the big clubs.

Morning DZers, I'm currently having my worst week of the season and with only 2 players left, it's not gonna get much better 😆

Costa > Adebayor was silly in hindsight (unless Ade scores a brace tomorrow) but I wouldn't have done it if I didn't have 2FT. Who said having 2FT is a good thing? 😉

Anyway, I've got a couple of early transfers in my sights... But I have the exact money to do them, so any price rises or drops will ruin my plan. I might just wait til after the Spurs game tomorrow and then hit the button and pray I don't get any injuries over the international break. I'll have Chester (WHU) as my first sub in case injuries strike...

I screwed up hard. I genuinely thought Costa was injured but I should of played Moore instead (off the bench) and not have been so scared of not owning Jovetic. I looked at Jovetic's stats this year and last season and was very impressed but his sample size wasn't enough...might keep him against Arsenal though. At least Adebayor is a good long-term choice.

      Krul
Ivan Janmaat Bertrand ( PVA, Duff)
Ramsey Fabregas Sterling Sigurdsson ( Dyer)
      Aguero Costa Naismith

      I wouldn't spend 5.5m on a 5th mid(ala Young), and I wouldn't rotate Naismith and Dyer.

So IMO, either 352 with Dyer or 343 with Naismith, and use cash to upgrade elsewhere

Cheers. I could downgrade Dyer to King and free up a million. I could either save it or put a bit more into the keeper position.

However, I prefer to have an 'active' bench to cover injuries, rotation etc since this is my WC long-term squad. Mind you my 2 spare defenders (who rotate very well by the way) can always come in.

    Aguero, Costa, Naismith

0.2 in the bank. Switched Rooney, Bojan --> Aguero, Naismith before the price rise :). Might still consider going back to Rooney before GW4 though.

Any other advice? Vlaar, Dummet and Dyer are not nailed on my team yet.

Almost identical to mine posted above.

Vlaar now runs into a nightmare run of fixtures, Dummett's just been dropped and Wisdom may be about to. Better 4m options might be Moore and Duff.

So far I'm thinking Mata and Dzeko to Cesc and Costa -4 (ridiculous I sold him I know). Pending injuries/price changes.

    Begovic
    Ferdinand - Clyne - PvA
    Eriksen - Mata - Siggy - Ramsey
    Dzeko - Balotelli - Rooney

    Gilks -- Marney - Kelly - Chester

Seems very sensible. Couple of fires to put out in defense but I'd make the two moves you suggest first for sure.

Does anyone think Man U will score more than other top teams over the next three fixtures. Because their easy run has been nothing short of disaster. Also they don't even look like scoring. I have had a good gameweek but have 3 Man U players, one 3.9 who is not playing, myhill. Should I panic and wildcard to remove the Man U players restructure my team to a 352 instead of 343.

I'm holding tight with Roon, Mata, and Jones. If they don't score vs. QPR at home, that may change.

I've gone 3-5-2 with Naismith as my 3rd forward.

Yes, I know. If Man U looked better than a newly promoted team I would not even be considering it. But it seems like hoping rather than expecting them to perform.

Van Gaal has said it will take 3 months for the players to adapt and he's not looking wrong. I started with 3 United players and after WCing I have none. One game might be a panic; 3 easy fixtures blown is a pattern.

have done my 2 FT, Ivan and Clyne in for Azpi and Kolarov for free

    ...................Begovic
    ........Ivan - Clyne - Hutton
    Fabregas - Yaya - Ramsey - Siggy
    .....Naismith - Rooney - Costa

    Gilks; Marney, Chambers, Baird

I'd like to be rid of Yaya/Rooney soon but those are luxury moves..next up on the chopping block are Chambers and Baird..maybe the FPL gods will strike Kosc/Mert down with a 2-3 week injury 🙄

2 good transfers but you're left with hutton starting and 2 non-playing defenders on your bench. Looking at Villa's run of games you'll want Hutton on the bench so certainly Baird to Moore or Duff needs to be your next move.

        agreed

I'm looking at the following, in no particular order yet

        Yaya > Sterling/Di Maria
        Rooney > Aguero
        Baird > Duff/Moore/PvA/Colo/Naylor
        Chambers > Moreno/Favio

If it was a straight decision between Lamela and Fab, I'd choose Fab. The rest of his team looks fine which is why I advised that.

That's one way of looking at it. Another way is seeing that he's got 4 assists in 3 games, and is owned by 37% of teams, so you're missing out on consistent returns that a lot of active players are getting basically every week.

Horrible GW. Costa----Kun(-4), Schurrle doesn't play, Mata blank, Rooney blank 😕

Tempted to activate my WC.....but that would be silly. Thoughts? Team's below

    DDG
    Terry Debuchy Chester (Caulker,Wisdom)
    Mata Ramsey Sigurdsson Schurrle
    Rooney Aguero Naismith

ATM, I have an 8 point hit lined up. Terry, Schurrle and Mata on the way out. So probably don't need to WC.....

You don't need to WC, so avoid that.

Just remember a WC doesn't guarantee you any more points than your current squad, just the chance to feel better after a bad GW.

      Keep Terry. No internationals.

A -4 for Mata and Schurrle (fab and Sterling..?)

At this point i wouldn't use the WC, as it could generate far more in incremental points for a double game week then the 8 pts it will cost you now.

I mean when is their a better time? I don't like using it on DGW (Unless its the end of the season like GW 37) because you tend to get 2-3 players from teams playing 2 games, even if the team is mediocre therefore screwing up your team for the rest of the season.

as I said, I don't want to use it now, but if there are lots of players you want to get in, go for it! 🙂
