After kicking off our series of Big Numbers articles with a look at the best performing Defenders over the first three Gameweeks, we now move further up the pitch. This time round we focus on midfielders, with a trio of summer signings all showing plenty of promise in their new surroundings.

I think anyone selling Mata this GW is mad.

Sterling does look, however a great option for this GW.

Certainly not for a hit, is my advice.

I would call it a small chance. Falcoa may start on bench more likely, imo.

I think it's FFS herd mentality selling Mata on the chance he may be benched.

VG has made no indication that this will happen. Maybe he will during his presser, but i doubt it very much.

Mata has scored (iirc) 8 goals in the last 9 games as CAM. I may be completely wrong, but there is no way I am selling. 🙂

Have both Costa and hazard as doubts but still want to do Mata -> Sterling. Would you do it now (I have Siggy as first sub so still pretty satisfied if one of them doesn't play) or wait to make sure at least one can play.

Or just do Hazard -> Sterling/Fabregas?

      Krul / Elliot

      Ivan / Lovren / PVA / Naylor / Moore

      Aguero / Costa / Naismith

Which of these options would make you sleep better at night if they were on your team?

      A. a defense with Ivanovic, Clyne, Moreno
      B. a strike force of Aguero, Costa, Welbeck?

B all the way. Ivanovic historically hasn't scored much more than the other Chelsea defenders and it will revert to normal soon. The other 2 are nothing special either just above average so far.

Although the injury proneness of the forwards you have there could be a concern I guess.

Could we have our first 4m starting keeper?

Could Alex McCarthy oust Green at QPR after a good string of performances for Reading in the prem a few seasons back and being very highly rated at championship level.

He rejected Liverpool at the end of this transfer window to sign for QPR

He could oust him later in the season, but I think Green's place in the league is secure for now.

This reminds me of David Marshall, really surprised no one snapped him up after his performances last season for Cardiff.

One of these players for next season I think. Unless he gets an opprotunity with a Green injury then he may be able to take over

        I'm in same boat.

I've gone Naylor & PVA but was tempted by Coloccini.

      Sage Sheep on Contentment:

Most do not truly know what they want.
      Achievement will not bring happiness,
      Wealth will not bring happiness,
      Possession will not bring happiness.

We desire that which makes us happy,
      Yet we should desire happiness.
      Why seek a false means,
When what we truly desire requires none?

      True happiness is found within
      In the present moment
In absence of thought and desire
      In the nothingness and peace.

We need only to let go of thought.

      Begovic/Krul
      Hutton/Terry/Coloccini/Debuchy/Caulker
      Sterling/Fab/Siggy/Ramsey/Albrighton
      Rooney/Costa/Riviere

      2 FT

      Thinking of going

      Debuchy > Clyne
      Riviere > Welbeck

and then next week Rooney > Falcao

      Yay? Nay?

Good use of 2 FT. The Rooney > Falcao plan is quite premature since the latter hasn't even played for United yet, reassess after this weekend.

I tried building a team with a Strike force of Dzeko, Naismith, Welbeck for a laugh. Felt like a cartel leader with all that cash. 😆

Did you have Sanchez, Hazard, Yaya and ADM in your midfield?
